  • Yeah, I thought it was clear to be major, I'll add it to the post

I like it, but this is a major decision for the beginning of episode 2. Don't continue from here yet.

We shouldn't really be doing this yet, we should ask Cultist, seeing as it's his thread.

  • Yeah he's right, let's wait for him to see this.

  • Yeah, I guess we forgot about that.

  • IMO I think this would work for an epilogue. Sorry for snapping at you earlier.

It's ok, conflicts are inevitable when writing a good story

Hi Cultist, can you give us a green light and an opinion about the ending of the episode? W'ed really appreciate it.

You know what would be really cool? If someone would make a fan art of the characters, that would be awesome!

  • Sorry about that, I had school. Anyway, I'm perfectly fine with this. This sounds like an interesting way to begin.

Just a note: Y'all don't have to consult me for every little thing here! I want the story to go within the basic 'B' option, but you can do anything with the story WITHIN REASON and as long as it ends in Rome. After all, all roads lead to Rome!

  • For Ep. 1, how about something 'In the Aftermath' or 'Remnants of Better Times?'

Let's discuss names for episode 1, and episode 2. Here are my suggestions. Episode 1: I'm not sure for this one. Episode 2: The Days After

Go ahead. I don't think there's a reason to break.

Gloria stands completely still, staring at the note. "I will..." she mutters. Suddenly, Gloria hears a voice that sounds male and instinctively decides to hide behind a nearby tree. She realises too late that she left the baby behind.

"Damn. We need to find food somehow, Dave." The baby begins to cry, frightened by the approaching men, but also alerting them of its presence. Dave quickly notices the baby and replies with "Forget the food. That baby is gonna turn us into walker food. Shut it up, Mark." Mark looks confused, but then understands when he realises what Dave meant. "You want me to kill a baby?" Silence from Dave answers his question. "Fuck." Mark proceeds to pull out his pistol and check the safety was off. "Sorry, lit-" "NO!" Gloria screams, coming out from her hiding place.

    -Scene Swap-

"The hell is that?" Aaron said to himself, peering around a tree, horrified when he saw two grown men punching an older women in the face. "Shut the hell up, you dumb bitch. Maybe we should kill you, and leave the baby for the walkers." Aaron pulled out his sharp climbing axe that his father gave to him when this all started from the holster on his back. "What should I do...?" he asked himself, horrified.

    CHOICE #1:

A - (Take them from behind. Maybe you can take on the men if the woman helps. Maybe she'll help you get to Rome.)

B - (Sneak away. Continue moving to Rome, where your Grandmother and Grandfather live.)

C - (Distract the men, maybe you can both get away. This probably wont save the baby.)

D - (Try to reason with the men, maybe you can come to some kind of agreement. They don't look friendly.)

  • Nice.. good writing!

Thanks man. I didn't make this completely clear in the post, but Aaron is around 14, which is why he's not completely confident in attacking the men, and why he's heading to his grandparents in Rome.

  • Just incase I didn't make it clear, the climbing axe is similar to Molly's, and Aaron is able to use it to... climb.

    Aaron and Eric lol.

Aaron decides to take them on from behind.

He slowly tiptoes over to their area. He is going slow, and steady, until he steps on a leaf, and the crackling sound alarmed the two men. "Huh?" The big one says as he turns around. Aaron is suddenly shocked, and whips his throwing ax straight at the men beating Gloria. It goes straight through the back of his skull. The man falls on to his knees, looks up at the woman and falls.

"NO!! Don't touch that baby! What is wrong with you?! There is an alive baby out in this world, and you want to shoot it?!" The two men suddenly gaze over at Gloria. The bigger man looks at his partner, then back at Gloria, and begins to grin. "Kill. That. Bitch." He says, as the smaller man lunges at her, beating her.

Gloria tries to fight back, but can't. She still is not as big as the smaller man. As she finally pushes him away from her, she watches a climbing ax go through the back of his skull. Blood comes rushing through the front of his face as he falls to his knees. Gloria gasps, and watches the man fall down.

All at once, Gloria grabs the ax, Dave is in the process of grabbing his gun out of his backpack, and slowly backs away.

Aaron slowly fades away from the scene, and hides behind a tree. "I need my ax back!"

Gloria has to take her time to pick the ax up, with her one arm. She begins to speak. "Don't even try to grab your gun. I'll kill you if you move one more finger." The man slowly stops searching. "Get your hands out of your bag" Gloria says. He slowly pulls his hands out of his bag, when he has a revolver in his hands. "Shit!" He nail's her leg. "AHHH" The man begins to laugh. "Now i'm going to make you, watch me kill this baby!"

Dave begins to untie the baby from the tree. "Now watch this you little bitc-" His voice is interrupted by the sound of a gunshot, and him falling lifeless to the ground. "You're welcome."

"You're welcome." Aaron says as he helps Gloria up. "Now I'm going to need that back." He says motioning to the climbing ax. Gloria hands it to him. "Listen, take that guy's bag, he's probably got some stuff to fix that leg up. I have to go. I can't stay here much longer." Aaron begins to walk away. "Wait." Gloria says. "Thank you." Aaron turns around and nods. "Gotta help your fellow survivors, am I right?" He begins to walk away again. "I'm heading to Rome Georgia. If you ever need anyplace to stay, Rome is the place to go trust me, I've heard lot's of good stuff about it."

Gloria grabs the baby, after fixing her leg up, and heads back to the motor inn. The man then walks away never to be seen again.

    Choice #2

    1. A: Tell everyone at the motor inn about Rome.
    2. B. Wait until a better time to tell them about Rome.
  • Nice. I like Aaron's character. Hopefully we'll run into him again on the road to Georgia.

Gloria decides to tell everyone about Rome. She heads home after fixing up her leg.

"Mom! He- who's the baby?" Alexander says, welcoming Gloria. "I... found him. A suicidal woman left a note asking someone to take care of her baby. I couldn't say no." "Hey little guy. What happened to your leg, Gloria?" Melody asked, Gloria replies, thinking back to the horrific scene "I was looking for food, and I found the baby. All the sudden, these big guys came out of the forest and almost SHOT the baby. I ran out and they started... beating me. They were gonna kill me. Then this boy... I think his name was Aaron. That's what the tag on his bag said... He saved me with something that looked kinda like an ice pick. I got shot in the leg, but I wouldn't be alive without him. Some people are still decent in this world I guess. He mentioned that he was heading to Rome, Georgia. Apparently it's safer there. I think... we should move in that direction; this place wont last forever will it? "I dunno." "Let's talk about it later..." Gloria sighed at their responses.

    • Scene Swap ~ 3 hours later -

"So it's definitely a boy?" Gloria looked at Alexander like he was an idiot. "What do you think?"
"What should we name him?" Melody chimed in.
"What about Mike? Or Danny?" replied Alexander.

    CHOICE #3:
    "His name is gonna be..."

    A. Mike (after your dead friend)

B Danny (after your dead friend)

C Aaron (after the boy who saved your life)

  • Sorry about the large amount of dialogue in this one. I thought it would fit, with the new baby.

  • Damn we need some more writers.

I'm just being impatient. I really enjoy writing this with you guys.

    Wasn't gonna. You go ahead.

  • "His name will be Aaron, after that boy who saved my life," Gloria said "He kinda looks like an Aaron, too," Alexander added. "What's this? OH SHIT!" Gloria turns to see Melody and Matt staring at her, at baby Aaron. "What the hell?" Matt muttered. "A baby?" "Yeah, his name's Aaron, guys, Alexander said. "We'll be taking care of him."

    Later...

"Gloria, some kid comes up and tells you there's some safety in Rome?" Melody asked skeptically. "To be honest," Matt said, "that sounds like bullshit." Alexander replied, "Well, we can't be sitting here all day when we could be safe in Rome!" "What if it's all a lie?" Melody asked. "I don't want to take my chances there!" "We need to at least check it out!" Alexander said. Gloria sighed. "Let's get some sleep on it. We'll talk more about it tomorrow." "Sounds fair," Matt said. He and Melody looked at each other for a second, smiling like virgins on prom night. Alexander pretended not to see them as he got up and walked to his room, M-16 in hand. Gloria was fortunate to have come across some formula for the baby in an abandoned minivan off the highway, so she began making some milk as the baby began moaning for food. Melody and Matt, holding hands, walked into a room, and Gloria smiled, remembering Alexander's father and Mike, and how she loved them dearly. She nearly cried.

I'm happy to write, but does anyone wanna go before me? I've gone straight after people twice now.

  • Not a big deal but...

You said: "I never caught his name but he saved my life."

And then one of the options was: Name it after the man who saved your life.

Not a big deal, but I would maybe consider editing the part in which you say he didn't have a name,

Sorry about the large amount of dialogue in this one. I thought it would fit, with the new baby.

  • Alexander comes out of his room. "What're they having a make out session in there?" Alexander asks his mother. Gloria laughs. "Do you believe me?" Alex looks up at his mother, and baby Aaron. "Of course I believe you, Rome sounds like a good place and all... But I think we've finally found a home here mom. We've been on the road for nearly 100 days!" Gloria just looks down at Alex, basically disproving what he has just said. She sighs and walks away, "Good night Alex."
