I have a gaming problem
Everytime I play a video game, I just play for 15 minutes and then I stop playing instantly. And everytime I buy a new game, I never finish it. And then quickly afterwards I buy another one, and it keeps on repeating. I think it's because I buy too many games in a short span of time.
Even when I buy a new game, I just quit playing it after 1 or 2 days and then I move on to play an older game on the PC.
By the way, I only play Open world games on my PS4. And I pretty much have every open world game on my PS4. And I seem to get bored of playing them after a few minutes, which is very strange to me.
Because back then, whenever I buy a new game, I always keep playing for DAYS.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

Same here but has been happening less often. When I got Far Cry 3 awhile back I only played it for 2 days and never finished same with Far cry 4. I also did it with telltales game of thrones. But ever since I got the new Zelda Gabe in the switch I still play it to this day along with other switch games I bought.
I think it's probably because we only play open world games, but I don't know anymore.
Sounds like you are oversaturated/jaded by the same type of videogames. It's like eating the same food over and over and over again. Even if it is your favorite food, you will start to dislike it after a certain amount of time. My advise would be to play completely different games or stop playing completely for a while. So that you can "recover" and "refuel" your interest in these types of games.
Yeah, but I dislike games that are linear and restrict freedom.
I want worlds to explore.
But, I gave The Last of Us a try, and I play a ton of Telltale games.
But if it involves PS4, it always has to be open world. Although, I do make a few exceptions.
I have that problem too, the only games I play are multiplayer games because people ask me to play with them, I havent played a singleplayer game in quite a while.
Well, good luck. Don't have any other solution, sorry.
Have you given Uncharted a try?
One of the best games ever!!!
Congrats your turning into an adult.
Jokes aside, you should probably set your eyes on one game you want to play in particular and focus on that till you beat it. I have a problem of overwhelming myself with game after game.
Open world games get boring after a while, try something story based which fits your aesthetics and give it a go. Don't force yourself into enjoying something, just look for a game that gets you hyped.
What's an open world game? Is that a stupid question?
Check it out.
I'm like that with First Person Shooters, I just cannot play them for an extended amount of time. I much prefer Third Person in general.
You're probably burnt out. For a few months (end of 2016, start of 2017 to be exact) I just couldn't bring myself to play video games, so I kinda sat there all day watching YouTube or cleaning. Never really did anything unless I was playing with friends. After a few months I started playing more avidly again, you might just be burnt out and need a break. Watch some shows in the meantime, Netflix has released some pretty fantastic stuff recently and the 5th Season of Samurai Jack was great. You're not simply becoming an adult and open world games aren't burning you out, you just need a break is all.
I can relate. You could just take a break or something. Keep yourself occupied with something else for a while until you suddenly feel the unavoidable temptation to play video games again.
Because they making games that are bored, like FC4 it was so much boring game that i thinking if i must complete story you know, FC1,FC3 i complete for 5x times. SWTOR i like star wars universe i buy subscription for this game, but after 3 days playing its's boring you need complete this task, you need go there, there, after you finish task you need to return who give you that task, he will say that it's not enought so you need go somwhere else and get this. Explain there was one mission i was doing it about 1hour. i was on Tattoine and there were 2 NPC models that gave me quest destroy Czerka generators there were so many tasks on this quest. So yeah me too if games are repetitevely bored so i dont mind to complete the story.
I wish I could manage to be like you, I have been playing CS:GO for 390 hours in 4 months and still I want to play it so badly. My exams got screwed and I am about to take summer school but still I am thinking about how can I ranked up to Nova 2 today.
Its because your spoilt for choice, imagine a child with a mountain of toys and they keep getting bought new ones all the time, they dont appreciate them as much as a kid with a couple of toys bought for special occasions.
Restrict your game purchases so they are a treat again, open world games take time to play only buy them once a month or something and sell most of the others.
Complete a game trade it in and get a new one only have 1 or 2 open world games at a time.
Use the day to do stuff get out the house and get some vitamin D, play games in the evening make it a special time have some snacks ready and listen to a new album while playing.
