It isn't worth not purchasing the game. Even if I thought the customer service sucks I'd distract myself and purchase the game because it's brilliant. It shouldn't discourage you. It's worth playing
So yeah, this game has been a test to see how telltle operates as a gaming company, first impressions are huge and thus far I have a bitter ta… moreste.
After the first season, I expected delays and dont even mind them, but the lack of information provided to the paying customers on thier own community site is absolutely discouraging and borderline insulting. Im not here to play the forum game of whiners vs trolls but, on the off chance Telltale actually reads any of this, they are losing clientelle. If service was up to par, I would have been interested in purchasing the entire telltale games collection but, not now. Youve spoiled your chance at cash from me and I wonder....how many others?
Great game, terrible customer service.
PS Robert Morgan: Awesome clip of Kimble lol
Then it wouldn't be "this great game" They're giving us info for the first time and people are whining? People were more civil before they gave us any info. This will basically teach them to stay radio silent . Obviously they won't give us too much info right now because TWAU, yet they gave two things this week. That alone was unexpected and good, unlike their radio silence attitude
The problem here, and it really is quite amazing, is that Telltale can say that it "is right around the corner" but for those who were on the … moreforums for season 1 will remember, Telltales word is absolute garbage. Even when they rarely say something it usually is the most general thing so that "everyone wins." Expect next week for Telltale to tweet "Episode 2 will be released eventually on a day ending in y"
As Ive said before telltale is absolutely terrible. I really wish another company would handle this great game.

Anyone here who was actually AROUND for TWD Season 1's release?
Whats up with all this TWAU stuff I keep seeing? I know its another game they released but, it really has nothing to do with TWD and its release etc, its a seperate game, that, Im sure many people havent bought. It doesnt make me feel better that they released some other game instead of the one I paid for and waited patiently for. Could you please direct me to this info you speak of? I havent seen anything about its release at all except for the origional estimate of 4-6 weeks an episode. Im rarely on here tho so not a regular. Cheers

though i could kill for Episode 2 i will put this out. So many games get released early and unfinshed with problems. I would rather wait and get a good game than get a pushed out poorly writen game.
I guess this point is valid if they no longer care about TWD paying customers since they already have my money. Thus putting more emphasis on the wolf game to hook NEW customers but, they dont get a cent from me until I see improvement on my existing purchase so, really, its just making thier existing customers irritated which, in my opinion is a bad move.
the first episode of TWAU is a success with both reviews and sales. And they COULDN'T really delay TWAU episode 2 anymore,4 months has passed since episode 1. TWAU has got his fanbase and they deserve to play too. We should be happy that TWD E2S2 is coming probably this month.
P.S TWAU is a great game and it has the same gameplay of TWD. Play it,if you can.

I disagree. I said in another thread (I think the one about bashing telltale) that there is no content worth 2 months of waiting when it takes only 2 hours to play!! I acknowledge the game is absolutely great and riveting. But I am fed up with Telltale. Do you know what is going to happen again in approximately 7 weeks? We will be on the forum AGAIN talking about how much Telltale sucks because they are behind on Episode 3.
If they were treating the customers in an incompetent manner and releasing crappy games then maybe you'd have a point. But they're releasing g… moreold when they, you know, get round to releasing it. They just need better methods for dealing with the customers.
Don't lose faith. They haven't confirmed, but nor denied February 18th, which is the most likely date. We have to remember they announced the release of All That Remains literally one day before it actually released, and this could happen again.
And to create even more hype, the TV-show, and the comics start again this weekend. Telltale might announce the game as well now when the TWD hype reach it's peak.
What the hell is the point of episodic anyways with such a huge delay between each episode? For premium television, you can expect to wait one week for 50-60 minutes of entertainment. For The Walking Dead, we are expected to wait 3 months for 90 minutes of entertainment? I hate the episodic format in general. I become fairly disinterested after about two weeks, and it's hard to care at all after 2-3 months.
I also don't know why the hell they are juggling two games. Like they weren't having enough trouble just keeping up with one.
I really don't like supporting a company like Telltale that just doesn't care about its customers at all. I gave them my money, now they have no reason to care about me. I wish this game was handed off to CD Projekt RED or some other company that gives a damn about customers without the content being adversely effected. Even EA has something that resembles a PR department. I mean, disregarding all of the technical problems, lack of communication, and scheduling issues, just look at this forum. I've never seen something so buggy and full of spam. Not to mention that mods are completely powerless to stop repeat offenders because they have absolutely no means of doing so.
TLDR: Get your shit together Telltale. Incoming dislikes for lack of ass-kissing.

It isn't like that. The order is TWAU, TWD, TWAU, TWD all the way to ep5 of each game. That's why TWAU must come first for Telltale and it isn't delaying TWD anymore than it'd already take to be available. It'll be here soon

Differing opinions isn't ass kissing. I agree, if they want it to be like TV series it should be one ep every few weeks at most, but that means no fan input

This is the way Telltale makes games. This is the way Telltale have always made games. The only difference now is that they're working on two games simultaneously. Telltale's episodic model isn't perfect but it's the best we've ever seen. Back when Valve experimented with Episodic gaming, we had to suffer much longer delays (over a year between the release of Episode 1 and Episode 2) only for Valve to abandon the episodic model entirely without releasing the final episode.
A more recent attempt at episodic gaming would be Halo 4: Spartan Ops. 343 more or less made the entire series in advance and so when the first few episodes turned out to be mediocre, there wasn't much they could do to fix it. Sure you got a weekly release but that led to a pretty shoddy experience in the end.
Yes, Telltale haven't got it perfect, but they are the only company I know of that have seen real success with episodic gaming. They're doing the best they can. Waiting is part of the episodic model and if you can't wait between episodes, it might be better if you wait for the entire season to be released.

If they bend over and arch their back really sexy like then your blue balls will just get bigger. Then you really wont be able to contain yourself if they have to delay. That's why the release date is hidden.
I'm probably going to sound like a complete turkey, but I think we'll get news of the next episode even tomorrow.
If we don't, most likely next week. Puzzlebox's Tweet makes me think the episode has gone gold and that Telltale are only trying to contact Sony and Microsoft about the releases now.
And I know it's been said several times, but February 18th does seem like the most realistic release date.

What does Valve's work on the Half Life episodes have to do with TWD? They could have just as easily been called Half Life 3 and Half Life 4. They were full games in every aspect other than story, which was the only thing that was really episodic.

I was. To tell you the truth,I actually think that the "around the corner" tweet is bit early for Telltale to be giving S2 E2 news so soon. Recall that Telltale has had winter holidays off a month ago. I'd add a week or two to the estimated wait time in the official FAQ just for this episode.

This isn't a release date, it's a stupid, purposely vague teaser. Are we supposed to jump at this?
Episodes are supposed to release in 4-6 weeks. I should be so pleased that they are managing 8-9 weeks!
how was that good? One message in 50+ days ? ? ?Geez you people need to take a course on Marketing specifically customer relations. I don't know where you live but in America companies are and should be held to high standards. Telltale seems to have magic powers where they can do whatever they want and they will always be a few on the forums who think its ok.

It does. They can't release both games too close together or TWD will overshadow TWAU. The games need to be separated

Of course its not coming Next week, then we have vine and new photos about The Walking Dead S2E2
I think its come next month.
omg no didnt fully read..
This ruined my day
Most people have guessed the 18th as a minimum release date, the 11th or 12th is way too soon IMO.
18th is my guess now.
Yeah i've been gonig with February 18th for awhile and i'm sticking to it until proven otherwise.

If they plan on releasing around the 18th, they must have submitted the episode already.

Telltale went on vacation over the holidays. Take two weeks off.
They can take as long as they want, as long as none of the episodes corrupt all my saves like season one did TWICE.
