Telltale won't do this next season. I only fiend for there games because their isn't anything new to play...YET. What games are we playing? Gh… moreosts? battlefield? Day Z? GTA? Theres not alot of choose from at this point but when new games start rolling out with the Xbox's and PS4's telltale will have competition and these 2 month delays won't fly. Im not saying we won't play TWD or TWUA but these 2 hour episode 2 month release will be a spec my overall gaming. Easily forgotten among the vast majority of awesome games
The fact that they said usually means that you have no chance of suing them.
Actually, if you believe so strongly it is possible, why don't… more you sue them right now?
If you have such a strong legal claim then you will be able to get a complete refund for yourself and many others.
Go on.
Ugh, another reason why telltale doesn't communicate with us at all or interact with us at times that isn't against their will.
Stop being such an annoying ass and learn how to read properly ; telltale NEVER confirmed their release dates - "4-6 weeks" is JUST AN ASSUMPTION. You CANNOT get a refund regardless, once you download their content it clearly says "NO REFUNDS". For Live, atleast. And I'm PRETTY sure for all downloadable content.
The only thing to do is be patient like the rest of us and keep your sanity.
This is a most common problem with the newbies as well, people who have not experienced release dates with telltale. Well guess what? You're doing so, deal with it - this thread is useless and a waste of space.

I hope you all will get a refund and leave the forum. I miss the time when on this forum you could discuss about the future episodes. Not like now when the forum is full of 15 old kids who keep complaining that they can't play all the episodes at once.
I think I've come to a conclusion that it's "no more season passes for me". It's just too unreliable to throw away money like that.
Regardless, I still want to play the rest of the episodes.

Cheap game of the highest standard and wanna refund please people stop rushing them don't want o… morene of my favourite games turning into battlefield bug full game. The longer the better means actually care about standard of there games and being small company they know only as good as last game
I honestly couldn't care less what I am "legally entitled to". I bought the game for a reason and I have no problem whatsoever with waiting for them to finish the episode--although I am hoping to avoid another wait the length of what we experienced with episode 2 of The Wolf Among Us.

First off, where was this "promise" of release times every made? It doesn't sound like a promise to me, but a general statement to give us a rough idea when they will release the next episode. Secondly, the average release time is about 8 weeks as it was in Season 1. If episode 2 fails to be come out by the end of February, then you can start complaining. Until then, cut the developers some slack. It's not easy to make a game, especially on a deadline.

Probably, in this case it's better to spend small amounts of money periodically rather than one larger amount of money at once. It's just more reliable to buy them individually, because if it turned out no more episodes would come, I would have saved some cash.

I don't mind waiting I bought the wolf among us season pass as well as the walking dead season pass at the same time. And before that I bought the complete season one of walking dead I am a ttg fan and I wouldn't ask for a refund because waiting for me is better you have almost a new game or part of one to look forward to sure its a long fucking wait but when its released oh so worth it
It isn't a PC game, it's multiplatform. It just turns out xbox sucks compared to PC (who would have guessed right?).
I haven't had it freeze and load times are very good.
EDIT: Although I did have a problem with it today not loading my save from my usb, but I chalked that up to problems with the season pass (not sure why I did that).
Can you give an example of an episodic game that ended in the middle of the season? Let alone when it was all paid for? Let alone, again, a TellTale game? Let alone, again, again, where the money wasn't returned?
How does someone vote this down? It's common sense. Don't put things in your FAQ that aren't true. It's misleading. What is there disagree with? I swear, I thought I was a pretty big fan of this game, but there are some serious fans out there who would defend Telltale over anything. You can still love the game and the creators, but be annoyed with the PR/customer service of the company. Criticizing their customer service is not the same as criticizing the game guys. Telltale needs to change the FAQ because it's simply not true. Can't everyone agree on that?
If that is the case, then why say so in the FAQ for the game? People DO consult FAQs you know before buying games. 4-6 weeks clearly gives the… more impression that wait time will be considerably shorter compared to TWDS1, where wait times were 6-9 weeks apart.
You don't just say something to mislead your customers. That is highly unfair to the customer.
I probably will too, but everyone is not as dedicated to the game as some of us are. Telltale is just starting to get a lot of acclaim, they need to deliver. Especially, considering that they're taking on a pretty big job with a huge fanbase with Game of Thrones. Although, those fans (which I am one of) have had the same problems with terrible wait times from George R.R. Martin. The difference is that GRRM doesn't give such misleading time-frames.
I wouldn't care either, if they didn't tell me something totally different BEFORE I made my purchase. I just think that is unprofessional. Newspapers, magazines, TV shows all have to meet their deadlines. They can't say "It's right around the corner". They can't get away with that. I have NO problem waiting, what I do have a problem with is not getting any updates for 2 months when they told me that my purchase would be available in 4-6 weeks. That's just not an honest business practice in my opinion and I certainly will keep it in mind next season. It's doubtful that I'll do the season pass thing again. They just aren't consistent enough of a company. I suppose I expected them to run like other companies and have good customer service and PR. Oh well, it's too bad because it's such a wonderful game and the creative people at TTG are very talented. I just can't count on their PR/customer service and that's not good for their reputation.
I don't care if they broke their 4-6 week deadline the game is worth every penny i paid and would happily have paid more for it and would neve… morer ask for a refund, Maybe they should have said 6-8 weeks but people need to be more patient as they did have their Christmas break and also TWAU delay could have caused some problems within the company causing a delay to TWD, season 1 was also delayed and took around 8 weeks for most of the episodes.
Thank you. If at all 4-6 weeks was a mere estimate and nothing like a concrete release timeframe, it should have been explicitly noted as such in the FAQ. If Telltale knew all along they could never deliver an episode within 4-6 weeks then it is downright false advertising and misleading their consumers by posting the timeframe in the FAQ.

You should read the FAQ for Season 2's website. It DOES say 4-6 weeks. He's not making that up. I'm guessing you're playing a semantics game because it says "usually". It's still misleading when there hasn't been an update for 2 months now.

No, I'm sorry, they absolutely did not and do not.
@himmatsj wrote: Steam will oblige
Telltale occasionally did, Steam absolutely does not. Steam's history of refunds is laced with nonexistance.
Steam Refund Policy wrote: "As with most software products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on games, DLC or in-game items purchased on our website or through the Steam Client. Please review Section 3 of the Steam Subscriber Agreement for more information."
@himmatsj wrote: Kentucky Route Zero stated all 5 acts will be released in 2013. However, only 2 of them were released last year. Steam has started honoring refund requests for the game.

Exactly, well said. I see you got downvoted for a common sense reply. lol. Some people... I don't want a refund, I just want regular updates if I'm going to pay for something in advance. That's all I ask. I have no problem waiting, but I do want to know when my product will be available. I think it's a very reasonable request. I subscribe to 3 magazines. I was told before purchasing each subscription when my product would be delivered. One magazine comes bi-monthly. I have no problem with waiting that long because I KNOW when it's coming. These companies have all stuck to their agreements. THAT is reliable customer service. Telltale should take a lesson from that type of practice if they want to do episodic releases, otherwise they'll be stuck with some disgruntled customers.
guys, don't downvote him. It is a consumers right to want their money back if they are dissatisfied with the product or how it was delivered t… moreo them. You may not agree with his views, but if he thinks he is being cheated from his money, then he should just get it back and be done with it. This is way better than him suing TTG and court deciding that he is right, which could end up for TTG to have to pay a huge fee as penalty.
Obviously, the majority here will not claim a refund, so my guesses are that even if things would really take a turn for the worst, TTG would only lose a little of their profit by refunding a couple of customers.
Because in the title I ALREADY explicitly mention "You are legally entitled to a refund if TTG breaks its promise again for EPISODE THREE". Ep3 isn't out yet, heck Ep2 isn't even. So of course this is not yet a possibility, as you should have understood from the title of this thread.
then change the god damn title to "You are legally entitled to a refund THAT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST YET if Telltale breaks it's promise (4-6 weeks… more) again for Episode 3" why is this thread even continuing if were talking about something thats not even possible yet?
Lol. I'm starting to feel that your mentality is the smarter mentality, at least when it comes to Telltale. I pay for 3 magazine subscriptions and they have NEVER let me down. They always deliver on time and have excellent customer service. However, I'm getting the impression that Telltale isn't quite up to snuff when it comes to delivering an already-paid-for product in a timely manner. So, this is the last season pass I'll be purchasing. I'll just wait till the complete version is released and $5 on Steam. Save myself some money and frustration. In the immortal words of George W. Bush, "Fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me twice, you can't get fooled again".
I think what Vain meant is that TellTale did not write/Say that it will be released and rather than the "4-6 weeks" timeline is made up by the mods from experience based on when past episodes been released.

The FAQ I linked above in which it states 4-6 weeks is the OFFICIAL TWD S2 FAQ by the TTG Team. The mods have their own FAQ on these community forums which is not in any way related to the official FAQ. Please do not get confused.

I agree with most of what you wrote, but not the last sentence. A company is not a person. Poor customer service is a perfectly legitimate reason to stop buying from a company. Businesses are not really entitled to forgiveness in a free market. Someone else will always make a better product and to that business will go the customers and the money. It's the most basic law of the free market and capitalism.
If you don't have the patience to wait for each episode to be released, then you should just wait until the whole game is out to buy it. When… more you buy the first episode, you are already aware there is a delay between episodes. Why get a refund when chances are you'll just re-buy the game when it's all out anyway? This is a case of patience and people severely lacking it anymore.
Unexpected things like delays happen. It's part of life. The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 I doubt Telltale expected to be delayed for so long which possibly pushed The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 2 back a little. If you read the Telltale twitter, we know TWD S2 E2 is pretty much complete. Release is imminent. And if you know Telltale, they announce the release date pretty much a few days before which leaves everyone guessing.
Remember, we're all human. To err is human. If you can't forgive someone for a mistake, then you shouldn't be forgiven for one, either. The world becomes a lot harsher when we stop forgiving each other.

Thankfully, I'm not a drama queen.
I can live with the wait. I enjoy their games.
I doubt there'll be a Walking Dead Season 3. They have GOT and TFTB coming up, so WD will probably end with S2.
yes took the words right out of my mouth, if he wants a damn refund so bad then why doesn't he try to get one
Because it is NOT YET possible. Did you even read my post right on top?

I guess they would thank you for the extra 5 dollars.

Refund Huh?....
SIKE
..... Your argument is that they would stop making episodes in the middle of a season? Really?...
Why would you play a PC game on a xbox? You must really like the freeze screens and long loading times...
Not like it's never happened before.
Where on earth did Telltale say it is an ASSUMPTION!?
Average release period for S1 was between six to seven weeks. Learn to do your math.
