Patrick Swayze, the hunky actor who danced his way into viewers’ hearts with “Dirty Dancing” and then broke them with “Ghost,” died Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf. No other details were given.

Yeah, I just heard about this myself. I have enjoyed several of his movies. It's very sad but I had heard that he was battling a 2 year bout with cancer and was in a lot of pain towards the end. At least he is no longer suffering and his name and contribution to the big screen will live on.

Aw Swayze, I'm gonna miss ya!

(This is in poor taste but I feel it's relevant)

Damnit, now it'll be in poor tastes to make Flappy Head King Graham Swayze jokes.

Pancreatic cancer is a complete b*stard. My Dad died of it at the end of last year, and essentially by the time you've got visible symptoms it's already too late. I was really keeping my fingers crossed for Swayze, and it's heartening that he kept going for as long as he did and kept working for so long - it's like a middle finger to the cancer. Nice one, Swayze.

R.I.P Great movies, But life goes on. Well, at least life goes on for the rest of us. At least he died knowing he was a success, I'm sure he was able to do alot of the things he wanted to in his lifetime, even if it was cut alittle short.
