  • The ending was really risky. I don't know how fans will take it, but eh. It's a turning point in the story, to say the least, and the worst part is that I already sensed that. In my version written two weeks ago I predicted it would happen. To those who haven't watched it, I'm just trying to hype it up haha

  • Okay, I'm gonna say this once--can we please chill it with the fuckin spoilers until the 6 or 12 hour benchmark has been reached around 5 pm?

  • I actually wanted him to die when he was a baby so Clem wouldn't have to look after him. But because he's grown up now, I guess it won't be so bad. We'll see.

  • on the opposite i love him more than ever

  • I wanted nothing more than to toss him in a dumpster and leave him when Clem first got saddled with him. Then in season 3 when we thought he was dead I actually cheered. Now that he's old enough to be an actual character I don't hate him as much, but I still will let him die before I sacrifice Clem for him and it's not even close. All that said, if TellTale does include a way for him to die, I seriously doubt we'll see anything graphic. He's not gonna get ripped apart on camera. If zombies get him, it's gonna be something where we see Clem's horrified face as she watches it. We'll probably hear the ripping and tearing of flesh but we won't see it. He is still a little kid, after all, and visual violence against kids, even video game kids, is a major taboo in western culture. It's why you can't kill kids in Fallout anymore.

  • i hope there is a option to leave him at the school soon,as i can't see the attraction of baby sitting him like this, unfortunately i think he will stay alive all season :(

  • I honestly didn’t care about him much in season 2 but he was just a baby he couldn’t do much. The fact that he’s the one keeping Clem going is why I like him. How Clem went from the innocent child to a guardian like lee because of AJ shows how she evolved through the apocalypse. Also this is the end of Clem’s story it’s possible the other games could continue with AJ as the main character.

  • After playing episode 1, I now officially want him dead lol.

Yep, I thought I was starting to care about him but what he did right now is just inexcusable if Clem taught him not to do that.

There better be an option to punch him in the face or slap him next episode haha.
    @AronDracula

  • I think it will work better if there is a choice to save him or yourself. I'd save Clem because ANF ruined AJ's development.

  • Yeah me tooooo

After playing episode 1, I now officially want him dead lol.

  • AJ did nothing wrong, fight me

  • I never wanted Clem to have anything to do with the kid, so I'm looking forward to that possibility, but I doubt TT will go that far.

  • Lol this thread went from defending AJ to him being completely bashed after episode 1.

I know he is just kid growing up in a horrible world but (TFS spoilers)

killing Marlon who was unarmed (haven't seen other outcomes) was nothing but a dick move. If I was playing the game, my Clem would have given Marlon up to Abel's group but no, what AJ did is going to cause more trouble.

AJ did nothing wrong, fight me

It's a fairly reasonable reaction tbh lol

I believe it's to make us question if this kid is even worth protecting.

I still don’t hate AJ. What he did was inexcusable; however, just imagine being born into a post-apocolyptic world. Your morals will probably be less inhumane than those who were forced to learn how to survive after the fall of humanity. AJ’s mindset is focused on survival, so when he sees something as a threat he’s going to instantly react. In certain types of situations he’s not going to have an internal debate if something is right or wrong. Survival comes first.

  • Sure being an arse over a toy policeman is "survival comes first" lol.

  • Well you also need to realize he’s a kid. Kids fuss about nonsense such as sharing all the time. That’s why it was an option to either let AJ have to toy or to give it back to Tenn. We as the player are shaping AJ how we want him to be.

  • This. If AJ was 100% perfect, there would be no point in teaching him stuff.

  • I see through your lies @CarverDidNothingWrong AJ is in fact Carvers son which is why you support him!

  • Okay After playing the episode I got to say, I love this kid. That is justice!!

  • Look, I'm not defending what he did to Marlon, I disagree with it (even if Marlon was a backstabbing monster), but he is still a kid. And believe me, I'm not usually a person to give excuses to other people when they do something wrong, but considering a past that has been alluded to regarding the ranch and him being a scared kid, while I'll certainly be reprimanding him, I still haven't stopped caring about AJ nor have I stopped being protective of him. We'll see what happens as the series goes on and see how his development is handled and how my choices affect his character, so I'm not rushing to judgment. Hell I even gave Gabe a chance to prove himself, before he ended up failing miserably.

    Uh?

He's only 6, and was born into a walker infested world. Of course he ain't gonna have any regard for human life, his only priority is "Protect Clementine no matter what" since she's literally his mother figure. AJ just needs to be guided in the right direction.

Why the fuck does everyone want to see a literal child die? Jesus christ, give the kid a chance to become better.

  • I love how the hands are drawn.

  • Yup i will pick AJ. Clem had time, she 17 AJ is 6

Honestly, I never cared about AJ during the last two seasons. If there is a choice between AJ and Clem the choice is obvious.

  • I wasn't a huge fan of AJ coming in, but i'm starting to become invested in the character a lot because of how important he is to Clem. I feel that connection. Watching Clem be a mom in a sense is truly a beautiful thing to witness. It's the layer of Episode 1 or TFS that i've found to be the most unique and enthralling. Where things have come full circle and Clem is now the Lee. Clementine has this new Lee like role to play to guide a child through all the hell she faces. You really can mold him like you would a child and teach him right from wrong. It makes you think twice before you act now as you want to lead by example.

The love Clem has for him and the happiness when she goofs around with him is pretty precious if I do say. I could never wish harm to AJ due to how much I love Clementine and how much she cares for him. I just hope AJ can shape up with his mental tweaks and how he acts erratic.
