:confused:Perhaps you know dumb 10 year olds. The ones I know (even 8 year olds) would not be in the dark about this type of humor. Sorry to sound mean, but I'm getting a little defensive here. Seriously can you think that kids will not get these references? C'mon be serious.

And what's wrong if they get it?

No I will not be "angry" and I please wish you would not try to use the tactic of pidgeonholing someone as some "hater." As I said - this is just not what I thought would be the main mast of humor in this series.....it's a one-trick pony. And boring. And the easy way out in terms of humor-development. Maybe the Lair of the Leviathan will be tho tho thcary and then we can all laugh heartily me lads at the oh-tho-clever thexual humor. Har.:D

    thumbs up

I don't see how the gay innuendo in the second chapter is any more offensive than the heterosexual innuendo that crops up in a lot of games, including Tales.

LeChuck gets his leg rather gorily ripped off.
I think the general consensus on that was that it was one of the most disturbing scenes in the series so far.

    If by
    gorily ripped off
    you mean
a leg made out of a small amount of pixels moved away from a body made out of slightly more pixels with some green pixels coming out of it?

I played Leisure Suit Larry games before I was even 10 (kinda was into all Sierra quests at that point). All of them. Accidentaly unlocking the uncensored scenes in the latter ones, by the way (parts six or seven). Grew up pretty much fine, mentally. And I'm pretty sure MI humor is not bad or strong enough to cause some serious psychical damage to kids.

Tolerance of any sexual activity that both (or more) sides agree for and that doesn't hurt anybody = GOOD IDEA.

I think the 'wrong ideas' DoH was referring to are homophobic notions - the strange idea that homosexuality is somehow unnatural or perverse. As I said, homosexual overtones and humor are really no more offensive than heterosexual ones.

Wow, you need to calm down. Everything that everyone else is saying your taking as an insult. Where did I ever say that tolerance to diversity is acceptable as long as it's my opinion? No where. You seem to be doing that as you have stated your opinion and are turning everyone else around to make it look like they are bashing you.

All I was saying that there are gay people in the world and many of them are slaughtered just for being so. I think it's better for kids to learn of diversity in a lighthearted manner than seeing someone on the news, such as a baptist, saying god is plunging the world into hell because of gay people. You wanna get mad, fine, but it won't solve anything.

Same here. Honestly, ToMI plays a bit with homosexual stereotypes... so what? The gays (that I know) have a good laugh about that kind of thing and that's that. A normal person is perfectly able to laugh about stereotypes without confusing them with reality. If I took all the stereotypes targeting Germans seriously then I wouldn't have a happy moment in my life.

So what if a 10 year old does get the references? I'm afraid I'm not seeing why you're so offended by the notion.
