Yeah series 1 was definitely the best and I remember it actually being pretty scary when I was younger too. I had to keep checking people's foreheads for a couple of weeks after the Slitheen. I just wish we could've had more time with the dream team, Eccleston, Rose, Jack and Mickey.
Yeah, I prefer Eccleston's short run, to all of Tennant, Smith & Capaldi's runs. Forgive me fans, of those eras I just voiced my personal opinion.
Plus, the War Doctor is something of a decent concept. Plus, JOHN HURT.
The ending of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explores of Time/Darkness/Sky. Not technically a death, but it comes very close. That was probably the first video game where I felt actually choked up and needed a breather.
Lost...Jack's death...when he is alone in the jungle and the dog comes and lies beside him.
TWD Hershel's death....Andrea's death.....dammit everyone's death.

Lee Everett's death and Kenny's Season 1 "death" really messed me up. I spent at least an hour total crying for each. Yes, the emotional attachment was real. I've cried a lot during TWD game, but nothing I got in my play through messed with me as much as those two.

Glory (1989)
Death of Robert Shaw, and the final charge up the ramparts of Fort Wagner. Lets say the regiment pretty much didn't exist by the end. Also perhaps one of the best battle scenes in film history. As it doesn't end in victory, but defeat for the protagonist cast. But as the film is titled, their actions were never forgotten.
This scene from Band of Brothers always makes me sad. Just the expression on the dead mans face, among other things in the scene spoken of and mentioned. And it seems you need to watch it on youtube directly. This on particular scene also made that particular flower considerably more popular in pop culture as well. I doubt the tank on valkyria chronicles would of been named the Edelweiss if ti wasn't for this scene. enter link description here
I don't know if anyone watches Hannibal , but when Abigail died it affected me. It mostly affected me because of Will's reaction to it.. You can see the pain in his face and hear it in his voice ;_;

Shit I can't believe that got me! He's an imaginary friend dammit, and his death made me cry!
Me too, my friend. Me too.
And FYI I am also a Classic Whovian.

I would say just about all of Lost, but some made me cry more than others, like:
Jesus, there's so many! I won't list any more.
