As far as I know, no one from Telltale made any comments about season three at all. They're keeping pretty quiet about it until Michonne has ended.
It's possible they'll catch up to the comics with a two year time skip (The Walking Dead: Michonne might be their way of doing that), but nothing has been confirmed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made Clementine like the leader of some group. Though, the story would be about some other character entirely.
The problem with that is people will still be all about Clementine.
carl right now in the comics is 13. seeing that Clem is 1 year older, it's possible she can reach 14 in season 3
