uploading you own avatar

Telltale has a selection of avatars that you can choice from, but I've seen people upload icons that are not in that selection. How do you do so? I'm fairly new so I don't really know.

    There is an option in the Avatar Selection to use the Gravatar website to upload your own avatar.

    actually is there any way to use gif. format for your Gravatar? it seems you can crop an image but it takes away animation, is there anyway to fix that?

    I do not believe you can use animated avatars.

    oh I well that makes it simple I guess, thro I have seen people with moving icons. doesn't matter thanks
