Lack of puzzles and exploration in Season 2?
You know how in season one, the whole train thing was exploration and puzzles. I miss that. Where was that in Season 2? In season 1, after a whole hour of trying to figure out what to do, I had to look up a walkthrough because it was driving me insane. But I liked it, made it feel like I was really there. In Season 2, I picked up a hammer and I stole shit. Nothing that made me spend over an hour trying to figure out. That's why season 2 was only a little over an hour long.
Do you guys agree or disagree? I can't be the only one

Well that was in episode 3 duh
Hopefully it's because the first episode was set up, and the rest will be more puzzling.
I did spent a while looking for a needle, but not long at all.
How bout u wait until OTHER EPISODES come out
Let's wait for a couple of more episodes to see.
A bit more exploration would be nice, maybe a little "Hub" that you can explore before moving on. We never got to explore the house other than sneaking in, I really want to see the whole thing.
Yeah. It was also in Episode 1 looking in the pharmacy. Episode 2 with the farm. Episode 3 the train, and Episode 4 the school, Episode 5 not so much, but I understand why it was shorter.
I just wish it was in Season 2 more, hopefully that will be the case in Ep2
I think the first episode is always a bit slow. We obviously have the character development of the cabin survivors and getting used to playing as Clementine. I'm sure we'll see more of the puzzles later in season 2.
I feel like there was a missed opportunity to have some hubbing inside the house in the morning before heading out to the fish traps.
Agreed but think games now purposely make games easy to make it accessible to everyone maximizing profit look at new tomb raider when i was kid tomb raider was impossible always got stuck the new tomb raider hardest puzzle is which weapon will i use to shot people in the head but like it better but in terms of walking dead need more hard puzzles so feel like a badass when i complete it like my portal 2 experience
Or right after Clementine eats. It would have been the perfect opportunity to get to know everyone better and get our bearings.
Season 1 episode 1 had quite a lot of exploration for the walking dead in my opinion, this however did not have any opportunity to stop and talk to other characters.
I agree. It would allow for some cabin exploration and additional character development.
More exploration yes, but im not big of a fan for these TWD puzzles. Im mean that in S1 there was like five über easy puzzles that just slows things down... only my opinion, don't kill plz.
I would like more if they could make it make sense however the number of lets play's I've seen where people struggle to figure out they have to pick up the hammer in the walker fight scene
Not a big lack but a small lack. But what I really hated was that you could never just walk around the room and talk to people. Example: S1 E1 Lee is in the drugstore and has the chance to "check on" the other survivors like Lilly, Kenny, Carley, Clementine, and kind of Doug. In S2 we have no chance to walk up to people and talk to them(I don't think talking to Alvin or Sarah count) they come to us and we only have 1-5 min conversations.
Well I will wait until the new episode gets released before saying there is a lack of puzzles etc. However at this rate, I won't be around to play episode two, let alone the full game. Heck, my children and grandchildren won't live long enough to see the final episode released. I know one episode every twenty years might be okay for some, but unfortunately not everyone is immortal.
Well to be honest, in season 1, every episode had a puzzle.
E1: While in the convenience store, you had to figure out how to get outside.
E2: While at the barn there was a couple.
E3: The investigation, and the train.
E4: Inside crawford.
E5: ehh... not much in episode 5.
he first episode was to see how fans reacted to playing with Clementine, and the new grou and that stuff maybe they will put more puzzles in season 2, but this game ios about the decisions and the story, not that much about puzzles, so I wouldnpt expect too many of them. Well you had to figure out how to get in the house and then explore the house. And you explored the camp with Sam, I guess that kind off counts.
I see the walking dead game not as a game itself, but as kind off a tv series where you can choose what happens
It's only Episode 1, Jesus Christ be patient, I'm sure they'll add some puzzles and exploration!
There will very likely be more puzzles in the FOUR episodes (maybe more depending on DLC) that are still too come.
Its the lack of puzzles and the lack of free roaming WITH people to talk to. You literally only had TWO optional conversations in that episode. One is clicking on someone to try to convince them you werent bitten and the other is talking to Arvin, which is kind of hidden. You could technically click on Pete and Nick at the river, but they dont have any conversation options when you do (they just tell you to keep looking around).
Hopefully the exploration of the cabin and learning more about the characters would happen in a house divided.
