Nick, because he wasn't bitten, and also I like Nick. Sure, he didn't act so great in the beginning but he apologized and explained himself, which I really like.
I choose nick, becuase pete was clearly bitten, even if i did save him, he wouldnt have lasted very long, even if i cut off his leg it wouldnt have worked. We know this from expireance.
I chose Pete. He was more of a "Voice of Reason" for Clementine. Not to mention he said that he knows that amputation does work. One could argue that it doesn't because of what happened to Lee. However, you could argue that Lee just didn't amputate his leg in time. Another example is Hershel from the TV series. They cut his foot of instantly and he survived.
Also, I think Pete would be a better shot than Nick is.
i too chose Nick because Pete was bit on the ankle, im sure hes going to be pissed off at me thinking Pete to be the less capable and more deserving of my help. but Nick didnt see the bite.

You mean "arm" for Lee, lol. I chose Pete for the same reason you did. Most people chose Nick only because he wasn't bitten. Maybe amputating his leg might actually work.
Chose Nick because of how fast Pete got bitten. My mind went into survival mode, took me a whole other playthrough to realize Pete is yelling for both of you to get over to him. I regret this choice perhaps the most out of any in TWD, next to bringing Lilly along. Really tempted to change my choice before episode 2 but... urrrgh.
I chose Pete without a second thought because he gave Clem a chance when no one else would when it looked like she was bitten.
I felt he deserved a chance as well. Even if his is a confirmed lurker bite, he demonstrated that he knew about the whole amputation thing when he suggested amputating Clem's. I knew it would be the first thing he'd attempt to do, so he might still have a chance.
Not to mention Nick had a way higher chance of getting away from there on his own. He's got ammo, he's on the house side of the river, he knows his way back, not to mention he could have just turned tail and ran from the walkers all the way back to the house, which it seems like he did.
I helped who needed help the most. Leaving Pete to die just because he's bitten and Nick had a better chance of fighting seemed like a selfish thing to do , to me. Thinking of my own safety above others in greater need doesn't really sit right with me, you know?
Especially after all he's done for Clem. I guess I'm just too idealistic, since most people seem to pick Nick instead :[

In the heat of the moment, I completely forgot what Pete had done for Clementine. I just saw something on Pete's ankle and assumed he was a goner. Probably says something heartless about me deep down. Went with Nick.
I went with Pete because we could easily just cut his leg off and he was in less danger than Nick was. Nick might've had ammo, but my god he was a TERRIBLE shot. I don't think I saw him hit one zombie in either scenario and they were REALLY DAMN CLOSE. Therefore whether Pete is bit is irrelevant, at least he can fucking aim a gun and doesn't have a temper tantrum every five seconds.
I saved Pete because I remembered him saying that amputation worked for someone he knew and I wanted to give him a chance to live, I trusted him more, he's probably better with a gun than Nick, and because he was yelling for us. To tell you the truth, I had a very hard time deciding who to save. The timer almost ran out for me before I quickly decided to choose Pete. I was regretful immediately because I forgot, in my panic, that Pete was just bit. I tried to rewind even though I promised myself I never would on my first playthrough; that's how freaked out I was, but it wouldn't let me. I'm still glad I choose Pete, though. He's my favorite of the Cabin Survivors.
Pete, I didn't care if he was bitten or not he was basically the only one who had my back when they saw me and trusted me despite being "bitten", I owed him, Besides i knew Nick would be able to run away because he wasn't hurt and is much younger
I choose nick, becuase pete was clearly bitten, even if i did save him, he wouldnt have lasted very long, even if i cut off his leg it wouldnt have worked. We know this from expireance.
I saved Pete. Pete and Luke were the ones who had been on Clem's side the whole time since they met her, so I wasn't about to let one of the people who had saved Clem's life die, even if he was bitten. Hopefully, they'll be able to do the amputation in time, and it won't matter.
Also, Pete was on the far side of the river with no ammo, Nick on the other hand, was closer to the house and had plenty of ammo. In fact, it looks like he even got away if Clem went to help Pete. Nick could take care of himself, Pete needed the most help.
Yes, depending on the situation, thats the key element, if we dont cut off his leg soon, it wont work, the real question is how much time does pete have to cut it off? before it fails to work? a few minutes? hours?
Nah, it doesnt say anything like it, the difference between lems situation and petes is clems bite was a dog, and its still surpriseing how they couldnt see that, pete got bit by a walker, we can see it clearly, we know what comes next, in a moment like that, instinct kicks in, i did the same thing for the same reasons, it doesnt make you a bad person for making a smart decision.

This choice was a tough one for me. I liked it because of that.
Anyways, after thinking about (quickly, of course. Curse you timers!) I went with Pete. I was cool with Nick after he apologized and everything, so it's not because I liked him more. It was because, like others have said, he stood up for Clem when she was bitten. He didn't lose his head like everyone else did, and he believed Clem when I told the truth. Plus, minutes before THAT he'd helped save Clem's life. I owed the man, bitten or not. I also reasoned that Nick had a better chance of escaping, because he had ammo and wasn't injured. Also, since he DID have ammo, I didn't want to be running in his direction. He hasn't been known for his trigger discipline.

A bit, in TWD i tend to pick the choices that i would choose, realisticly i would choose nick, but thats not to say i dont like pete, becuase i do, a decent character, but in this situation, i have to go with nick.
Okay, I can respect that. It's just that I'm of a mind set that drives my decisions to help those who need the most help. In this situation, Pete(bitten, no ammo, far side of the river).

Indeed, i do the same thing, i help who needs the most help, but when i do that depends on the situation at hand, for pete, its a matter of wrong place wrong time, he got into a situation that, thanks to season 1, i felt whatever happens would only delay his appearnt fate, i didnt want to take the chance of saving him only for him to turn later on, for clems sake.

Nick, I saw the bite on pete's leg and I thought he would die even if I did save him (I didn't know amputation could work) and plus I like Nick more then Pete.
People who went with Nick, because Pete was bitten, are BUNGHOLES. Christa and Omid didn't leave Lee when he was bitten. They were true friends. Older guy was nice for Clem and that's your repay - leaving him with zombies, wounded and defenceless.
In next episode I'll be rewarded for my decision. I'll enjoy cutting Pete's leg. You will watch Nick drinking whiskey. And he won't share.
I liked both, Pete and Nick, each one in his own way. I saved Nick because at the time it looked like Nick had more walkers approaching him and pete only had like 2... Also I thought it would be better to run to the side where we came from (where the cabin of the group is) and not to the other where Pete was, and ultimately because I did not thought Pete was that much hurt, I saw him getting bitten wich he said that he lost his fotting (yeah okay buddy... Lost your footing with a walker next to you...) but I did not had that in consideration if Nick had been the one bitten I'm guessing I would have saved him too. Basically what counted most for me (since I liked both of them) was the fact that I counted more walkers on Nick's side, thinking that pete could just run from 2 walkers (even bitten). Besides not making a decision based on the bite thing I guess it's not cool to judge other people on their reasons for a choice, you can agree or not but if people want to have that in judgement then they should...
I chose Nick for 2 reasons. First, Pete was bit, I know theres people saying he can survive, but really, I put my money on the guy who ISNT bit, he has a lot better odds.
Second, I didnt consider Clem to be running to help someone, I mean really, what could she do in that situation to help? So running to the side of the river where the house is was the logical choice, instead of running farther away into unknown terrain. Even if Nick got overrun, Clem could have run to the house at that point, if she was on the other side with Pete and he got overrun, where would Clem run to then? Stick to the terrain you know, intel is an important asset.
Nick. I've seen people get their legs cut off in the walking dead, and it's 50/50 for survival. Even then, he'd be useless, unless he got a badass Dale style pegleg. Plus, despite being a dick to him pretty much the whole time I talked to him (mostly unintentionally so), I liked him a little more than Pete.
I have two save files, one in which I still have my sweet Clementine and one where I have my hardened Clementine.
In my first save (Sweet Clementine) I stuck with Pete. I figured he'd be the first person her instincts took her to because he was the nicest and most welcoming to her. He pretty much stood by her more than anyone else and there's a sense of security in that. I know he was bit and TT made sure to let us know that she, herself, noticed it, but I just feel that's what she would have done. Besides, that look of pure terror on Pete's face was heart-crushing.
In my second save (Hardened Clementine) I ran, not towards Nick, but closer to the house. LOL. I figured that THIS Clementine's first instinct would be to get closer to safety (plus Nick still had bullets) and be able to high-tail it out of there if she needed to. Besides, after having that conversation with Luke "The same thing happened to her parents that happens to everyone" it just left Pete as a lost cause. She knows what a bite does, seen it with Lee, and I figured she would cut her losses at that point.
I had two saves from season 1, one where I played nice and honest and one where I played aggressive, I continued that trend with season 2. the first run through I played clem as I thought she would be... and I chose pete because he was a more stable authority figure, and I assumed that nick would make his way over to us too.
The second time I played clem more manipulative, and I had her go to Nick... because Pete was bit.
Awesome, from the people I talk about my gameplay I was the only one to consider the fact that Nick was in the side of the house and Pete was in the complete opposite... I'm happy to know more people considered this, I mean you ave to protect the people you like for sure, but you have to protect yourself (or Clem in this case, frist) it's not logical to run to the unknown surrounded by walkers, chosing that side would leave you in a terrain that Clem knows (ok Clem was only tehre for a day but she come through that side so I'm guessing she memorized the way back), and even if she gets kind off lost Nick knows the way...
People who went with Nick, because Pete was bitten, are BUNGHOLES. Christa and Omid didn't leave Lee when he was bitten. They were true friend… mores. Older guy was nice for Clem and that's your repay - leaving him with zombies, wounded and defenceless.
In next episode I'll be rewarded for my decision. I'll enjoy cutting Pete's leg. You will watch Nick drinking whiskey. And he won't share.
i think the whole point of the game is choosing own moral decisions, if you make other save game files each with different decisions then it ruins the spirit of the whole moral decision making of the game...

This game really make you think about survival, but to be honest I don't know why I went for Nick. I did a lets play on my YouTube, and apparently i Said "Petes been bit, Ive got no Choice" so I went full survival mode apparently. It was just something I did. I have no idea why.'-'

I saved nick since I knew pete got bit and nick has more walkers on him and I saved pete in my what I could have done file aka file 2

If Pete survives, wonder how people who chose Nick will react.
For me I went to the person who was going to keep Clementine safer and that was the guy with ammo and who wasn't bit.

Dale and Hershel disagree there

EDIT: More danger than Nick was, pardon my typo.

Cutting limbs off actually does work, just only maybe 60% to 80% of the time, depending on the conditions.
I saved Pete. Pete and Luke were the ones who had been on Clem's side the whole time since they met her, so I wasn't about to let one of the people who had saved Clem's life die, even if he was bitten. Hopefully, they'll be able to do the amputation in time, and it won't matter.

The longest time before a successful amputation in TWD was over half an hour, so I figure he's got plenty of time.
It would at the very least however say that maybe you lean towards being a bit pragmatic.
