Everything was changed for the worse in this new PD knockoff. I miss hearing about the development process, and the stats, and AJ, and there u… moresually being at least 2 people from TellTale in the video, and the video looking unique and not like just another episode of IGN's Up At Noon...
That's not what I'm saying. Just worried Telltale is turning Clementine into another superhero-like immortal Carl which Kirkman is doing. Heck, not even Carl would stitch his own arm. Even with his personality clearly set to be a "badass".

I have to agree. For some reason I can't care as much as I did for Clem in S1 due to this. Her actions is far from how she used to be and that's a fact I don't like. You don't have to like it, but it's how I feel.

I take a few words back what I said before. I'll be damned too if they do this to us without our choices. I played my Clementine as she would react to the situations in Season One. Even if that required the usage of silence. [Sad Eyes]
Ah, ah, ah. The "immortal" Carl you're talking about is the one in the comic.
But yeah, I'll be damned if Telltale forces this hard-ass personality on Clem without our choices.
Shes going to have a small amount of immorality or super hero type powers due to the fact that she is the protagonist and if it was too realistic some situations wont work or could be boring for us get get help from the adults all the time, if they went too unrealistic like Clem taking out a bunch of walkers or bad guys with a machine gun like Carl has in the show or comic then it would be stupid and unrealistic for her character.
The line "Let's Take'em" is probably a dialogue choice so we can choose it if we want to do a "badass" Clem.

I know you kid, but employees sometimes DO end up in Telltale games!
The first one I know of was a marketing guy (before my time here, doesn't work for TTG any more) whose likeness was used for Papierwaite, a character in Sam & Max Season 3. His Halloween costume for that year was an easy choice:
And I think most of you guys would know that Doug in The Walking Dead Season One was based on a real-life Doug who used to work for Telltale. Not just his appearance, but the whole nerdy character!
Yeah, you're right. As a protagonist Clementine have to stand strong, like Lee did at several occasions. And Telltale did indeed show us that she only is a child in All That Remains. (The forest scene in particular). I just hope they continue doing it, and remind us of this.
Yeah, I'd rather go with a cautious reply as Clementine in that situation rather than just going in head-on with guns blazing.

And then after launch we spend two weeks playing the episode, making sure we're satisfied with our choices. And then the long waiting begins for In Harm's Way. Hopefully we'll get the remaining episodes faster, and within their time frame, judging by how they released for Season One after Starved For Help.

day 76..... still waiting......moral is low....wait!......JESUS CHRIST !?! DID THE TRAILER JUST CAME OUT !??!? FUCKING HELL, ITS FINALLY ARRIVED !!!!! WE GONNA MAKE IT GUYS!! THE TRAILER IS OUUUT !!! OH GOD THHANKS !!
I'm just hoping right now that this is a much better Episode than All That Remains. I liked the premiere, it did enough things right, but not enough for TWD. Let's see how the rest of the season turns out.

70 days later Oh, well, maybe for Ep4...

After surviving with no supplies for 76 days, telltale games have finally airdropped a trailer to fulfill our hunger before episode 2 comes to rescue us

Length, another one of my gripes. People keep saying "quality over quantity", and in many cases, I'd probably agree. However, they showed us last Season they could manage both.
Really looking forward to this episode (as well as the following ones). After all, the first season was one of my best game experiences ever.
Edit: Yeah, I removed the GIF. Sometimes, you just gotta stop clowning around.
I'm a huge fan of Michael Madsen's gravel-laden voice, so it's a real thrill to know I'll be able to interact with a bona fide Madsen performance. (Is it a little twisted for me to admit that I already trust Carver a whole lot more than the new group?)
I can't say Clem's "let's take 'em" line left me feeling confident. I hope I have a different dialogue option when that scene occurs, because otherwise it makes Clem sound like a Molly clone, the one character I absolutely despised from season 1. If Clem has to be a badass because circumstances demand it, then she'll be a badass, but she doesn't need to sound like she's TRYING to be a badass.

No. Not at all. But what Telltale did with Smoke & Mirrors is unacceptable, sliding most of the content that were supposed to be in the second episode to episode three. I'm just glad puzzlebox confirmed it will be in this episode.

I feel like the 'I thought you were dead' person is gonna show at the end of the episode, they're gonna show his/her face and then end it there. I hope I'm wrong, but I think they'll focus more on that next episode, while just showing the character on this one.
Let's not get too optimistic here; puzzlebox said "game", not "episode". That means if the mystery person's identity is withheld in episode 2, Telltale can easily claim they made no such promise to reveal it.

Well, I thought the new Playing Dead show was great, and Scott is a nice guy. I'm actually quite impressed with the trailer. Sure it doesn't shed any light on who the "I thought you were dead" person is, but, at least now we know that it will be revealed in the episode itself. I am so excited! Can't wait to play it, especially after all this wait. Let's hope the episode comes out next week.
That line was my choice to use in the trailer. I took Chuck's advice on the train to heart and tend to play Clem with an edge, but this particular scene in the game will be one which you can approach in a few ways other than a badass. So don't worry.
But that's the question of the season isn't it. Are you trying to protect her from the world or have her hit the world back?

Ah well. Guess it's back to playing Captain Jack for AJ.
Yeah, this. By the way, haven't seen you for awhile, Fredden.

More or less.

The "COMING SOON" thingy in the end is bothering me... I really hope that the game releases on 4th of March which is Tuesday.

It probably will.
Hopey, hopey!

Hush now, remember that we're still waiting for episode 2

Yep. It already seems really good and to me, it looks quite long, length wise.

Why the Hell did IGN took over playing dead
Looks like they won't do what they did to Smoke & Mirrors.
The I Thought You Were Dead scene will show up in this episode after all.
well done
i know the feeling bro
cos it sounded like a good idea ?

I guess I'm twisted too then. I'd much rather have a Mr. Blonde in my group than this bunch of Oranges and Whites.
Would you really want the "I thought you were dead" question revealed in a trailer and spoil it in the game?? SMH!
No. Not at all. But what Telltale did with Smoke & Mirrors is unacceptable, sliding most of the content that were supposed to be in the second episode to episode three. I'm just glad puzzlebox confirmed it will be in this episode.
I can now breathe a sigh of relief. I'm glad it will be in this episode; I wouldn't be able to handle the mystery otherwise!
Steve Brule!
my comment was directed at buchy, not you.just that it's on your thread.
Ah. No harm done then.

I agree. It's simply not in Clem's nature to deliberately be a badass.

The entire TWD section is filled with episode 2 trailer analysis/questions/theories/etc as the thread title. So I came here.
But anyway, I'm so fuckin happy to see the trailer and TPD episode. Now what's left is the damn release date and last but not least the release itself
Not a fan of the 'season 2 playing dead' being Mr. Greg Miller sigh
But, overall decent trailer. And the infamous COMING SOON
I need that music.......aaaaaaaaah, is it anadel again?
