Telltale Game Client!

edited September 2009 in General Chat
Hello fellow Telltale and Adventure gaming fans. This post is a request/feedback for getting the ball rolling for a Telltale game client.

In seeing my multiple shortcuts and other menus would it not be awesome to have all of your Telltale seasons from a single launch program (a la Steam). Here, they could get patches, see updates on new episodes and seasons, get everything in a nice little home and buy new episodes on one place.

What do you guys think? What-da-ya-say Telltale? Think of the fans :)

Thanks.

I think it'd be a great idea, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're already throwing the idea around.

It might be nice, especially automatic updates if they felt so inclined, but so far the TTG site works kind of like a TTG game portal.

    Interesting thought though.

I saw the title and thought "oh here we go again! Someone else wants the TellTaleTool(tm)"

I was pleasantly surprised to find an original idea, that sounds really good!

It seems like a great idea, and I'd definately go for it! It suits the "episodic" platform down to the ground! I've got to agree though, the site does the job pretty well...

    But you have my vote!

I don't think the Steam and Gametap guys and whoever else would be fussed on the idea though

I like that idea a lot!

The only problem which I can see with this is the amount of patches telltale puts out is pretty minimal. So building a client would probably not be financially sound.

    As long as it's optional.

    Bah, I guess you're right!

I can see the advantages that it has. They just aren't great for adventure games, online games however yes, look at the upcoming version of battle.net.

It wouldn't have to be some big deep complex thing like Steam, it could just essentially be like combining all the launchers into one client, that can access the store and my games pages, as well as provide announcements for upcoming specials/releases.

I think it's a great idea! But only if you have to activate your games once only, instead of having to be connected to the internet all the time, unlike Steam.

I agree, that would make things a lot easier.
