Telltale Please!

edited February 2014 in The Walking Dead

Does anyone agree with me that telltale should release each episode weekly ( or a max of 2 weeks) instead of keeping us waiting till we forget most of the things from Ep1. Till now I have played 5 times as pshycopath Clem :)

P.s, I am new here

  • 1 or 2 weeks? No that's crazy. Around 6-8 weeks is good.

  • And why do U support that?

  • Whoever thinks they should release episodes every two weeks is insane, They would have to do the same with TWAU so they will basically be giving you an episode of one of them each week, They are not that stupid

  • Then we'll have 5 minute long episodes with everyone being voiced by Melissa Hutchinson. Seriously though... they need time to make these, they can't just magically spawn them out of their asses.

  • I like that they take time to imput fan feedback etc. Its the whole point of episodic. If people really cant stand the wait between to find out what happens why not play them when there all out?

  • So you want Telltale to give you rushed out episodes? Dude, I would rather wait for many months than a rushed out bad episode with glitches.

  • If they're having trouble with six weeks, I doubt that two would be an option. ;)

  • In my opinion, two weeks would be too few, 6 are too much and 4 would be just right. It would require TT to actually do work, though.

  • As the episodes are developed between episodes that would make it kind of tricky.

  • I thought they had made all the episodes

  • No... they make them 1 by 1, they release an episode, then they get started on the next one.

Well, I would certainly prefer weekly or biweekly releases. It's completely unrealistic and never going to happen because you can't make a game in that short of a timespan. But it would be nice.

That said, I do think it would be nice if Telltale had a couple of episodes ready to go ahead of time before releasing the first episode instead of doing them one at a time. That way, if they run into problems with a particular episode, they still have something ready to release, and we don't end up with a four month delay like The Wolf Among Us. I don't know if that's likely to happen either because releasing episodes as soon as they're ready keeps money flowing into Telltale. But again, it would be nice.

  • See? I'm not the only one that thinks this.

It's way too fast. Yeah it seems like a good idea at first but they would have to work to fast and it would be a horrible game. Also, you want to wait for when the time comes, it will be good.

  • No, the only time that has been the case was Jurassic Park.

  • As long as the episode is worth the wait I don't really care.

  • No, the only time that has been the case was Jurassic Park

Which, technically, was delayed by almost a year.

  • Yeah :) Not only will the content be of less quality of it will be uncharacteristic of Telltale, The reasons they wait so long to release episode is because they want all their games to have their moment of glory and not to be overshadowed by the other, If they released episodes like the OP wants them too probably around 30% of people would stop playing TWAU because they would be focused on TWD

  • Actually U made me change my mind. It would really be nice if it would really be worth the wait!
But TWAU Ep2 wasn't worth the wait. I still think a maximum of 5 weeks should be between two episodes.

I hear people saying that about ep 2 of TWAU, was it rushed or something? I don't play TWAU unfortunately.

  • I thought asking for weekly updates was a bit too needy. Asking for monthly updates seems reasonable. They can't even do that. If you thought this was bad. You should seen it during 4 months of no answer on anything, people raged forever it felt like. It was dead silent. If I was in charge of a major corporations. Keeping customers happy would be my job.

I'm not asking them to tell us every single thing that makes a delay. Yet when they release two games, side by side. Then release one ep every four months. It feels like they are just milking the product. Like they have the means to finish it but they don't care. They want their little AD's next to waling dead on AMC. I'm sure that made them real happy.

This lack of communication, cannot last forever. Even EA has a customer support phone number, and they were voted worst company in America. It's not only the wait, its you cannot get anyone on the phone. You have wait three business days if you have an email to send. They are graded an F by the BBB, for not responding to 52 suits filed against them.

    I mean enough is enough.

  • Who do you think they are? God?
