If we're going to be realistic about it, though, if Telltale does ever end up getting to a point where they can get all of their episodes out … morewithin 4-6 weeks, it probably won't be for quite a long time. They're a fairly small company that's gone through a rapid growth spurt recently with the success of The Walking Dead. There's going to be a lot of growing pains to deal with for the next few years, most likely.
In the mean time, releasing games "on time" might just mean setting more realistic goals for themselves, like 6-8 weeks, so that fans don't get their hopes up when 4-6 weeks come and go with barely a mention of the episode. As long Telltale can just be upfront and honest about exactly what they can and cannot accomplish as a company, the fans should respond to that sympathetically and give them the time they need to do what they need to do.
Upfront and honest are words that are not in telltales vocabulary. All this 4-6 weeks nonsense for starters. Then we have the soon, very soon and now the super soon. It's all bull.
I'm even starting to wonder if we will ever get episode two, or subsequent episodes. Beginning to think that they have bitten off more than they can chew this time.

You clearly have not been here long, this is about as long as we waited during season 1. Two months per episode except for the last two which came out within a month.
Telltale will not elaborate on the TWAU delays but when I played it I found it quite obvious that they had a lot of trouble getting it done. A lot of stuff seemed obviously rewritten and only a few things in the preview actually ended up happening. The two examples can not be compared because, unlike TWAU, the Walking Dead episode is close to release, sounds to me like they're classifying it and putting some finishing touches until they get confirmation from Valve, Microsoft, and Sony on potential release dates.
We're still in the expected timeframe for this episode, everybody on this forum predicted mid-late February and it looks like we're gonna get it. If you consider This a delay, then I don't know how you guys waited for games like Half Life 2 to come out, a game that took almost eight years but is regarded as the best FPS game of all time.
I also have no idea why you dismiss quality of quantity. Isn't that saying very important when it comes to, well, everything? When you write an essay, it matters not how many words you shove in there, but rather how concise and well written it is. Take action movies, what are the best kinds of action movies? Movies that have well-coregraphed fight scenes and tension, NOT movies with action all over the place.
Let's bring the argument a little closer to home with video games. What games series do you know that is pumped out yearly and while there is a lot of them, doesn't necessarily mean they're good? If you answered Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed then you're right on the money. The evidence for why "Quality over Quantity" is said so much on this forum is all around you if you pay attention. Everybody, even the complainers, which much rather have an episode take a few weeks more than usual and be fucking awesome then an episode that came out on time but was buggy and rushed out the door. Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Batman Arkham Origins are prime examples of the latter.
Do you even know why TWAU was delayed? I mean specifically. Now it seems that TWD is going to be delayed and people are still Pro Telltale and… more settle for a screenshot after over two months of waiting. Sorry, but I just need more than that. I need a release date or a trailer. Hell, I'll even settle for some unambiguous updates.
everyone just needs to knock off the whiney BS. it will be out when it is out. if it is that big of an issue then dont buy it. i personally do… morent care when it comes because TTG has already proven themselves worty of my money. delays happen and so do mistakes. it only makes them human. if u dont have similar issues in your life then, hello jesus...
Technically, TWD has been delayed since they said 6-8 weeks and it's been 9 weeks so far. If they release it on the 25th, it will have been 10 weeks AT BEST. No Walking Dead episode in Season 1 ever took that long and yes I was here when Season 1 was released, but I just never made an account and just lurked around the commu... I mean forums.
Although, if it is released on the 25th then it won't be as bad, but the thing is, I don't know when it's going to be released because of their flawless PR. Comparing it to Half Life 2? Really? That's the same as me saying "AMC The Walking Dead releases an episode every week, why can't Telltale?" That kind of logic is what lets Telltale get away with some of the stuff that they do. I'm so tired of people trying to be Telltale's white knight. Please explain why Telltale can't make their games at the same level that they do and have it on time? Why do I have to choose the lesser of two evils?

If the episode takes too long to come out I actually won't buy the games anymore... I'm not payinh for something taht was supposed to come out weeks ago nad because of the delay I got totally disconnected from the game and the story...
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Games get delayed it happens, the episode is out now. It's time for everyone to calm the fuck down. Episode 2 of TWAU was pretty damn good, was it worth a 4 month wait, no it wasn't. But god dammit delays happen and you have to except that.I will defend Telltale for as long as they deserve it, and so far they've made good enough products to deserve forgiveness in areas they full short in such us keeping to a schedule. Now should they stop making quality titles, and continue not have these other wishes, then I'll agree with you. Lastly for the record, yea I'll be way happier with a delayed good game then a rushed out piece of shit.
He's right about one thing though. The longer we wait the more disconnected we get from the story and replaying the episode just isn't the same. As time goes on our excitement is slowly replaced with indifference and our enthusiasm decreases with every passing moment of these long intervals between episodes.
Becuase life. I hate to bring a philosophical argument in here but seriously... every day you get up and choose the lesser of two evils countless times. Everything isn't perfect, it's just a fact. Just be happy with the best of a bad situation, and this isn't even a bad situation!

I won't try to argue that, though I feel you are exxagerating it slightly I can definitely see the point. What I was refering to the first part of his post.

what real difference would it make for ttg to let u know about a small delay? u gonna be any less annoyed its later then u wanted? is it gonna make the wait shorter or make any real tangable difference at all? the reality is no. people want instant gratification when things dont go thier way. its life. but there are (at least for those who dont troll forums hateing on the very people who already give them awesome games) many other things to pass the small 8wk gap. like ...get a job ... a girlfriend...u know real life shit
its just sad. ttg dedicates 100's of hours to thier games and all u do is cry how long it takes. you ever made a game? written a zillion lines of code in hopes its friggan awesome and have trolls talk shit because they feel your takeing too long when they have no damn clue about how hard that shit is? didnt think so. you say if i cant handle it i should leave...if you cant handle a delay then maybe you should make your own game and see how it stacks up before u run your mouth

I think it was delayed because of the Winter Olympics. That's why there weren't any Agents of SHIELD, Person of Interest, Supernatural, or Arrow episodes for the past few weeks.
If the episodes came out as infrequently as new installments to the GTA series I might get upset, but as it is I have no complaints. I can just check the player stats section and then watch the last time video and know exactly where I was. As for episode 2, I enjoyed it. They have to keep the game canon with the comics, so I expect there to be some delays whilst they iron out the plot. If every episode takes as long to come out, however, and it takes into 2015 to complete the 5 episodes then I will be more inclined to be on your side.
So after a 4 month delay all you can say is "it was good?" You just proved my point. I don't want "good," I want amazing, astonishing, astounding, breathtaking, etc. It was not worth the wait in my opinion.
Thinking of the game in terms of its wait is unfair to the game. I saw nothing wrong with it and enjoyed it just as much as the first one. It didn't seem lackluster to me, slightly less actiony but that wasn't unexpected as it's getting more into deciphering clues and less about getting Bigby into fights.

Exactly, as for me, I wouldn't b so pissed off if they said from the beggining 8 weeks, and kept us informed about what's happening...

Totally agree. It was a let down.
You need to knock off telling us what to do
Thats right. Keeping customers informed is vitally important.

If only "evil" Luke can give them a piece of his mind. I'm sure you'd like him much more
Quality Over Quantity
Define your own version of quantity? And quality is pretty much the same deal, everyone is opinion is going to be different.
Oh please...

Another Person of Interest fan! That makes me happy.

I never said if you cant handle it, you should leave, so don't put words in my mouth, idiot.
I have a right to complain. If you don't like it, tough shit. You can have your opinion, let me have mine. Now, lets just leave it at that.
