I think Star Trek 25th Anniversary was a pretty good adventure game, but never finished it. Blade Runner seems to be good too.
25th Anniversary is good, as well as Judgment Rites (the sequel). I have both. Luckily, I have the CD editions of both, so they have full voices (by the original cast), and 25th has an extended endgame sequence (in the original floppy version, the final mission was dissapointingly short).
Has anyone here played The Lost Crown? I thought that one was pretty good.
No one in this whole thread mentioned Strong Bad or Wallace and Gromit??
I am trying to play TLJ right now, I stopped one I got to the world of magic, the story is moving so slow I am losing interest!!
Also, you should play Fahrenheit/The Indigo Prophecy it is available on most game download sites (including Stardock and as an Xbox Original on XBL, I believe)
Fahrenheit ("Indigo Prophecy" in the US), was also very nice, except for the timed action sequences.
For some reason I really didn't like Wallace and Gromit or Strong Bad, it just didn't feel right. Sadly, I had the same with The Longest Journey, I just didn't care about the main character, although so many people praise it.
Simon the Sorceror had the same problem as the Discworld series in my eyes; the story didn't progress enough and the puzzles didn't make any sense most of the time. I did like the humor though.
(And I'm from Belgium Toothless Gibbon ).
I also replayed The Black Mirror a few weeks ago and really liked it a lot, although it gets very bad reviews. The sequel is on the way as well.
Same goes for Syberia 1 and 2.
I also played "Mystery of the Druids" but that was just terrible.
If you enjoyed Lucas Arts Adventures you will enjoy those. My favourite Adventures beside Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle. (and I played almost every Adventure out there).
try the game a tale of two kingdoms. its a free game becasue adventure game fans made it its really good and has the 2D stye heres the link http://www.crystalshard.net/atotk.php also its quite hard in my opinion
I've been trying to find it for a month now, legalwise and......through "other" methods.
But sadly all I could find was in fact the english audio version, BUT with swedish subtitles and objects had swedish names as well.
Anybody has any idea how I can change that?

Having seen how rare the game is I'm going to put mine on eBay - want to make me an offer before I do so?
Just replayed the first Gabriel Knight game and it really was excellent. Not played it since it first came out... Just replaying all the old ones <waves of nostalgia threaten to sweep me away>.
The broken sword games are pretty good too.
Just going through the old sierra games at the moment (not my favorite) but Freddy Pharkas is next (or innocent until caught)
Played Jack Keane though, it was alright, mildly amusing, reasonable puzzles. Overall a bit easy though.
While I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for episode 2 I've been replaying Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis and also Day of the Tentacle.
Classics, but in my eyes still not so good as Monkey Island.
I'm gonna replay curse today untill episode 2 is finally here
The aforementioned Phoneix Wright games (in fact, the whole Ace Attorney series in general), most of Telltale's back catalogue, and perhaps Ben There, Dan That!, and everything else mentioned on the thread.
Oh, and if you're intersted, Revolution recently re-released Broken Sword 1 on the Wii and DS.

Despite it borrowing graphics heavily from other games, I found the story quite fun.
Actually, you can get lots of good adventure games from AGS.
Anybody know any more of those type of games?
(stil havent been able to find an english version of Gilbert Goodmate btw)

I've got one you can have, where are you from?
You guys have to try W&G if you haven't already, the series is magnificent IMO.
I second and third that.

Judging by what I've read on the forums, the consensus seems to be that the first episode was pretty much the worst in the season.
Legend of Kyrandia (all 3)

Best episdode poll...

38% Muzzled!
18% The Bogey Man
If you want challenge..:
KGB
Shadow of the comet

The Broken Sword games have been referred to as "GK-lite" before. Whether or not this is fair, the games are fairly similar in plot style.
Are you the french or the dutch flavor of Belgian? or from Bruxelles
