Well, I consider myself new (only been on here since about 2 months ago) but the last thing I would want to do is cause shit.
I like coming onto these forums and discussing things. It fills in time in between episodes and we get some pretty interesting theories and fiction and ideas from each other.
I'm not going to let stupid trolls ruin my time here, or dickheads that can't accept someone else's point of view. Its a sad fact that forums like these are going to attract people like that. This forum, after all, is representative of the world we live in.

1 - ... yeah. They get old. S1 was the story of Lee and Clem, and nor S2 is the… more story of Clem on her own. I do get annoyed that people can't accept this and move on, but at the same time, I do sort-of understand where they're coming from. Lee was... he was awesome and it does seem a shame to have him gone, but that's the way the story's gone and... yeah, people need to move on.
2 - I don't have a problem with new people as a rule, but SOME of them can be such bad apples that it taints how we assume new members will behave in general. When a couple of 'noobs' start posting porn or insulting other members, it doesn't make anyone look good - other new members, the site, anyone. And while the mods do try to act quickly against this, this negative perception of 'noobs' takes root quickly and takes a LOT of effort to shake off.
Unfortunately, the fact that proper punctuation seems to … [view original content]

Cheater! You kept your mod hat on the whole time!
I'm pretty new, but have to say the "Kenny confirmed for season 2" stuff made me smile, if only because it spawned spinoffs mocking it like "juicebox confirmed" gifs/etc.
Without the "Kenny confirmed" stuff, how many of us would have truly come to know the real hero of this season is and always will be the apple juicebox? Just bear that in mind the next time you see a Kenny fanboy spouting nonsense

2) I take that personal, as I am a new person to the forum. I have not started fights, but I have voiced strong opinions, some of them similar to your own regarding Lee theories and Kenny confirmed for epsiode 2 comments... so lets not group new people into one big group.
3) The Kenny stuff is getting way old, far more so than the Lee is alive threads. because it pops up everywhere, in every thread whether it has anything to do with kenny or not.
4) who cares if people down vote you? you really can't take a little abuse from people that are a little cuckoo about the main character in the series? you kinda have to expect some of that no?
ok, glad we had this talk, now go back and get your crayons and draw some pictures or something
1) I agree. Lee is dead. lets move on.

Disliking is what you don't like about new people?
First. Dislikes do nothing
Second. You can't see who dislikes... so how do you know i… moret's someone new??
Third, a continuation of 2 really. Why can't it be an old (or perhaps new) troll?
Four. Seriously, dislikes mean nothing unless you want them to mean something.....
I was on searching the forums after Episode 1 got released because like I said I didn't know it was a game you can buy, just a online game, that's why I downloaded it from a torrent site. I was on here since Episode 2 so I missed 1 episode. My whole point was, people are complaining (who are new on here) about the waiting for the episodes, yet People who were here from the start will know how bad the waiting was last year.
Well if you don't like what people post, what's the point in commenting?
you joined july tho....... that's like episode 3 lol. And some 'newbies' might've joined this forum late but have been waiting just like 'you'… more. I just joined after hearing about it in season 2 lol. So it's not alright to classify people as 'noobs' if they just joined this site.
I was actually pretty hesitant to join first of all, since I was afraid THIS would happen.
Yeah but whats the point in saying something that's not going to happen? Yes, it's fine to discuss how Lee could survive or something but people actually saying he is? Come on now, there is no way his coming back and the Kenny thing. Yes we get it, a lot of people are stoked Kenny is going to be in S2 but why keep posting "Kenny will be confirmed in Season 2" On EVERY post, even one's that weren't about him. If you're discussing say Clementine and Luke, what purpose does a Kenny picture have in that?
People have the right to post their opinions to others isnt that the point of this? I agree with you about all the fighting and downvoting that been going on but paragraphs 1-3 are ridiculous.
My whole point on the newbies comment was that they get on here and act like they've been here and they know the characters when it's the ones who have been here since the first episode of S1 that have more of that honour. Yes, they can play through it and bond with characters but it was US older ones who were there from the start, the ones who watched the journey go on, the ones who waited all those days, weeks, months for an episode. I guess my whole point is, the newbies don't feel that kind of bond that the ones like us who waitied and were around when it was coming out. It's like Tennis, when Roger Federer retires and people watch videos of how good he was they'll never know that satisfaction of what we at this time had when we saw him playing live.
The Kenny comment was meaning that I was one of only a few who cared about him (If you've been here from the start of S1 you'd know) at the time when S1 was coming out and now all of a sudden heaps of people like him yet at the start the majority was more interested in Lily or Carley, Im just saying that I am a better Kenny fan then most because It didn't take me a *feel sorry for him feeling" to like him, no when I first saw him I knew he was my favourite character.
* I agree. People, if you want Lee back so much, this is what fan-fiction is for. I'm sure there are a few good "Lee never died" stories out t… morehere somewhere. Go read one of those. Better yet, go write your own. But you're sure as hell not going to have any chance of seeing him back alive in Season 2.
* Things have gotten more hostile and argumentative here. That's true. But blaming it all on "the newbies" is stupid. I got here last July. Does that make me a newbie? And if it does, does that mean I have any less to contribute than anyone else? Jabba's been here since before you were. Does that make him a valued member of this community? Hell the fuck no! Many of the best users I've seen on here have been newbies who very recently joined. A lot of trollish pricks have also joined and that's a shame but don't lump those two groups together like they're one single entity.
* While I agree on principle, you constant insistence that "I'm a better … [view original content]
It's funny to have a laugh haha, but just posting it everywhere i.e Posts that aren't even about him. Yes, a lot want him back but when people are discussing stuff about different characters and you see someone post that, yes we know you're excited but there is a Kenny thread for a reason.

I only care because it gives people an easy way to disagree with someone's opinion and remain unnoticed. Yes, people will agree or disagree with you that's how it will always be. But if you do disagree with someone, then respond to them. Tell them why you disagree with their opinion. I'd rather get an abusive response then someone who just dislikes my comments because they don't like it.
Do you know where my pink crayon is?

Just because you were there at the beginning does not mean that you have a greater appreciation or deeper understanding for the story or its characters. Emotional engagement isn't something that's doled out on a first come, first serve basis. It comes from trying to understand the characters and their motivations and empathizing with the terrible and tragic things that happen to them. It doesn't matter if that happens 2 hours after an episode is released or 2 months after it's released. Your level of attachment to a story is determined by internal factors like how much a character resonated with you, not external things like when you played the game. So I would suggest holding off on dismissing the possibility that "the newbies" can the same bond that you do for the game.
I don't see how deeming a character your favorite before really getting to know him makes you a better fan of him. None of the Kenny fans I've talked to ever mentioned "feeling sorry for him" as their reasoning for liking him. It's always the same thing. "He had my back when it mattered, I had his back when it mattered."

I came at end of Season 1 so ouch that was very mean. Nobody's perfect so how can you assume everyone new is a dickhead? And yes I definitely agree about the Kenny, Clementine armies down voting you to hell its pretty annoying but man up because there's a lot of dickheads and trolls out there made to ruin our lives. Well a wise woman once said "It was never between you and them anyway" so if anyone is being annoying or dumb stand up to them and tell them what you don't like about them. I'll be there up voting you. And also another problem is the down voting trolls. Please just ignore them and be happy!
Because everyone who is knew thinks that they know everything and they know the characters yet they weren't even around when the first season came out.
How can I "stand up to them" When they downvote people? You don't know who it is. As I said, I'd rather them abuse me then doing the coward thing and down voting me.

They can develop bonds and relationships with characters because that's how the game is suppose to be. But they go on about how they liked this character yet they never had the bond that me and the older fans had. They can get the episodes straight away where as the older ones we had to wait for months just to get a new episode. I remember when episode 3 came out, I was thinking about the next episode for 2 weeks all the speculation and what's going to happen where as the newbies can just go onto the next episode like that. It's to say the experience when judging by your joined date you weren't around to see it like I was. You'll know that feeling with Season 2.
I said a few not only me but the majority were more into Lily and Carley. People sided more with Larry then they did Kenny at the time and in Episode 2 when Kenny went "Weird" more people chose to save Larry then to side with Kenny and then episode 3 the majority of those people sided with Kenny because 1: They felt sorry for him and 2: Lily and Carley were gone and they were the 2 main reasons why the majority didn't side with him. Carley was the more popular because people thought that her and Lee would have romance same with Lily so the majority weren't into Kenny but I always believe bros before hoes and I was right. Lily fucked off and Carley died. Even people hated Duck. Do you remember Duck being hated? I saved him over Shawn. And the majority of those ones who say to you "I had Kennys back" Were ones who sided with him after episode 3 or when he went missing in episode 5. There are some Kenny fans who like me sided with him from the start but they are very rare.

Yeah, I'd be awesome. JJ Abrams isn't returning my calls though. Not sure why...
What? Don't join that Disney crap!
Ya never know, Disney might actually revive the franchise. Its gonna have to be better than the prequels, right?
Uh, DIsney own Marvel and Star Wars (and Indiana Jones, for that matter).
I jumped on-board years ago.
I just hope they don't ruin Star Wars...

I remember trying to find the line where Lee could keep the peace with all the characters at once. There wasn't one.
I have played the walking dead since it came out, and I am new to the forum :P.
Point and case.
