You know where this company is heading...

You can obviously tell from season 1 and the soon-to-be season 2 of minecraft and guardians of the galaxy series, we will possibly see things like adventure time into the mix.

What happened to crisp and fresh "idea" games like TWD season 1 and The Wolf Among Us?

  • They better keep there filthy hands off my sweet innocent adventure time. Im a borderlands fan and I did not like what they did to that it was not borderlands it was telltale

I dont like their games any more. im not buying anymore of their games (unless they make some majar changes to the style or go back to point and clicks)

But I stay for the community :)

    Yeah, the gutter.

  • Ditto. Except I'm not a Borderlands fans.

  • I see what you mean. I feel like they use a lot of franchises as a way to make a quick buck. then again, minecraft is loved by younger kids so it broadens their audience a little bit.

  • I see where you are coming from. While I’m enjoying guardians and there is more effort being put into it I still feel it’s for money. I feel telltale can create an original IP and be successful from it. Telltale has a new CEO so I’m hopeful for the future.

  • I wouldn't mind a Telltale Adventure Time if done right, personally I think that Guardians of the Galaxy is quite the improvement in comparison to the latest TTG games (although even Batman wasn't bad), honestly, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is, in my opinion, the biggest let down since The Walking Dead: Michonne, but even then it's praised by many people and loved by many fans.

TTG is pretty much following what's mainstream, I mean, the only title that isn't huge that they've made is literally The Wolf Among Us and it was on the same level as the first season of The Walking Dead, and then there was Tales of the Borderlands, which is very much loved by a huge amount of people. So I think there seems to be a pattern where their less mainstream adaptations gain more positive reactions in comparison.

  • And somehow "the wolf among us" is one of their best games so far!

They are working on so many projects in a short time. Which is why they screwed up this season of TWD. I dont want this to happen in The Wolf Among Us 2 as well. They need to either hire more employees or they have to take it slowly.

  • I'm not an Adventure Tine fan, but assuming they were to go with that as a Telltale game, as long as they have fitting writers and working gameplay, that would be a good thing. The show has already been confirmed to end soon, so it gives the fans something to look forward to, as opposed to the already-saturated Batman and Guardians if the Galaxy franchises. Adventure Time also has a better split demographic than Minecraft does.

While I don't think Adventure Time would happen, Telltale adapting franchises more like Adventure Time would be a good thing, if done right.
