Finally!!! Let's talk and Go May!!! Pls dear god UK don't elect Jeremy Corbyn
I must be the only one it wants Jeremy Corbin to win.
All of the parties are pretty bad, IMO but it's been interesting to see how unexpectedly well Labour has rallied in the last few weeks. Seeing an avowedly socialist party (albeit a highly deficient and liberal one) get somewhere is inspiring.
May and her "conservatives" strike me as Thatcher-lite. They call for expansion of the nat security/surveillance state and empty "privatization" schemes that really just amount to pawning off nationalized asset to politically connected cartels at sweetheart prices.
Edit(s): words and phrasing.
Are you sure @BigBlindMax Labour as had some members acting antisemitic and some how Jeremy Corbyn is pushing something like Communism into his party and some of his labour members don't like him at all.Just you know Corbyn scares me and May doesn't at all
I do hate this antisemitic party that labour is starting to become I mean there's evidence of that in there party.
1.) Being critical of Israel isn't anti-semitic, any more than being critical of Egypt is Islamophobic.
2.) Corbyn isn't introducing communism to the party, he's trying to return it to its anti-capitalist roots. Labor was created as a worker's party. It was fairly radical and yes, socialist. The socialist aspects were slowly stripped away over the last century, until the Blairites finally finished the job in the nineties by embracing centrism and erasing any mention of socialism in the party's platform. Corbyn is a socialist, rather than a liberal and is trying to put a bit of that radicalism back in the party. I'm not particularly fond of labor's platform (as a socialist myself), but it's far from unprecedented.
1.Being Critical of Israel in the context they are using against Israel like saying I don't know Israel is apartheid state and they have shown a LOT of Antisemitism like For example, in a speech last year, he said that Jews are "no more responsible" for the actions of Israel than Muslims are for those of the Islamic State. In 2009, he announced: "It will be my pleasure and my honour to host an event in Parliament where our friends from Hezbollah will be speaking. I also invited friends from Hamas to come and speak as well."
The company that Corbyn keeps, too, suggests that at best he gives a free pass to bigotry, racism and anti-Semitism within the ranks of his own party, and at worst, he espouses them. He has shared speaking platforms and led rallies with some of the most infamous Jew-haters. He has attended meetings hosted by Sept. 11 conspiracy theorist Paul Eisen, author of a blog titled, "My Life as a Holocaust Denier." He has been associated with Sheikh Raed Salah — leader of the outlawed northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel, a blood libel perpetuator convicted for incitement to violence and racism — whom he referred to as a "very honoured citizen" whose "voice must be heard." Corbyn was also a paid contributor for Press TV, Iran's tightly-controlled media apparatus, whose production is directly overseen by anti-Semitic Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Yeah I don't like him at all and like I said he scares me
that's not anti-Semitic. If he said something like "the Jews have always tried to subjugate and manipulate people from other cultures" then that would be anti-Semitic.
Hyperbolic comparison, but not anti-semitic. He's saying that Jews shouldn't be collectively hated and blamed for the actions of the Israeli state, which is a sentiment that I agree with.
Yeah, he drank a bit of the "muh anti-imperialism" kool-aid there. Some socialists (mostly just Marxists) think that the left has an obligation to critically support regimes that they feel are being attacked or exploited by the west (like Syria or Venezuela), even if the people running those countries are objectively awful and exploitative themselves. It's highly misguided, Bolshevik garbage, but once again, not grounded in hatred against the Jews.
I don't have sources for the rest, so kindly share if you have them.
1.Venezuela isn't doing very good with socialism in that country and have you seen the protests there? 2.I 'm all for not getting rid of Assad when it comes to regime change. But everybody like him(Jeremy Corbyn) are drinking the "Anti-imperialism" kool-aid like you said.
Also there's this One of the biggest criticisms of the "Corbynization" of British politics has been the mainstreaming of traditional anti-Semitism. The country's chief rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, has called the problem within the Labour Party "severe."
Consider the late Gerald Kaufman, a Labour veteran and close political associate of Corbyn's who touted conspiracy theories about Jews throughout his political career. When speaking at a pro-Palestinian event, Kaufman said: "Jewish money, Jewish donations to the Conservative Party — as in the general election in May — support from the Jewish Chronicle, all of those things, bias the Conservatives." While Corbyn condemned this remark, he refused to yield to widespread demands for disciplinary action against Kaufman. This is in keeping with what a key former adviser to Corbyn, Harry Fletcher, wrote: "I'd suggest to [Corbyn] about how he might build bridges with the Jewish community and none of it ever happened." Liket that literally is drinking the kool-aid that was one of his associates and they are people in his party that are literal kool-aid conspiracy theorists and some act like that in the party
I know UKIP is going to get nothing especially with all the major parties but i'm happy to support them, even if am not British.
Neither am I but still don't want Corbyn has prime minister
Put Corybin in a dustbin
Interesting. I gotta go for now, but if this isn't locked by late tonight/early tomorrow I'd like to continue the conversation.
Not really a massive fan of any of Britain's political parties, (though I do lean more towards Labour under Corbyn) but Theresa May is horrible. A woman who'd proudly impose police cuts and is willing to sacrifice human rights to make up for that, shouldn't talk about stopping terrorism. But then again, she is a tory...
Looks like it might be a hung parliament.
i guess Theresa May shot her self in the foot and her big gamble did not pay
All the Tories needed to do was tout Brexit and laugh at the Labour manifesto, but nooooo they had to try and ban porn.
It was a two horse race so I voted labour anything else would have been pointless, now lets bring back face sitting!
Next they will try to ban Doctor Who!!
You're criticizing Labour for supposed antisémitism and you back up the FN which is a party made by nazis-friendly people (And there are still some in it).
Weird.
First of all @Euron I backed Le Pen cause she is sending a message and I hate antisemitism in any political party. That message was clearly saying to the EU "Screw You,EU"! That what was Brexit about.
Also I just heard that the Tories are joining with Anti-Gay Party you know that DUP? Democratic Unionist Party agghhh that's fucking scary!!! But I'm glad that Jeremy Corbyn didn't become prime minister.
Also @Euron how is Macron doing?Still bad or much worse?
You think that's scary? Wait til you hear about the rest of the DUP's history...
I'll take the bait and all about macron.
There has been the elections last week, only 1/2 french voted to elect the parliament.
Meanwhile the propaganda is so strong they call him Macron Jupiter without sarcasm.
He's Also preparing his law about work for this summer..
