Once she moved in, after about a year and a half of pretty much living together anyway, she dug out these star trek toys in boxes. I nearly cried
Star Wars is so much better
*Runs for life, to get away from arguments to follow*
lol I'm really a big fun of both Star Wars and Star Trek. And I must say... the new Star Trek movie is much better than the Star Wars prequels. And now I'm starting to even hate Star Wars a bit because Lucasarts released so many crappy SW games. Thankfully they seem to be coming back to the Light of the Force side again!
I finally understand why European games are higher priced and slower in release date. It's because of all these language demands from the game company to subtitle them into the different languages.
Ahh yeah of course. And the UK speaks some less energetic English, yeah? It's just some kind of marketing stuff, they put the 5 common translations for Europe into one game which makes it easier to ship and sell.
I want a huttese dubbing for all MI games.
I don't remember if anyone says the line, but i'll pay anything to hear someone saying "Oota-goota Threepwood?"
It´s out now, Monkey Island 5, and now I read in some forums that the new MI is only available in english? WTF? I am from Austria and my english is not sooo bad ^^ but I whould play it in german language!!!:mad:
Did you know more than me??
CU
Get your head out of your a** and learn English like the rest of us! You have a tough life ahead of you if you expect everyone to translate every game, movie, paper, book etc. for you! It's a global world we live in and one of the common denominators are ENGLISH.
(FYI, my mother tongue ain't English )
Let's make a deal German speaking adventure gamers -
You'll do whatever you can in order to get "The Book of unwritten tales" and "Simon the sorcerer 5" translated to english, and we'll do whatever we can in order to get "Tales of Monkey Island" translated to German, deal?
I don't speak Chinese, Russian nor Indian, because I personally don't gain anything from it yet. But I wont whine about it when I will
I never said that I speak any of these languages. Plus I only "learned" French, Japanese and the dead language Latin and I can't express myself in any of these languages.^^
I can even explain why this makes sense using 6 degrees of separation style logic!
You see... Esperanto is the language in which the 1965 movie Incubus was filmed. Incubus starred William Shatner. William Shatner also starred as Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek. Start Trek fans fight with Star Wars fans about which is better even though they're so completely different from each other they might as well be comparing Muenster to Chocolate Milk. Chocolate milk is something I like. I also like Star Wars. Star Wars is George Lucas's most famous creation. George Lucas has a game studio associated with his name called Lucasarts. Lucasarts owns the rights to the Monkey Island series which ToMI is a part of.
Therefore, logically, Tales of Monkey Island should be translated into Esperanto.

Don't forget the English translation of the new Zak McKracken game.

I'm with you there! Let us retire to the EvilSecretBase™, drink whiskey, talk about our evil past, throw things at the annoying cat outside, create diabolical spam-mails about the death of Gordon Brown (so we get their hopes soaring up like newborn eagles, before dashing them like a frail body on shallow-rocks) and then begin our steps for world domination destruction!
... alternatively we could just drink whiskey. Tom-ate-o tom-art-o.
This joke is no more. It has cease to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a soulless figment of a joke. Its last laughter gone.It rests in peace! It laughed down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! This is an ex-joke!

And the other ones are Chinese and in some years Indian.
Proud to be an ethnic Chinese.
True, pick your poison!
