I really think I'd enjoy a completely new world with characters nobody knows yet.
I'm not saying that the games so far (with characters from other games and such) weren't enjoyable, but I'm wondering when TT will make this brave step to new lands.
What I've seen so far makes me think they could do it.

How about one set in a Pirate world with a loser-kid as the protagonist, and a big burly ghost-pirate....

    ... well, darn.

An earlier post: Peepshow; that would actually be quite interesting. Though I dunno if very limited graphics would really suit the show...

Actually. Lines like: 'So a candle stuck in a winebottle doesn't cut it anymore. Now for a special night you need class-A drugs and... fisting...' Really wouldn't fit in with Wallace & Gromit and Monkey Island :p

 I ... yeah. Telltale doesn't exactly develop "E" games, but I think they aim for family-friendly at least. Rockstar though, they might pick up the license.

I'd be satisfied with seeing Mr. Purcell and TellTale continue to milk Sam & Max.

    Dick Tracy
    Animaniacs

Just imagine Guybrush or Wallace reading the above line. It's HILARIOUS!

A Basil of Baker Street game would be so cool. I wonder if Disney still owns the rights? Probably... :(

Guybrush would be just cynical enough to get away with it I think....
Wallace being voiced by Peter Sallis saying it; that would be amazingly funny!

I still think that another series would do more for TTG than continuing to "milk" the current fans. Red Dwarf would be perfect for me, and Dr. Who would probably do quite well. But then, Red Dwarf might not be realistic and Dr. Who could be expensive to employ the right people.

telltale should make a series based on the office. it would be funny, and it would be easy to fit in all the puzzles. i would buy it!

Calvin & Hobbes. An idea I've had kicking around for years, started thinking of some possible storylines and puzzles YEARS ago when I used to read the comics. Could have sequences as Spaceman Spiff, snowmen coming to life, time machines, transmogrifiers, monsters under the bed, Calvinball, and all kinds of other crazy stuff the kid's imagination always came up with...

Dank the caveman. His limited vocab and the prehistoric setting could be hilarious.

For existing IP I would like to see an Encyclopedia Brown game. I'm used to read those books as a kid and loved them.

But I'd prefer them do an original IP. A thought I had for quite sometime that I think could sell a ton of games and would be fun would be episodic games that have a contest built in. So the idea would be a detective type game where as you progress through each episode you find clues to solve the big mystery at the end of the 5 or 6 story arc.

It's sort of a game within a game. So at the end you take all the clues you've collected during the episodes and put them together to solve the main mystery. Whoever solves the main mystery first (or maybe the first 100 who knows) wins a prize (cash, free software, soundtracks). You could maybe even have a tier of prizes as well.

Everyone loves a good mystery and it would also help with selling the episodic game idea.

    Just one name:

    R O B E R T - F O S T E R

By the way; Revolution has a lot better Licences (left) than Lucasarts (since telltale went shopping. But I find they milked lucasarts ... ).

Ps. Yes, Beneath a Steel Sky. I don't see Revolution having the strength to create a proper sequel. I see how this could challenge Telltales new CSI and TMI Skills ... But I guess it could fit.

    Wait, what?

Anyway, looks like quite a few people have mentioned an all-original creation. Telltale, I hope you're reading ... ;)

Yeah, because I'm pretty much unemployed, and I've got a bucketful of game ideas involving Rob Schneider or Adam Sandler.

A Happy Gilmore beat-em-up? A Wedding Singer karaoke game? The Longest Yard, Madden-style? Leisure Suit Larry Meets Deuce Bigalow?

How about "Outlaws"? It was a great LucasArts game, and I would love TellTale to pick up the western genre.

Then what about an actual awesome 3 Skulls of the Toltecs sequel done by Telltale. The ones that we got were a tad underwhelming, but not bad either.

How about a series based on Dilbert? I think it would make for some funny gameplay.

Hmm. Actually, there's some potential there. You could control Edmund himself and have Baldrick around to perform actions too dangerous or unsavoury for yourself.

I mean, we all know that this would never happen. But hypothetically speaking, which Blackadder do you think would work best? I'd nominate Blackadder II, personally, as it has the most historical scope and was the funniest of the series. Anyone else?

Oh, man. I just had a vision of that game done the Day of the Tentacle style; with the simultaneous timelines, except you'd still be Blackadder and Baldrick in each one! And stuff could happen to either of them that would change the future versions of themselves? the potential is mindboggling!

As awesome an idea as that sounds, Bill Watterson has explicitly stated that he will NEVER permit C&H to be merchandised in any way, shape, or form aside from the books. As far as he is concerned, C&H can exist only as a comic strip, because changing its format would damage its integrity, especially since he's always gone out of his way to avoid resolving Hobbes' "reality". I have to respect the balls it took to maintain his stance on this; he turned down acres of money offered to license his creations.

I'd like to see an original TTG game, too. Double Fine's already got Psychonauts and Brütal Legend - let's see TTG give 'em a run for their money!

Hmm..... anybody in the UK hear the terrifying cliffhanger to Radio 4's very silly Dickensian spoof, "Bleak Expectations?" Aside from worrying that something similar might happen in ROTPG, I cant help but wonder whether this radio series might be something that could transfer to a game? Would the lack of a visual style help or hinder?

You know what would make an AWESOME episodic game, but sadly is probably too popular to be a cheap license yet too obscure to be a guaranteed seller justifying said license?

    Quantum Leap.

Think about it. Each chapter, you play as Sam in a different person. Al shows up from time to time for hints. And each episode would have a built-in cliffhanger for the next one.

Again, I doubt it'd be a good enough seller to justify getting the rights from Universal (and it wouldn't feel right without Bakula or Stockwell, who are no doubt way too expensive), but that's something I really want to play now.
