Rhys's Conflicting Future? (Episode 5 Spoilers)

So Rhys revived Atlas as its new corporate executive but he's now also the semi-deity figure of the Children of Hyperion, who were 'freed from their corporate shackles' through Rhy's destruction of Helios - these two roles do seem to contradict each other - one where he embraces the self-made corporate lifestyle and the other where he's the theological center of former Hyperion employees turning anti-corporate borderline hippies - can he somehow unite both sides?

Haha, this an unexpected discussion thread.

I think those Hyperion guys are all trying to find a new figure to idolise, with Rhys being the top candidate. Yet, I think his discussion with Jack in the remains of Helios will have provided him ample warning against becoming comfortable in this position of power. I'm sure he will drop these guys later on, and their desire for a new idol will lead to them revering Vaughn as the "one true guide" in all of this mess - and damn does he deserve it for being an absolute bro
