A poll of sorts - regarding AJ and Marlon (spoilers)
There's been a lot of back and forth arguing over whether AJ was justified in killing Marlon but that's only tangentially what this thread is about. Please, do not argue one way or another in this thread. Instead, simply post your poll choice by the following metric. I have suspicions on why people believe what they believe and I'd like to see if I'm right. Simply post the number of the option that most closely resembles how you have felt about AJ in the past and how you feel about him killing Marlon.
- Option 1 - You have liked AJ since season 2 and think he was justified in killing Marlon.
- Option 2 - You have never liked AJ but still think he was justified in killing Marlon.
- Option 3 - You liked AJ since season 2 but don't think he was justified in killing Marlon.
- Option 4 - You never liked AJ and don't think he was justified in killing Marlon.
- Option 5 - You didn't like AJ originally but now you do and you also think he was justified in killing Marlon.
- Option 6 - You didn't like AJ originally but now you do and you think AJ was not justified in killing Marlon.

Option 1, but not so much because he was justified in doing it but more so because I can
understand his reasoning.
Option 1 (I think)
For me its option 1. But I wouldn't use the world "liked". I just felt the need to take care of the kid as Clementine and not straight up murder it like some people here seem to want to do.
Exactly how I feel.
Option 6
Option 1
Shouldn't there be an actual poll attached to this then?
Oh and somewhere between Option 3 and 6, probably the former.
4.
I don’t hate him, I just never connected with him like the games wanted me to.
Option 5 for me.
Except as someone else pointed out - "but not so much because he was justified in doing it but more so because I can
understand his reasoning."
Option 3. I can sorta understand why AJ did it, but it was wrong in every single way. Can't dislike him for it, tho. He just made a mistake. A big one.
Option 1
Absolutely this
I can see what Telltale want me to feel, I just don't. The only reason I'd be slightly bothered about him dying is because I'm passing on a lot of Lee's lessons to him. Although he definitely needs to chop off that afro
I don't hate or like aj marlon gaveup he was't justified in killing him plus he was there friends for like 10 years i hope aj can be punished
Option 5. I'm saying this as someone who really liked Marlon, but AJ wasn't wrong to kill him if we're going by his mindset. He's known these kids for like 3 days and he's known Clem for a majority of his life, so if someone were to endanger her they would be classified as a threat or in his case "a monster". I'm not saying I'm happy he did it. I'm just saying he shouldn't be given the death sentence.
These forums, for some reason, don't have the option to create a poll.
But you can create one on another site and then link it here, as has been done numerous times in the past.
Option 4
https://strawpoll.com/x96gasdy I made the poll
Options 5 and 6 all the way. Didn't like him in S2 & S3 since he did jack shit but he's a great character now. I also think it wasn't "completely" justified but very understandable due to the situation and his lack of understanding of situations like that.
I'm not sure which one exactly I would categorize myself in but:
I felt neutral towards AJ since S2 but I like him now, however his actions are not justified but it is understandable why he did what he did.
I guess thats like a mix between 1,3 and 5 lol
Option 3. Sort of... I mean, I think he was wrong to kill Marlon but idk about the whole justification thing. Its hard to really say what sort of punishment Marlon deserved without knowing if those girls suffered through a lot of pain or still are.
Option 5, I felt the instinct to protect him in s2 but he was more of a valuable object that kept people alive than a person in my opinion.. I hated how they tried to force your relationship by making it seem like he adopted the nickname "goofball" but I like him more as a character now because he seems real and isn't a sarah 2.0, and also because telltale didn't steal lee and clem formula in that you don't have to always protect AJ 24/7 this time, it's like he's just a close friend that can help you out and your aim is not to lose that friendship I suppose
4 hands down
Option 4 - You never liked AJ and don't think he was justified in killing Marlon.
Option 4
I didn't get time to get attached to AJ, I didn't see him grow and I'm just expected to like him, and he shouldn't have killed Marlon but yeah i'm not gonna argue about that I already did on other threads.
Option 3.
