They did put focus on Lilly on the flashbacks. It could be someone else. Telltale did say it would be 2 returning characters. My guess, Lilly and Christa.

They said there will be "some" returning characters, and this doesn't mean exactly two, this also doesn't mean they are alive, they could perfectly be in a flashback and it'll count.
Also, the fact that Lilly was comming back in EP2 was known since the Demo came out.
There is an achievement "Did You Lick It? - Remembered the good times." So I bet that it is someone from the first season, and we don't have many candidates except Lilly. It would be cool if later Jesus or Michonne or Glenn make an appearance.

People will think im nuts for this but what about Vernon? Now before anyone says it, yes he is believed to be dead but i have always felt that Vernon’s supposed death was very vague. Joyce said the group “Lost Brie and Vernon with that goddamned boat”, so does losing Vernon in that context mean they lost him as in dead or he got lost from the group maybe getting away on the boat they stole? I just always found it not a certain fate for Vernon but i know he’s probably dead anyway, he would be in his 70’s now right? Its just a shame they never elaborated on him

As i stated in my post, what was said in 400 days by Joyce was very vague and doesn’t 100% mean he is dead. She said “they lost Brie” which as we know she did die, “and Vernon with that goddamned boat”.
I know that he probably is dead given how many years have gone by, but the way Joyce said it didn’t confirm for definite he was dead that was all.
If she does appear I hope she's the main antagonist like they were planning to do with Kenny before they replaced him with Carver, that could be pretty interesting.

I disagree. It was vague what Joyce said. Unless someone outright says “we saw Vernon die”, well we didn’t. He could have been “lost” with the boat similar to how Kenny was “lost to the herd”
I always assumed Vernon abandoned them and stole the boat showing even in the end he was still backstabbing people.

Yeah that's what i'm saying. The way Joyce said it didn't make me think Vernon was a 100% dead. "Lost with that goddamned boat" doesn't sound like he died to me.

Well I don't think meeting with lily agian will be pleasant so I'm not excited about that...aside from her I think someone minor is guna show up agian (maybe Mike?) so I'm not getting my hopes up and people must too.

Hopefully they give a pretty detailed background of what happened to her after season 1 atleast.

After last year's AMA where they said a few things like; A.) Kenny's hat will not be forgotten, B.) Joan and Clint aren't forgotten and the decision (with them escaping) would have long-term consequences, etc. I'm not exactly holding on every word they say in those anymore.

Shame Telltale won’t include that for a conversation. I can guarantee there will be no mention of Kenny this season. They already had multiple chances to mention him. Sure they gave the shitbird reference and Carver’s death reference but that will be it I imagine.
Also i’d rather see Christa’s reaction to knowing that Kenny didn’t die in that alleyway and that Clem found him and stayed with him long after
