Why do Telltale use the same voice actors.
I guess cos of money and they have used them before,it's just annoying spotting them, one voice actor i keep earring,he was biff in BTTF and Calos in the TWD SE2 and I think he did 2 characters in GoT,One of them was at the north Grove. Can't remember the voice actors name but it is a unusual name.

They have a few frequent voice actors but they have plenty of new ones as well. Most of them in GOT such as Alex Jordan and Russ Bain were new. Voice actors I had never even heard of.
Besides, I don't see how returning voice actors are an issue in any way.
I noticed that too. Who knows? but at least there good voice actors!
Bay Area Sound and Telltale pick the best actors from auditions - sometimes that happens to be someone they worked with before, sometimes not. Sometimes though, like with Minecraft: Story Mode, they'll reach out to specific actors to see if they want to do the game (which was the case for the 80's actors and the YouTubers). They'll fill the rest of the roles out traditionally through auditions though.
Is your profile picture a telltale version of Jamie from Mythbusters? What the hell?
Okay now that I think about it that game would be hilarious.
Mythbusters: A Telltale Game 2017!
I always though it was really fun to find past voice actors from other Telltale games.
Also Andrew Chaikin doesnt have a role in Game of Thrones.
The only reused actors (between game series) that I can think of are Erin Yvette, Dave Fennoy, Cissy Jones, Adam Harrington, "the Stranger," and Scott Porter (but let's be serious here, it's really just the same character in a different franchise). Troy Baker doesn't count YET because Batman hasn't come out yet.
Quick edit, forgot Melissa Hutchison.
Hasn't Jared been in like 6 games? Or more. I don't know about the newer ones.
Erin Yvette
Gavin Hammon
Adam Harrington
Dave Fennoy
Anthony Lam
Melissa Hutchinson
I'd say Troy Baker and Laura Bailey are becoming regulars if they weren't already in almost every game ever
I like Erin Yvette but honestly after hearing her voice in 4 games it kinda gets annoying for me. And now shes gonna be in the new Batman game which I don't mind.
er in the list of voice actors list you mention you called someone the stranger. if you refering to the character stranger from s1 of walking dead. he is voiced by Anthony Lam who also voice vince from 400 days and prince lawrence from twau.
Andrew Chaikin is the voice but he also by the name kid beyond. he is also in tales of monkey island, sam and max and in the law and order. oh and 400 days and twau
Devery Jacobs who voiced Sam in twd michonne is a new voice actor and she only had 1 voice acting role.
Honestly, I think it is more to do with convenience if anything. The main guy has played Batman before so you don't really have to give him much direction. I won't go into the other cast but I feel like having the same big name VA's is kinda getting played out. Also, with this being ANOTHER Batman game I'm not too sure if I'm even interested like I should be. It is sort of the same feeling most got when Game of Thrones, Tales From The Borderlands, and MC: StoryMode was announced. Games we didn't really want or asked for with no real hype behind it.
They are trying to build up this game and I think it will turn out to be a good game. Though, most of TTG are just good games nowadays with the exception of TWD S1 and maybe TFTB. We know/been exposed to Batman so much that it would be interested to see how they will do it overall.
Danny Ramirez who will be voicing Javier in TWD Season 3 is a new voice actor who just joined Telltale.
i guess its because of money and you can remember certain voice actors from other games as well bethesda did this with voice actors on oblivion skyrim and fallout
It's like filmmakers working with the same actors multiple times - You have a good time together, they're easy to work with, respect each other's work, and so you keep an eye out for more opportunities to collaborate and work together.
It makes even more sense with small indie devs. You don't usually have luxury to find tons of quality workers.
Why, I will tell you why...TTGS can only fit so many voice actors in the hole in their basement floor. This is how the voice director gets his best work out of them.."It reads it's line when it's told or else it gets the hose again!"
