It TRIES to have the fun and charm of the films but it just ends up feeling boring and having flat humor most of the time.

It's just a lazy watered down cash grab for me.

I disagree with that, it has the fun and charm of the Guardians down pretty well, especially with the characters, plus it does well with hub

  • That's because they DIDN'T LISTEN TO US!!!!

Everything that happened is because of them. This is all their fault.

Honestly comments like this just proves my point that they should move on from TWD. Most of their TWD fanbase has become too toxic at this point.

  • If they continue, they'll run out of ideas and we'll end up with another shitty season like ANF. Therefore they should invest everything thats left, once and for all, one LAST time, in one LAST run, one LAST ride, one LAST SEASON

  • I don't insult or harass, just telling real and OBVIOUS things.

  • I agree. The fans complain and complain some more when they don't get what they want. It's TellTale's choice. They should be able to make the game they want without fans browbeating them into submission. The fans are allowed to not like it, but don't act like they're the ones in charge.

Wasting time on Minecraft and Batman? Uh...TellTale's a company. Companies often work on several projects at the same time. TellTale doesn't and shouldn't revolve around the Walking Dead or the Walking Dead's fans demands. God forbid TellTale doesn't bow down to the Walking Dead fans and work on nothing but Walking Dead games forever and ever. I love the Walking Dead games too, but damn. People around here need to stop acting like TellTale's world revolves around the Walking Dead.

maybe they shouldn't waste so much time on fucking Minecraft and Batman instead of TWD? Well, now they finally can work on Minecraft and Batman all TOGETHER, no need to worry about TWD and TWD fans, that was easy ain't it?

  • I didn't say they have to work only on TWD, if they work on several projects, they should look after quality of ALL projects, not the ones they like more. For example, Right now(and while working on S3) they were more concerned about other game(s), and you can see what happened to s3. All i'm saying is, TWD fans want good quality games too.

  • Honestly at least i know that we will have a season of TWD TWAU but i really need to know is there will happen Tales from borderlands season 2 the season 1 was so greatly but i really need to know 'bout s2

  • What was TT thinking, when decided to announce season 4 as Final Season? Valar morghulis.

I cared about The Walking Dead by TellTale. I would say I loved Season One more than the show, and the comics both of which I followed at one point. But much like the show and the comics, as my favorite characters departed from the series, it felt empty. New characters appeared more as cannon fodder than compelling, complex people who's survival I worried for. Some of that is the writing of the characters; some of that is the formula of The Walking Dead where it had become predictable. The last of it was me.

The Walking Dead ( whether it was the comic version, TV, or TellTale ) creates a universe of apathy. Like the original characters themselves, I find it harder and harder to care about anything outside of what little remained of the original because the formula generates that defense mechanism :: don't get too attached. They'll die like all the others. I'm a slave to the wheel crafted from the ending/beginning of each Season. Season One -- everyone dies except Clementine. Season Two -- everyone dies... except Clementine. ( AJ doesn't count. As an infant/toddler, he has no personality. He's basically a trope. The beginning of Season Three kills Kenny/Jane instantly if they exist, therefore they essentially die at the end of Season Two off screen as it only appears in flashbacks. ) What does that leave people to care for :: Clementine. It's conditioning - whether intentional or not.

To break the wheel, Clementine's story must end.

  • I don't know why y'all always tell me "Clem's story must end", "It has to end at some point" I know that for fucks sake, it's just too early. There's still lotta stuff to do, even without time skip.

  • People are merely expressing how they feel about the series. In this instance, I agree with the creative direction TellTale has decided this series needs following the fallout of A New Frontier. I'm not saying how you feel is invalid or even unwarranted. It's simply to state that it's no longer too early for me. If I'm frank, sadly it's nearly too late.

But that's me, not you. Just because I disagree with your opinion doesn't make it wrong. What stuff is there still left to do that can't be resolved in one more entry?

  • One word for you sir... Uncharted

  • Assassin's Creed. Its a cash cow now, but up till the 5th game where they cared about fans...

  • Better villain(like Negan, or even him), more of old characters that disappeared in previous seasons(i don't think they will show them all in s4) , more communities and characters from comics, and more importantly, more Clem. They could think of something if they would wanted too. But, that's just what i want and what i think would be awesome, it doesn't mean others want that or think like that.

  • If Telltale were still good at making games I think they could've gone to at least season 5 or 6 but of course they suck now. Hopefully their turning it around though Batman S2 E1 was really good in my opinion. Best episode sense the GOT finale.

  • Honestly I feel like it's going to come back in like 6-8 years after season 4. U can hate on season 2 all you want (I personally loved it) but it got good reviews and mostly positive feedback with some constructive criticism. Basically ANF single handedly destroyed the series because it got legit bad reviews and 90% of the feedback Telltale got was how terrible it was (I hated ANF too). If telltale does a really good job on this last season and it gets really good reviews/sales/feedback I really think their going to come back. Telltale said they will continue to work with Skybound and even if you don't think they will make another TWD Game, i understand, but by no means is it impossible or out of the question.

  • Honestly I feel like it's going to come back in like 6-8 years after season 4

I think it wont matter anymore + no chance it's gonna be Clem's story again and yes, I know that TWD isn't just about Clem.

Actually I don't, but I do afraid that if AJ's gotta be a PC, Clem may die, and I REALLY don't want her to die.

  • Yeah they made a big mistake by stating it as the final season in my opinion even if clem dies they should have left the door open for a season five or complete reboot later down the road

Why... why did you make this thread??? You obviously know what game the mature community's gonna target first!

LEAVE MINECRAFT OUTTA DIS WILL YOU???

Believe me, as a super fangirl for MC:SM, if they make a season after this it WILL actually be milking. This season (if you're even watching it before you spew out vile hate comments about it) TT is taking the villain up to the highest level possible. Any villains after this will look pathetic.

  • if you're even watching it

... dont you mean playing it, or are you another one of those "TT fans" that never buys anything, just watches lets plays then acts like they have some sort of stake in it?

    They ALREADY did.

  • Do you really want TWD to turn into a cash cow for Telltale to milk the fuck out more than it already is?

I mean, it'd be the best if they end the series at last. Less projects to work on, no more bullshit on The Walking Dead franchise than there is already. Sure, some fans will be unsatisfied, but better than making the majority of the fanbase to lose hope on the game industry cause of one franchise that started amazingly, but starting being shitty in the middle.

  • i hope they won't kill clem at least

  • I really don't care about your precious Minecraft, but i'm sure TWD S3 was a bit bad because of Minecraft and Batman. I bet the best writers were working on those two games and those who don't know shit about TWD were working on TWD. That way, TT just wanted to get rid of that series by showing that it's getting worst. I just hope, other company that cares about TWD and TWD fans will get right to Clem and will do a really GOOD series.

P.S And yes, I have watched a bit of a gameplay of MC:SM and I still prefer original Minecraft.

I'm thorough arguing with haters. It just turns into a stupid insult war where the person I'm arguing with makes a statement regarding the subject thorough blind hate and no facts/research. I despise the fact that 90% of haters online never carry on logical arguments.

I'm fine with other Telltale games, I just loathe how everyone keeps hating my favorite.

Now buzz off, will ya? OPINIONS ARE OPINIONS.

If only they didn't use too much time skip.

To be fair, they wouldn't really have to end the game because of time skips, when you think about it. They'd just have to put it on an extended hiatus until the comics moved things further along.

...actually, now that I think of it, maybe that's what's going to end up happening here.

Have you actually ever played Minecraft Story Mode Season Two? The episodes that have been released of Batman Season Two and Minecraft Story Mode Season Two are the best games Telltale have created since The Wolf Among Us in my opinion.

The story narratives flow much more smoothly, and connect the previous seasons to the first seasons much better than The Walking Dead: Season Two did. Plus, it feels like the choices you make are handled much better than any previous season, since they really do seem to affect the story in noticeable ways, rather than just affecting the way the characters respond to you.

These two seasons show that Telltale is improving their story narratives and the choice-based gameplay with these games, which can only lead to good things for the final season of Clementine's story in the world of The Walking Dead.

Yes I have, and I will concede that the game is actually quite decent. I wouldn't say it's one of the best created since The Wolf Among us but it's not bad. That doesn't change the fact that it's practically a third season of a Minecraft fanfic, which I could forgive if it was absolutely outstanding but in my opinion it isn't. The whole game just seems unnecessary, like Telltale is milking the series at this point. Yes the designers are doing a decent job with the choices and the minecraft mythos but that change the fact that the series seems like a cash cow.
