OMFG!!! I'm..... I'm..... I can't..... I'm..... speechless.... I don't know whether I should laugh or cry.... How can the media be such idiots that everything is a cause for alarm?!?!? And even if they don't know MI how can they even think that's something else but a joke?! Next thing they're gonna ban Monkey Island because it tells kids to drink Kerosene... (sigh)

Hate to be that guy XD If I found something like that, I would look it up on google to see if it was real and end up finding out it's from a game XD
  • edited August 2009
I like how he took the "XD" emoticon as part of the name of the drink.

The word Grog was not invented for Monkey Island I'm sorry to say. It's an old English nautical word for a mixed alcoholic drink. Check out Wikipedia for the full details.

"The word originally referred to a drink made with water or "small beer" (a weak beer) and rum, which was introduced into the Royal Navy by British Vice Admiral Edward Vernon (nicknamed "Old Grog" by the sailors) on 21 August 1740."

So sorry guys, but that use of the term is perfectly viable. Whether it's true or not that kids are drinking that stuff then that's a different matter.

    Here's a better Version now.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HeSCBAy4p4

I basically typed out the subtitles and formated them for youtube. Then i sent them to the second guy who posted the video.
Oops. I intended to help the first one, but well, at least they are easier to read now.
Understanding the Date concept FAIL ;)

The funniest thing I´ve seen today.

I just cant believe how the media lies with cheap information like this. I always knew CNN lied to the people about politics and stuff giving one sided stories, but alcohol> i dont even see the agenda here! But whats more impressive its how do they expect a human being to survive drinking something like that. He says the argentine government will schedule a meeting the same day he broadcasted that news to find ways to intervene.

But not about this grog! This report was made on the context of the goverment trying to close nightclubs at 4 (total stupid idea by the way, that like in past ocasions, will end up in nothing).
So in this context, this dorks tried to make a report about youth and alcohol, and this is what hapened....failure.

I wonder what ultimate stupid question you have to ask on facebook or whereever to get the receipt for MI-grog as an answer.

    Maybe something like this:
"Hello! I'm 12 years old by now and i never got drunk, all my friends, brothers and sisters, and all of my classmates already got drunk at least one time. I wanna know how it feels to be drunk. But my parents are strict teetotallers and i look to young to get any alcoholics in the supermarket. what shall i do? plz help, i wanna get drunk so badly! LOLz XD

Could some Argentinian contact that journalist for a statement on that rubbish?!
  • edited August 2009
    Only 2 explanations possible.
    - They couldn't find anyone who speaks English well enough to properly google/wikipedia it.
    - They are too backward to realize you can google/wikipedia it.

There should be some exam before you are allowed to speak on TV....

    Yes, but C5N it's a cable channel, so it's 6th among them.

Its known for being a rather conservative "right-wing" channel.

Basically the kind of people that might belive youngster are drinking kerosene with acid for fun.

And the most frightening thing is that these kind of people make up a growing part of voters in most countries. You should have seen the media coverage we got here in Germany when the last student went postal (doesn't happen very often in Germany, so every time it does, a new witch hunt starts)

Sounds like a self-fulfilling prophesy waiting to happen. What's that recipe again?

I've built up a tolerance to drinking chlorine and model glue.

Posting this video = Epic Win

I know that besides corruption from the right wing, things like the channel are reasonable enough the recent turn of leftits in south america.
