That was could have been just rumour / legend / myth that was going round Melee at the time.
the rumour / legend / myth part is how he died (as told in Estevan's story), but truth in the story is that he was in love with Elaine and she didn't want him....
The switchover is a good plot-twist (though I hope that isn't the case, it doesn't appeal that much to me), but I'll just wait for part two (allthough the wait is KILLING me;) ) to see what the TT-Team have come up with with the advice of NOR TREBLIG:D
Because Elaine wasn't attracted to any of his other disguises. This is his regular human form and she seems to find him attractive. So he decides to do the one thing he didn't do when he first met her, act nice. After all LeChuck has tried to do, acting nice is the least desperate. LeChuck would defiantly do so if if he could win Elaine. At the same time though, he's still evil and has other agendas in mind for Guybrush and the Caribbean. Guybrush said himself at the start that LeChuck's schemes are usually so well thought out and LeChuck states that his outer shell is meaningless.
mabey hes useing some of guybrushes kindness to fake it cos as he is normal he will allways be a jerk but hes still secretly in control or hes hiding in guybrush hand so he find La Esponje Grande absorb all the voodoo inside and become a pirate god or somthing to do with monkey entrails
Hmm - possible but I personally think it's very unlikely to go in that direction.
I prefer the theory that Lechuck's been robbed of all evil, Guybrush is infected and the evil (pox) is slowly taking him over, and for now Lechuck is genuinely a 'goody'.
No doubt evil Lechuck will reappear near the end
Also that way there are no plot holes, even for pedantic types such as myself.
But really we're still at such an early stage in the story it could go any number of ways so i'm not saying anything is impossible.
Not at all, it totally works! Also, if you play Dark Side of the Moon right when you first see the Telltale Games logo, it TOTALLY syncs up!
Right, now you're pulling the other one! DSOTM doesn't have a title track.
I know this is being cheeky but is there a prog like SCUMM Revisited that'll hack the resource files so I can export the spoken dialogue and analyze it? Just a thought.

Don't know if I can post links to them but there are quick and easy music and speech extractors...
EDIT: Okay, I was looking through Steve Purcell's work through a link on another thread, and I saw this picture of something that he's working on but can't show yet:
Looking at it, I thought "a monkey holding weapons and smoking a pipe?" and that's when realisation struck me: the real secret of Monkey Island all along! LeChuck is not the true enemy, the true enemy has all along really been the Monkeys, for they are the true Secret Masters of the World!
They are absolutely teasing something about the monkeys in this game. I don't know what, but all those Monkeys on LeChuck's ship will tie back in somehow.
I hope TellTale releases it Friday just to mess with all y'all. It might be bad business sense, but I'd love to watch the forums light up light the world was burning.

PM if you can't find it.
Good thinking. This would be funny!
A wise thought. What was he trying to do, anyway? I originally thought it had something to do with wedding Elaine.
I'm just saying.
You brought back some memories.
