People forget that not every game is perfect
I have never once forgotten that. The idea of something being perfect is simply subject… moreive, it is objectively impossible for something to be perfect as their is not an agreed upon definition of perfection.
Your choices matter
That is until the very end when none of your choices matter.
the characters are generally great
Except for Chloe, every one seemed pretty one dimensional and bland, even the antagonists often lacked character and sensible motivations (the only exception really being Victoria, but even then, she was pretty generic for the first few episodes).
and it's a fantastic story
Which takes until Episode 3 to really get going and takes a backseat to high school drama in the first two episodes, which are both well over 150 minutes long. I understand you need to establish characters, the world, and certain plot elements slowly, but Jesus do… [view original content]
They are rival companies because both are still releasing those types of games (LIS season 2 has been in the making for a while). Just like Bioware and Bethesda are rival companies because of skyrim/DA.
As I said, it was bad to ask for an opinion here because well, its a rival company
Dontnod and Telltale are not rivals. Dontnod is n… moreot in the same business in making episodic point-n click adventure games like Telltale are. Hell, their next project, Vampyr isn't a point n click game, but an action rpg. I don't know why alot of people keep saying that their is some rivalry between them when its evident that is not the case.
Never said that wasn't a possibility, but you can't deny that there are people who flat out won't admit imperfections in the Telltale Games. Everyone has a right to their opinion.
I actually think the community is kind of jealous that Life is Strange has gained so much popularity and in a lot of ways is beating some of the more recent Telltale Games's quality
Or maybe some of us just think the game isn't good.
1.) Well good for you on that (seriously), but there are still plenty of people who deny the imperfections in the games they like.
2.) That's not entirely accurate because you have the choice to either make all of your choices matter or not (and for good reason). I'd argue that multiple TT games haven't made choices matter, and honestly it's difficult when it takes a lot more time and effort to make multiple endings possible, it's understandable (but still frustrating). That final choice is also super impactful and is a wonderful way to end the season considering what happens in the game and what the logical answer could be as to why everything seems to be going wrong and why the storm is approaching.
3.) I think that's a matter of opinion. I think the characters are still generally great. Chloe is one of the best, I agree with you on that. I personally liked the villain (I didn't think the original assumption as to who it was was all that great) and if you listen to dialogue he/she says earlier in the game, there are slight hints as to who they really are and what they've done. There are some characters, mostly background characters that don't really matter, that are pretty two-dimensional.
4.) Yes, and high school drama with a touch of time travel is not for everyone. The episodes are long, but they definitely delivered in terms of episode content/length and because the episodes were released episodically, fans were waiting a long time before they got anything so that probably wasn't as annoying when it was played like that. I played episodes 2-5 in 24 hours so I personally don't have an issue with it, but it's an understandable argument for sure.

It is definitely worthing. It was 1,5 euro in my country and my most friends bought it cause I suggested and they all thankful for the suggestion. Give it a try and its so cheap for an story-rich episodic game.
It's a pretty good game. The voice acting in the beginning isn't very good though but it gets better later on. The writing also gets better. The ending wasn't very good but I think the journey is still worth it. Even then, the prequel is coming out soon and there's gonna be a season 2 as well, so there will be more to the story anyway.
The first two episodes and I think part of the third episode are complete garbage in my opinion. Only towards the end of Episode 3 as well as the entirety of Episodes 4 and 5 was I really invested.
I'll admit I had to get past the first episode until I was fully into it but once I was I really enjoyed it. I thought of it like a Telltale game but more gameplay focused and that you have the freedom to rewind your choices (not that all decision games should let you do that). If you're open to games that have great story and lots to do, personally I'd say give the first episode a try since it's free.
I don't know. I loved it, despite the cheesy dialogue and illusion of choice. I thought it was charming and made me laugh, being the same age of the characters. I don't regret the money I spent or time I put into it. It seems people either really loved this game or really hated it, so it'll be a coinflip if you do or not. Maybe watch a playthrough of the first episode to get a feel for the game before you buy?

LIS and most of the Telltale games are better off being watched on youtube for free, not worth paying for slightly different dialogue.
THIS!!!
It is not too bad. Teenage drama aside, the thing I enjoyed the most about the game is exploring the environment and the musics that comes with it.

yes, the first 4 (well maybe i should say 3 cuz i dont really remember 4) episodes were actually good. the final episode was total dog shit though

The whole game is free if you have Playstation Plus until July 7th, I believe.

Without the spoiler, the journey is decent, only for you to say WTF at the last episode. The end killed it all.

It is up to you to not " killed it at all"

Try it and decide for yourself other peoples opinions dont matter in the end only you can say if you like it
