Good consolidation of the major problems here. I watched/read some reviews before buying the game, so I was aware of Telltale's history with glitches, so that part didn't quite annoy me too much. What annoyed me, though, is that almost none of the previews from Episode 1's ending were actually present in Episode 2. I played the whole thing again multiple times in multiple combinations, just to see what would happen. I even tried playing again from Episode 1 and catching Twiddle instead of the Woodsman to see what would happen. Bleh.
Thanks for the comment Vainamoinen . I was unlucky as I chose all the options that made the flaws obvious lol, especially as I like to be critical of things so it was pretty clear to me .
Its possible the overarching storyline may not have changed, but I think changes to the episode did happen. I think that Ep2 is the only one that will change while the rest of the story will fall into place as it should have. Of course this is all speculation so not many facts to argue here lol .
I agree here as well, the majority of the episode was as you say, narrative extra. I did find it enjoyable though so it wasn't much of a problem, but you can file Prince lawence under there as well I guess, so good point . I think we will definitely see him again though as there was an element of mystery as to what happened in his house. I'll add your point to the item so people can see both sides
As for the storyline, that's an interesting point, in the walking dead they had the easy way out, yet in The Wolf Among Us they have to close them all off satisfyingly and with a reasonable conclusion. As you say this will be an interesting test(if that is the case), and I do hope they succeed as it will cement them as great story tellers .
Great list, spike1.
I admit that upon playing the episode, I wasn't even that aware of many faults, but seeing the arguments concentrated l… moreike that, yeah, I'm scratching my head a bit as well.
That doesn't mean I agree with all those points of course. I especially do not see 'major storyline changes'. The narrative skeleton of episode 2 was probably planned a year ago, including the cliffhanger, and did not change. What this episode needed, at the absolute basic level, was interrogation scene - Snow's return - postmortem examination - Crane revelation.
Everything else is, more or less, a narrative extra. There's a row of new characters - Jack, the Mermaid, Georgie Porgie, Hans - which will play a part in later episodes. They could have been introduced in later episodes without problems. The same is true for the reoccurrence of episode 1 characters: Prince Lawrence was obviously planned for episode 2, but can still make an appearance in t… [view original content]
I can't help but feel that the true story was that it was the boy who cried wolf all along, and they had to rewrite the entire episode/season to change this as most people had already speculated it so early on lol.. idk
Did anyone talk about how Georgie's girls may be under some enchantment to force secrecy? I wonder, can they tell secrets or is that just not simply possible? Mermaid stressed the word ''can't'' over the word ''won't''. Makes me think it's not possible and if it is possible for them to share, something bad will happen.
I remember someone posting a thread about this, and about the magic being linked to the ribbon. It seems like a reasonable possibility, although it doesn't explain why the magic mirror couldn't reveal the location of Faith after her death as the ribbon was off(The magic could stay on for a length of time though, that could be it). I think someone also said that it might be the ribbon that kills them when they speak, Bigby did say the cut was made by something magical

Several choices from Episode 2 either don't work well or do not matter
Those were the biggest problems for me.
Might I add that wether you paid for your drink in ep1 or told Holly to send the bill to Crane, it doesn't seem to affect the scene with her in ep2.
All I hope for is that you're progressively gaining either the respect or the fear/contempt of other characters and the consequences will respectively pay off or come bite back at you later in the game.
Well, almost...Bigby said the cuts could have been made by something magical. Or just something really sharp. Also worth noting that Faith's ribbon was still on her corpse (specifically in her mouth) so the magic might still have been working. Just a theory

I meant the crazy guys that look at the episode 10 times, and that we should make theories based on memory.
It's not Dum Its Dee Little mistake there.
Yea I nitpick so what
Sorry, thanks for the heads up, I thought it was Dumb this entire time lol . I'll fix it now
I think you nailed it, explains the delay and weak episode 2 making it feel like a rushed rewrite.
