Please don't be that excited for TWAU S2 and TWD S4

  • I'm guna be optimistic about this since they have listened to the fans request about making clem the playable charecter agian and announcing season 2 of the almighty TWAU so I hope they craft a good story for these 2 but anyways I wouldn't be pissed if they suck too

  • I find it a little bit sad that they buckled on that. I thought they were trying to build a Walking Dead universe, not just Clem's story. Now that I see this is going to be the last one, I guess they gave up.

Oh trust me, we get what you're saying, we're just criticizing you for not expressing your point in a clear and mature manner.

I said this thread isn't for changing people's opinions, goddammit. I'll tell a mod to close this because you guys don't want to understand what I'm saying.

  • Then we're in the minority, bud.

I believe S2 is very underrated and just blindly hated because of some hyperbolized issues that every game has.

Honestly, despite all my problems with it, I agree with you on enjoying S2 more than S1.

  • Hey pal, what's with the salt?

We've been here for a long time and I tend to agree with you on a lot of topics, but it seems like you got too much into this thread to stay clear-headed.

We can't help but let people believe in whatever they want, if they are still supportive and compassionate towards TT, it's fine, let them have their way. Me personally I'm a little skeptic and I'd rather hold back opinions until the game really comes out, but I'm still super glad that TT decided to continue Wolf, which I love to bits and would sacrifice a child to satan if that was the only way for the continuation to happen. Can't help but keep my fingers crossed, both for Wolf and TWD.

  • I was really excited by the announcement yesterday, and I've learned not to get too overhyped because that can absolutely ruin what the final product is. That said I'm not of the opinion that ANF was outright terrible, I thought it was okay. I wouldn't expect them to be flawless, and so they have had some hit and miss titles - that won't stop people from getting excited.

I think I'll try and stay in the middle if I can, but people can get as excited as they want. None of us know how they will turn out, this all basically hinges on how you have felt about Telltale the last few years (including what you thought of ANF).

I have nothing against you, but don't try and mitigate peoples excitement just because you aren't.

  • Lol chill he was just stating his opinion that's y their is forums.

  • Honestly it's like people think it's a bad thing to criticize games when really it's what makes them better.

Yeah, you just proved that you're being brainwashed by Telltale's bullshit. You're the one who is criticizing my criticism on a franchise I love. I used to be one of Telltale's biggest fans and you weren't even there.

  • I still think season 1 is the best but I agree that season 2 was actually a masterpiece of a game. I just really think ANF didn't live up to the first two.

To me, S2 of TWD was even greater than S1 and I can actually see Wolf 2 living up to the hype.

  • You said once, you said twice, you said a hundred times how much ANF sucked for you and S2 as well. It's enough already. Nothing's gonna change if you are being salty, commenting and posting GIFs to every dude who has different opinions than you about S2 and ANF.

You have clearly shown to everybody what you think about ANF and TWD in general, let others do the same, without jumping on them, ridiculing them just because you feel superior.

Do you really think I should give Telltale a chance after rushing the Season 3 of The Walking Dead? I gave them chances, I've been defending

  • Dunno if you really are. I also felt different while playing s2. I like both seasons nearly the same.
Only like s1 a little more because Lee+Clem, but second one had Kenny which slowly became my favorite character.

I don't remember saying something about Season 2.

  • Hundreds and hundreds of people hate Kenny, and that makes them dislike the season. I watched this forum fail in 2014, I can confirm that most users' issue with S2 was Kenny overshadowing others, as the storyline was too focused on Kenny and those who dislike him found it hard to enjoy playing the game.

  • the hype isn't what killed these games, the fact that they're shitty video games killed these games.

I don't see the point in telling people to limit their excitement This is what happened to those games, the hype is what killed them:

  • that is not a truthful statement lol

Hype is what makes video games turn to shit.

  • Once the original team left this project they should've stopped it there....even season 2 wasn't supposed To be continued without vanaman

  • And here I am, preordering both of these games along with new Batman... I get it, ANF was not that good but, after GOTG I believe that TTG still can make good games.

  • Unfortunately, true. :(

    Until ANF came along.

  • Regarding TWAU, I am more concerned by the fact that the Lead Writer and Game Directors of Season 1 aren't @ Telltale anymore.

  • I'm totally listening to you.

After calming down a bit from the initial announcement (seriously didn't expect it) you make valid points OP. TWAU is easily my favourite Telltale game but their last games have been lackluster to say the least. ANF was a complete trainwreck..

I hope that they have learned and I'm trying to remain hopeful. PLS don't fuck it up Telltale, your reputation isn't nearly as good as it once was
