Yep, have been since s2 of twdg. After that I swore I would never give them my money again, and I have kept to that. I only watch whatever interests me now, which with them isn't much lately. Their way of doing things is getting old, they need to start changing up their choice formula. Like Life is Strange, Until Dawn, and Night in the Woods have done it better than telltale has done recently.
I'm hopeful and optimistic going forward with telltale. I honestly believe telltale is capable of making excellent games with quality storytelling, however telltale needs to undergo serious internal evaluation of how they operate internally so that they produce more perfected and honed products.
Playing TellTale games, especially The Walking Dead because the game has been with me for the past 5 years, is a tradition I do not want to lose. It is one of the last habits I have as a gamer and I wouldn't want to lose it. The company and the game series reminds me of a younger self. Nostalgia? Probably.
Anywho, I may bee done with TellTale but, as they say, "old traditions die hard".
I wasn't impressed with Minecraft or Batman and I'm not entirely sure I like New Frontier yet. If I don't like this one, I'm not giving up but I may be more selective in what games I actually decide to purchase.
I'm in too deep. I'm still gonna buy every Telltale game from here on out, no matter how many problems they have.
It's like i'm in a broken relationship but just too cowardly to pull the plug on it because i'll always remember the good times.
I believe that when you talk about quitting something then you do it cold turkey. Don't do it after the season, or after this game ,etc. Quit it now.
Delete the forum account too if you can. When you want to quit something you don't do it partially or wait.
With regards to the question, I'm close. But I still cling to hope that something will happen to change where the Walking Dead game is going.
But the game has meant so much to me, it really opened me up to the Walking Dead world (and into the comic).
But my faith is fleeting and my hope at times feels like a dying star. It will only be a matter of time, but part of me doesn't want that to happen.
With new writers joining the staff who have no experience with the game or the lore puts a strain on my faith.
And I'm hoping against hope the fate of Jane was just a fever dream, and that somehow she's probably captured or something else happened then what was saw. But once again I'm grasping a straws.
A lot of people have come to dislike Telltales recent work but still bought season passes, shouldn't they be able to finish a product that they paid for while still being able to provide their own honest criticism?

Nah. This isn't quitting smoking or drinking, its a short series that I've already invested money in. There's absolutely no reason not to see if it gets any better when it has the potential to do so, and no reason to stick around if TT proves they're unwilling or unable to take feedback into account or progress the story beyond a stereotypical affair.

No, then again it seems as though I'm in the minority about ANF. I am more selective and patient now though, I'm not pre-ordering/buying everything they come out with (Minecraft and depending on how it turns out - GOTG). I enjoyed Batman quite a lot and GOT was fairly enjoyable so I didn't mind too much that they were cash grabs per say but they really can't keep on doing it. If they keep pushing out mediocre games, yeah I think that would probably steer me away eventually.
Just now it feels like they just spit out games with way less content simply to just get the game out with the big name, rather than making something that truly is unique and different.
I'm still a fan of Telltale, but I think part of the problem is exacerbated by the repetition of the gameplay formula. When I say "gameplay … moreformula", I don't mean that as a generalized conglomeration of interactive story telling as a whole, but more specifically Telltale's specific template. Some innovation and liveliness in Telltale's particular gameplay template would do them some wonders in terms of giving us players a breath of fresh air.
I became a fan of Telltale years before Walking Dead because I really liked the idea of playable TV shows (which is their direction now), but I also liked the creativity and individuality they had in tailoring the interactive elements of their pre-Season 1 games to fit the source material. Back in the day, games like Strong Bad, Sam and Max, Puzzle Agent, Monkey Island, Poker Night 1, Wallace and Gromit, etc all had variety - even if some of them followed the same general template.

Not completely, but honestly, I'm close to. I don't really find their games that enjoyable lately and I'd rather move on to watching playthroughs when it comes to Telltale games so I can kill time.
Don't get me wrong, I really love their games, but lately, they didn't have the same effect on me as they used to some time ago. Or maybe my taste in games just becomes worse and worse every day.

It's like going from trying filet mignon for the first time (Walking Dead S1) to eating an old hot pocket (A New Frontier). It seems that Telltale cares more for quantity instead of quality.
There was a point of time where I would buy the season pass without even looking at the trailers or any information on the game. I trusted them that much. The disappointing GOT and god awful minecraft story mode (Still have yet to play episode 6-8, god I regret buying that game) has made me lose my trust in them. This guardians of the galaxy game is the first Telltale game I'm skipping and not playing as it comes out. I'll probably just wait till the whole season is out and on sale.
I thought I was done with them after GoT the end of GoT. I skipped Minecraft and just watched Batman & TWD ANF on YouTube. But I took a leap of faith on GotG so I'll see. I have not played it yet; I maybe tired of this type of interactive gameplay. I know graphics is not everything but I loved to see improvements in that sphere. Other than most of TftB, I have not enjoyed a TTG since TWAU.

I am NOT done with Telltale as long as they keep Clem alive. In case they killed her off I would walk into their headquarters and burn it down

oh no
It's in reaction to bad material.

Pretty much this to be honest.

Eh, if I'm disliking something that much I'd just drop it asap.

Yes, Telltale and I are done. It's official now.
I'm filing for divorce...

When we will see new episode of game of thrones?
Not at all. But I definitely understand the disillusionment. Minecraft was the turning point IMO.
I will never be done with telltale games, no matter what pros and cons they have, I will always enjoy this kind of interactive story games.
I'm going to buy the last anf episode to see how it ends, but then I'm done with Telltale for good.
No, telltale is by far one of my favorite game companies I'm still gonna buy their games
Same here
