How do you judge your nationallity

I know people who by blood are from India or Africa (Triggered) and they were born in the UK but some consider themselves to be British and some consider themselves based on their parents history/where they come from

  • I identify as a piece of shit.

  • Nationality is bullshit. I don't have a home.

  • 1) Citizenship, 2) where you grew up. Usually the two are the same.

That said, my father's theory is above:
1st Generation: wants to assimilate as much as possible
2nd Generation: is a throw back who wants to reconnect with the home country.
3rd Generation: the question is largely irrelevant.

    I'm 3rd Generation so...

  • Sorry to hear that. Must be terrible using the café wi-fi all the time.

Nationality is bullshit. I don't have a home.

  • This is the most accurate description I can come up with:

  • I DO have a phisical home, I'm not in the streets. I'm just saying that this "home" means nothing to me.

Sorry to hear that. Must be terrible using the café wi-fi all the time.

  • We're all from Africa if you go back far enough.

  • i am israeli. i love my country and nationality! :)

    DONT.

  • I'm American, rhough I don't feel much connection to the country as a whole.

I'm also not grounded much by ethnicity, since I'm mixed. Mostly Central European with some Russian, Swedish and maybe a bit of native or black (family history says native, but black wives were often passed off as Indians at that time). Out of all of those I'm probably most connected with the Italians, who came from the alpine region.

The strongest connection I probably have is with Pennsylvania Dutch (Deutsch) culture. I was brought up in that area, speak with that accent, love starchy foods way too much and follow some of the customs.

  • I consider it by blood, i have mostly Italian blood with a bit of Russian but since i am more Italian, i consider myself Italian.

  • Is that one of those villages of german settlers?

  • I'm mostly Russian, though I have some Chechen and possibly Middle Eastern blood flowing through me. I do love my country and my culture but without bigotry.

I am Sicilian, and my family is from Sicily, so Sicilian and Mediterranean.

I also have a bit of Scottish descent, but i mainly consider myself Sicilian.

  • I am from Turkey.

  • I don't care about nationalities. They are man-made just like country-borders and hold no value. We are all people. Living on the same planet, breathing the same air and looking at the same sky.

  • Yes we do, but we also have separate history and culture, we believe in different things and live by different traditions, that's why people travel, learn and explore, to try as many things as possible to find and understand themselves, based on what they've already done and experienced, to pass on this knowledge to other generation and die fulfilled as a human being.
