In every game ( that wasn't a finale) by telltale.
If a character can die but you Dave them. To you've only prolonged their life by half to one episode maybe part of two.

This curse extends to all games. Your only hope for escape is to be written out of the plot like in Minecraft story mode and possibly a certain forrester.

So if for any reason we have to say Louis, violet , or anyone else. Both who we save and who we don't are dead.

The determinant curse is real.

    Unless Richmond was obliterated in between seasons 3 and 4, Conrad can remain alive until the end of A New Frontier. Of course, that doesn't mean he won't die down the line somewhere if Javi's story is continued, I guess.

    Being the final season, I'd wager there's a good chance that characters we save might actually stick around.

    Im hoping that Telltale has way more of this game planned, so when a determinate character happens they wont just die and different things. Seems like many issues with determinate characters in recent Telltale games is Telltale made someone determinate, but had no plan for them after that original death, which leads to awful deaths later on.

    Ava and Tripp are def some of the worst, not to mention how Telltale actually came on to the AMA and admitted that they killed them because they had no idea what to do with them.

    I want characters have determinants roles such as being a friend or foe like in Batman: The Enemy Within.

    They could've just made it so that Ava and Tripp hide in a building during the episode and after the walkers were taken care of you see them again, like with Conrad/Lingard. Then, you hear that they want to leave and the player can convince them to stay or not. Kinda pointless why I'm saying this because you know.

    I think they will probably do Louis or Violet, and then I do think they will live for a long time after that because they are main characters this season and wouldn't make sense for telltale to kill off clem's love interest before the climatic end
