PETITION to Telltale Games to translate Tales of Monkey Island into KLINGON!

edited August 2009 in Tales of Monkey Island
Then they'd spend more time playing MI and less time trying to hurt poor Kirk! :p

Braille or Morse code are areas that have yet to be tapped into with video games.

Actually I'm pretty angry these have not come out before the English version. Seriously how dare they think about releasing a game in their native language first!

when I saw that in the list, it cracked me up. :D oh boy...

I was going to translate a few Monkey Island quotes into Klingon, but I don't know any of the actual words and I'm also very lazy.

I also PETITION to Telltale to bring me a nice cold beer...MMmmm. Petitions always work!
  • edited July 2009
I could use a beer... but I have always been more fond of my whiskey
  • edited July 2009
Beer for me, whiskey for you! Come on Telltale! Heed our mighty Petitions! :D

Would it hurt them to throw in some pretzels or peanuts while they are at it?
  • edited July 2009

This thread is gold. Here's a little something:http://www.spoonyexperiment.com/2007/07/14/power-klingon/
It's about 30 minutes long but a least watch the beginning. Power Klingon! Learn to speak Klingon. Featuring the voice of Michael Dorn.

I am mad the excellent looking beautiful 2d "The Book of Unwritten Tales" is not IN ENGLISH even though it was made in GERMANY don't they KNOW the world revolves around MY language and that it is INEXCUSABLE to have to WAIT for a TRANSLATION?! It's not like OTHER companies often make their games ORIGINALLY in one language and then produce ports MONTHS LATER!

I am going to burn some books that haven't even been written yet.

Great to hear from you again Dom! Let me congratulate you for your amazing job on chapter 1!

Klingon? Shouldn't it be translated into Monkey first? :(
  • edited July 2009
I'd buy a Klingon translated version any day. :-)

    The game is in 3D.
And it is pure point & click.
After playing Wallace & Grommit I realised how strange this game felt. It has some strange angles because the floor has to be on screen all the time...

Yeah, you go ahead. I sure wouldn't want to get involved with the Monkey Voice Actor's Union.

I remember that DUNE adventure by Cryo being translated to Fremen language. No kidding.

This one should be translated to the sacred Monkey language to match up.

Why is TTG so slack that they haven't translated it into vnfalvgirhfejdcnsvcihgwcnwicdfglk yet? Just because I've only made up the name of the language and haven't gotten around to inventing it's alphabet, words, pronunciations and grammar yet is no excuse.

    SBCG4AP needs some translations too.

I'd actually love a latin dubbed MI1, with English/German/Klingon subtitles. Would be fun.
  • edited July 2009
If thats the case, I think on of the characters should just be replaced with Kirk. I don't even think its possible to fathom how awesome that would be.

    Hey, Dominic is back. Awesome.

Great job on the Special Edition and Episode One. Not that you weren't already, but you are the ultimately definitive Guybrush.

    Translation error.

I'm not sure LucasArts would be too pleased with Klingon... I'd say a safer bet would be Ewok.

Goodness, it's a translation thread with no posts in spanish in it. Now I've seen everything!
