Clem's character
I'm glad that Clem is able to be a bit more aggressive in this season. I want her to be able to stand up for herself and not let anyone walk over her (as I think she should do with Rebecca, that god damn bitch!). She's changed so much from the Clem we knew in season 1. She's realized now that she has to grow up and that she will have to defend for herself at times.
I know that as the season goes on, her character will change so much that season 1 will almost be a distant memory. But sometimes I miss the old Clem. She was so innocent, ya know? Most of that has been lost because of all that's happened, which is sad, but I guess that's just the way it is in the zombie apocalypse.
I'm glad Lee helped to shape her character. I wonder how different she would have been had she not met him?

I think episode 4 was to show what would happen to clem without Lee
If she didn't meet Lee she would have died in her treehouse, Chuck's advide to Lee helped her also as Lee would never have taught her how to shoot and protect herself so she would proberbly never have made out of Savannah alive.
Its sad we will never see the old Clem but i am really looking forward to see where they will take the new Clementine and how we can develop her personality whether we choose to be nice and help others or if we choose to manipulate and only lookout for ourselves.
I glad it was Lee who found her and not someone who could've maybe gotten her killed, or she ended up like the boy in the attic.
I'm glad the way she's turned out, I get nostalgic playing back season one, but without Lee, Chuck and Christa she wouldn't have made it.
After episode one, I still worry about her but I'm a lot more confident she can make it on her own if she has to.
I'm also glad to see she doesn't take any shit, and when left to live or die on her own wits, she can get shit done.
I had a grim smile on my face the whole time she was fighting Winston, apart from a couple of occasions, she had that fight going where she wanted it, she made good use of her surroundings, her small size and her speed to outthink and outmove a hardened bandit, right up to the point where she used a walker to get rid of the threat.
Philip Blake would be proud of how Clem handled that, let alone Lee.
Well this thread doesn't seem very popular. Oh well.
You are right about using her surroundings and all that. Instead of just freezing up like she used to do, she uses things to her advantage and has lost some of her fear that she had. I'm really proud of how far Clem has come.
Well I liked your thread kiwi
i'm more curious about how ben influenced clem's view of other people. "i'm not leaving you with ben, i'm leaving him with you." and then brie died. way to go, clem.
Thanks man
lol she made Dougs mistake of trying to block an opening with her back
Yeah. But of course that only happens if you decide to take Clem with you to Crawford, which I didn't because I knew it would be too unsafe for her there, and if she hadn't of been left at the mansion, I think Omid might not have made it.
Anytime dude. The amount of trolls I've butted heads with today it's nice to spread some love.
Well, I'm glad that Clementine is now a strong survivor but I'm a bit afraid that by the end of this season, she will become like Carl or something much worse.
Yeah I know how ya feel. We are always dealing with them monsters in here.
i was quite proud of clem after taking her into crawford. her first real kill. it was a more high-five worthy moment than duck's...
I'm just worried she will change too much. I hope they don't turn her into some tomboyish-one-man-army killing machine.
One thing I try to do is not only put Lee's influence into Clem but also sprinkle some Christa in there as well. While Lee is the predominant influence on my Clem, she has spent more time with Christa then Lee. I feel Clem would have picked up a lot from her; not looking to join a group, always moving, and general standoffish nature.
Nah, can't see that happening. I believe Clem is more moral than that, despite all that's happened. Yes, she has been somewhat hardened, and will get more so throughout the season, but I can't see her becoming too much worse that we don't recognize her any more.
Omid's sense of humor would have suited her better.
If it wasn't for Clem's "we don't leave friends behind" speech i would proberbly have dropped Ben from the bell tower, so in my playthrough she saved his life, but maybe she should have stopped him wondering off to get the hatchet when we left him in her care
True but he only lasted a few months Christa and Clem were together for almost 2 years.
Well, from all I've seen so far, its a possibility. But I think most if not all of us here wont want that lol
You mean like Ellie? lol just kidding I love Ellie.
I think Clem's always gonna have that sweetness, she might just have to learn to keep it well hiden.
To be honest I can see her going more like that dude from the book of Eli.
Quiet. Efficient. Takes no shit.
But still has a heart.
Actually I could see her being like Ellie, but cuter.
Yeah I think Christa has rubbed off a lot on her. And after what happened with Omid, and perhaps also the events in the time gap, not just her but also Christa changed. Their relationship is quite different now.
Yeah, I seriously don't want that at all. Many female protagonists already have that type of character to some extent. I don't want Clemmy to be added to that list.
^ This
Nah, Ellie wasn't that bad, lol.
Yeah and less of a potty-mouth. Clem hates that :P
oh ya, and she wasn't even around for his funny bust moments, either... such a shame.
I know right? Ellie swears more than Joel.
Not quite as much as Bill...
I loved the hilarious bickering Bill and Ellie had. "Haha, fuck you too -_-"
Indeed. I wouldn't want to describe Christa as cold, because she isn't, but I can't think off another word either. I can only imagine she got even colder after Omid died.
We really need a flashback to help establish what their relationship was like after Omid died. Maybe it was real rocky at first and then after she lost the baby it got better or actually that was what soured the relationship.
I kinda think it would be funny if Clem does swear more. Personally, I wouldn't mind if she does.
her countering swears is what we need to see.... pete's cursing as he cuts his leg off and she chimes in with "swear"...
I'd love to see Clem laugh more. I think the only time we have seen that is when Lee tells her a funny story in the RV (if you decide to, that is.)
I know its the ZA and its depressing, but, I'm hoping for more light-hearted moments.
Yeah I'm the dude who told her Hershels Barn smelled like shit without even thinking about what I was saying. I laughed my ass off when Clem goes "Like shit, right Lee?" at the St. John's and Kat's frowning at you. lmfao
I look forward to those times she says "swear" it's like her "Yippy Kai Ay Motherfucker!"
She swore a few times in my play through, but I always swore in front of her. I liked when she would tell me off for it.
She really did miss out.
That would be a bit hypocritical of her to do that. Maybe when she's older, I wouldn't mind either.
I think as she grows up, more swearing will most likely come into her vocabulary.
I love when she said "shit" when the water bottle rolled into the stall. My first thought was "yup I'm a bad influence".
She's got a great sense of humor as well, bugs under your pillow man, that's a classic.
