do you actually laugh out loud??
when playing a monkey island game do you have a tendancy to grin, giggle, gaffaw, or just lose it??
i am the type that doesnt laugh out loud alot when i'm alone, i may giggle a little  at the funnier jokes but i rarely just LOL at jokes in games, tv, or video games. i do however laugh out loud when i'm with friends for some reason... idk why but it's just funnier for me when i have people with me to share something with :D:cool:

There was one or two moments in LotSN that I did though (and then looked around for someone to share the moment with!)
I'm the same way in which I don't necessarily laugh out loud all the time, even if I do think it's funny... It's gotta really get me goin on it's own I guess. Unless I'm in a really good mood or something..
I laughed out loud quite a few times in LotSN, Guybrush punching himself and other people got me just about every time.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who does this!
I normally look around to make sure no one was watching...
THAT and the way Guybrush dances with D'oro when he finds dark ninja dave had me laughing out loud alone, but controllably.
For the rest of the games i would usually just grin or smile and appreciate the humour, like when guybrush died on blood island and the game ended.
Sam n Max had a few lines here and there that had me smile too
SOMI:
With Stan on the dock, looking at the sea monkey, with the shooting star and "I think we're having a real moment here"
Near the end, by the river of lava: "How did you get in here without using the head?" (and the reaction from the crew, alternatively Herman)
MI2: LR
On Kate's ship: "What did you do, order this ship out of the back of a comic book?" and "This ship is so small the rats leaving it are humpbacked" - and the retort: "The guy who writes your lines is as funny as your tailor"
(oh, by the way, another one in that scene is "I've seen COFFEE CUPS bigger than this ship" - another "he's really in an amusement-park" reference?)
My brother doesn't like to play adventure games, he likes to watch me play them. ToMI is the only adventure game/episode that he actually played, enjoyed and finished.
And in other games, yep. Esp Sam and Max I still can't hear the War song without laughing out loud.
Even Guybrush dancing?
I saw it more as "god, 3d dancing looks ridiculous" and less in terms of "look at guybrush". But then again, I might have a different sense of humor. For example, I never got what was so funny about, say, 'spider pig' segment in the Simpsons' movie. I remember seeing the movie with my cousin who literally fell on the floor laughing at that and I was like "did I miss something funny that happened here?"
Maybe I just don't get some other better jokes because english is not my mother language.
But I remember several moments in SBCG4AP and both Sam&Max seasons where I actually LOLed (I can't remember exactly wich moments, though)
With Wallace & Gromit, I've only had big smiles and GIMM's XD
When I played through Sam & Max Season 1, this was the funniest dialogue for me:
Sam: Hey, Sybil. What's new in the world of frequent, random career reassessment?
Sybil: Hi, fellas. I'm really excited! I found the perfect job for me.
Sam: You don't say.
Sybil: That's right. I, Sybil Pandemik, am now a professional matchmaker.
Max: I thought I smelled phosphorous.
Sam: I thought I smelled that joke coming down the turnpike, burning oil and dragging its muffler.
Sybil: It's a dating service, Max. I figured that if a smart, successful career woman like me could be having so much trouble finding a date, there must be plenty of other people who could use help.
Sam: You're having trouble finding your soulmate?
Sybil: You don't know the half of it. It seems like all the guys I meet are total losers. No offense.
Sam: None taken. Hey!
Sybil: Or else they're borderline psychopaths. No offense.
Max: None taken. It's the borderline cases you have to watch out for!
I didn't hear the rest of the dialogue because I was laughing so much.
yeah i feel that way too but sometimes it helps to stop looking at the humour so deeply and just take it at surface value. it's more appreciating the humour rather than laughing out loud.
For a large part I thought ToMI was rather childish but i'm an MI fan so i just have to play it. Characters like DeSinge and Van Winslow made me cringe.
I also thought spider pig was rather dumb...
That sounds painful...
I laugh when I'm alone just as much as I do with friends if I see something fun on tv, computer etc. But I have a habbit of talking to myself too. And I always talk to the newspaper in the morning. I sing in the shower and I dance when I'm alone. So yeah, I LOL'd from time to time during most of the MI games
..should I see a doctor?
Another moment I remember laughing out loud was in CMI, when you are talking to Lemonhead. Guybrush says something like, "Oops, did I say I want to be a cannibal? I meant...cannonball! Yeah, I want to be a cannonball! WHOOSH!" Lemonhead replies, "You're not quite stable, are you?"

lol, also in CMI when you show the skeleton arm with paste to Murray, he's like "You're a sad, strange little man." Demeaning people is fun.
I agree. The character's in ToMI aren't memorable. Except for maybe De Singe and D'Oro ("How I loathe Pink Pajama Pierre..."). Winslow is not good at all in the 'Guybrush crewmen department'. In the past Guybrush's crews have all been terrific character, Winslow seems a little off. Even the almighty LeChuck seems forgettable. If I wasn't a fan of the series I'd forget all about the fearsome Zombie-Demon-Whatever. But mind me, love the game and LOLed a lot. Specially when De Singe is stuck inside the idol-thing. Priceless!
thank god, I though i was the only one. I also talk to the tv, sometimes repeat lines i thought were delivered in a good way in a show i'm watching.
