Tales of Monkey Island chapter 2 !!!! WTF !!!

hello all monkey island fans::D

Do any of you now what it is going on with the second delivery of The Tales of Monaky island ???? This it is being the worst thing i ever bught in internet, even the game is good. But this company it is so bad taking care of his costumers !!! They dont even say a thing about when the 2nd chapter it is going to be out this month !!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
ANY INFORMATION ABOUT IT WILL BE REALLY USEFUL THANKS A LOT GUYS...

    Get a freaking life. I am not affiliated with Telltale games in any way, just another gamer like you, but good god it is this company that brought Monkey Island back from the dead so that we have a chance of playing it.

    $35 for 5 episodes to me is a steal and Telltale clearly stated "5 Games - Delivered Monthly".

    So for the next few months you may want to start waiting a little longer before you start b****ing

    Maybe you could just have some patience? Geez louise, you know it's coming this month, and you'll have it before the end of this month. What are you complaining about.

    The release date is somewhere between August 9th and August 31.

    No offense to anyone here, but some people really need to get a life. Monkey Island is a great series, but if it is the only thing in your life and it causes you to get angry at the company that are working their asses off to satisfy yours, then you need to adjust your life. You either need friends, a girlfriend, a job, or something to occupy your time. Go out and party, go on dates,watch or play sports, swim, go places. Monkey Island is incredible to play but it is not meant to consume someone's life.

    The game will come out when it comes out, no amount of anger will change that. I'm glad that telltale is not making the mistake many gaming companies do in that they simply rush games, filled with bugs, and just release them. Telltale could easily do that, they already made a bundle, but they care more about the condition of the game and the fans than to rush. Find something to occupy your time. If you get angry over this, then you have been thinking about it way too much.

    Oh I wasn't insulting him my friend. Just think of it as giving him some advice. He is not an idiot by any means, he just needs a little more patience is all.

    It will be delivered in the month. It has a timeframe, just be glad this is telltale, and not 3d Realms.

    I remember when Valve introduced HL 2 episodes, and they said it will be published one per 3 months.... right... :)

    that's totally true...now it's like one episode per year or so. also, i am still waiting for penny arcade episode 3...most games have "problems" with their release dates, episodic or not, and so far telltale has actually done a good job keeping theirs. until now there was only a slight delay in the release of the first strong bad episode and a few minor "later than usual, but still on the release date" things.
    game development, or software creation in general, is a lot more complex than a few years. the more complex a system grows, the more "organic" and thus unpredictable it becomes. back in the old days you programmed something and it worked or it didn't, kinda digital. maybe you had to worry about a few exceptions, but now, it's like exception warehouse.
    so, telltale only give rough release information until they can be almost sure, that the product is ready. almost, because you can never be 100% sure.

    The "it's done when it's done" rhetoric just doesn't cut it in this case. If telltale's marketing strategy is based on the fact that Tomi is a series with monthly installments, a new episode HAS to be released every month, preferably on the same day each month. Can you imagine what would happen if the creators of "lost" told NBC that although the season opener was last week, they're just not ready with the next episode and need another couple of weeks? The guys at NBC would be furious, and for a good reason. Two important lessons I learned growing up were: don't start what you can't finish and don't promise what you can't deliver.
    That said, I really don't know when the next episode is going to be released, and if it happens during the next week then it's all good, Just please don't tell me "it's done when it's done".

    They have never said that it will be on the same day each month just that it will be in the month of August.

    best post ever from Jucius Maximus!. im being quite patient with this one. i havent thought about it. when its out its out. the only thing i will get enpatient about is when they tell us the date and i will be waiting all day lol! but was pretty fun last time on the irc channel :D

    i cant wait to play the next chapter of TOMI, the first chapter of TOMI was great guys, beautiful job seriously, i want to see more games from telltale, that are adventure driven, my daughter loves them shes 7, and there easy for her to play, not like those other non adventure games, that are mostly fast pace, oh hey btw i have been working on game development my self, in alot of different ways, we are working on restoreing a game called earth and beyond, was a space mmorpg that was shutdown by ea games, to add more support to the sims, anyways we got a Emulator made of earth and beyond, and yes we are abiding by the license agreement so we dont get in trouble for copyright infringements, another game that i would like to see risen is space quest 7, now i wanted to build my own with the adventure game studio engine, but it wont look like a telltale, i would love to see you guys make that game come to life, if it would be possible, anyways RIP sierra, and dident vinvida get bought out by blizzard entertainment? other then that i got my own game going, that is pirate base online mmorpg, with the realmcrafter game engine, its working out swell, hey guys once again keep up the great work. btw to all those people that ever played earth and beyond, do video search on youtube for earth and beyond emulator, theres some pretty neat videos of emu game play, :)

    PS, every game thats made should take time, that way the game is truly ready to be released. i learned how much time it could take for a single town model, it took me 3 days to make a single town model in autodesk 3ds max 2010. so imagine an entire second chapter to a full game? what i am trying to say is take your time guys dont rush it, i want to see the game right the first time, not 3 patch's later. :)

    Maybe the leviathan in episode 3 is referring to this sentence? ;)

    Very good plrichard. Very appropriate :) It made me laugh. I also agree with the comment upthread in that Telltale never said that the games would be released on a set date each month, just that they would arrive at some point during said month. ie. when ready for us

    Telltale said after august 9th, and you are complaining it's not out yet on August 4th. Also, this is what telltale normally does, they don't tell release dates until about a week before they're out.

    A few emoticons and comments about Telltale less may get you a bit more sympathy next time. After all this is a forum for MI and TTG fanboys :)

    TTG is always a bit secretive with their official (i.e. not-fanboy directed) posts, but they make up for it by actually talking to us here, at the forums.

    Edit: ArmyMage, sorry I thought you were the OP as well.

    well maybe i did over look that, anyways if that is so, there was no harm intended, i think i put my message across well, about how hard is it to make games, people dont understand what it truly entails to make your own video game, like i said before i have been playing around with realmcrafter, and even with a easy engine that it is, it take alot of time makeing your own models, then getting those models to work with the engine, and haveing every thing be the proper scale size, and then programming the actions in c++ or what other programing language you use. The point is no one should be complaining about TOMI not being out yet. the game would be so worth the wait, even if it was delayed, and its not delayed.

    In the end ABC or NBC will have no choice but to pick it up for 6 seasons and and/or a Tele-Movie...

    Rauly, perhaps you should try reading these forums more often. While there's no specific information set, the developers do occasionally post here with information. Like Jake said, it'll be announced soon.

    They can't give any more specifics because they're still working on the game, that's not bad customer service.

    If you'd rather wait and play the whole thing when it's released, then nothing's stopping you from doing that. Plenty of us here don't mind the wait, and even enjoy the discussions and theories about what might happen in the next episode.

    Me be wantin' the next chapter, me two sprogs be locked in t' basement until me be finished playin' all five som me not be disturbed. But they be fine, lots o' food stored there for em so ye all take yer time over at Telltale t' give us t' best chapter ye be able t' make :)

    Telltale has done a poor job of communicating to us fans. If they need more time, that is fine but put something on then website that speaks to the progress, how things are shaping and even a ballpark timeline maybe. Even if they said end of August, its better than nothing at all.
