Is The Walking Dead (Season 2) still Censored if bought directly from the Telltale Store?
See Title. I am concerned for my fellow Australians and Germans, who may have to suffer through an inferior version of the story in order to reassure the illogical insecurities of our feeble minded censorship-happy classification agencies.
My concern has lead me to try to find out Legal ways for us to avoid having our lives negatively impacted by the poor decision making of these branches of our government, hence the title question:
'Is The Walking Dead still Censored if bought directly from the Telltale Store?'
I am hoping someone on this forum or a member of Telltale staff may be able to shed some light on this problem of ours.

Careful man, overt talk like that can get you banned on these forums, even if like me you have bought multiple copies for different people and different devices. I would assume the mods are trying to avoid any kind of legal trouble if for example: it somehow it escalated into openly sharing torrent links on the Telltale forums or something else idiotic and conductive of legal trouble. Slippery slope kind of argument (though I do usually disagree with those kinds of arguments).
Also there's the obvious problem of save file transfer issues.
You could wait for the hard finished copy to come out when the season is over and get a copy that's from another country.
Damn... That sucks man. I hope countries like yours find a way to mature and stop blaming inanimate objects for violence.
If not, you can always move to a better place? Which is easier said than done
what do you mean censored ? examples?
The Walking Dead is censored in other countries? Huh, never knew that. Anyway, I don't actually know if buying it from the website would solve your problem, but I'd suggest you'd find out for sure what the best course of action is before spending your money.
I don't even know of a censored version of the game, but I'm rather certain the Telltale Store version is not censored.
As a German Player i can confirm that the Game was never censored here yet. But yeah in Countries like ours one shouldn't take this as granted. Censorship would make the Series irrelevant to play. You have to cut out most of the Story and gameplay mechanics. The Watchdogs of the Testing Centers are clever enough to realise that for once as it seems.
As for Australia. Didn't the Adult Rating just passed this Year? Are there still problems?
Season 2 episode 2 will be censored in some way, steam and retail stores are affected by this, but often the more niche stores like Telltale's get overlooked, hence the chance that the Telltale store version will be uncensored.

I edited the title to more accurately reflect my meaning. Sorry about that, I meant that episode 2 of season 2 is censored in Australia.
Our censorship officials will censor any use of drugs, even medical, in video games. So what happened I'm assuming is that Carlos was like "Since I'm a doctor I'll use these drugs to help another person." And the watchdogs were like 'GOOOOOOODS NOO THINK OF THE CHILDREN! THEY'LL ALL END UP METH JUNKIES AFTER THEY PLAY THIS R18+ GAME MEANT FOR ADULTS!'
What would be even worse would be if Carlos (being a shitty/fake doctor, overdosed someone, and the game is showing the real and lethal effects of an overdose of normally beneficial medicine. Because clearly people knowing about the dangers and horrors of an overdose would be more likely to go and overdose themselves and die horribly for some strange reason. Censorship board logic is like Carlos's logic towards protecting his daughter. 'Maybe if we just hide everything from them they'll never experience it and thus never have to avoid/cope with the consequences?' When in actual fact all that happens is that the person being sheltered is completely unprepared for that aspect of life and ends up being victimized by the negligence of the person doing the sheltering.
They are really inconsistent about it too.
Well looks like I'll be increasing my monetary support for telltale by about 25 dollars if this turns out to be right. I should have known to buy it directly from Telltale rather than steam, steam just goes right ahead with the censorship and doesn't give refunds if a pre-purchased product gets censored.
That's bullshit. I've been playing violent video games since Pac Man came out in the arcades (it's violent, he eats people, well ghosts :O) and I've never smoked anything but weed.
Puzzlebox just clarified in another censorship thread that the AusClass board just labelled the game oddly, there aren't any actual changes or censorship issues, the only reason there was a MODIFIED tag on the product ID was because of the changing nature of the season's classification based off each episode.
TL:DR NO CENSORSHIP FOR AUSTRALIANS (and none for Germans probably either) WOOO! It was just a oddly placed MODIFIED label that set off the alarm bells.
