Less than a week!

edited September 2009 in Tales of Monkey Island
We are less than a week away from the release of Lair of the Leviathan. I am surprised that there have not been more spoilers seeing as review versions and playtests have been out for a bit.

Any last minute speculation on
Guybrush's journey through the belly of the beast, encounter with DeCava, or interactions with Murray the Demonic Skull
??

Thoughts? Ideas? Hopes for this chapter?

    maybe both
  • edited September 2009
Dont read unless you want to be spoiled
    Both are already confirmed
  • edited September 2009
Why would you want more spoilers? I don't want to be spoiled or I wouldn't be surprised when I played the game!

as review versions and playtests have been out for a bit

    Where?
  • edited September 2009
WELL the review version part was speculation because they generally come out a week or so before the game is released. The playtest happened a couple weeks ago with some people from the forums, and while im sure they signed secrecy i would have expected things to be leaked by now

Maybe Stan has set up a great new business inside the beast´s belly.
    That´s my bet for chapter 3. :)

I hope we get a cutscene or something like last time soon! :)

I'm really hoping for a "Meanwhile... On Monkey Island". Even if we dont go there as guybrush I would like for it to at least play a part or see what LeChucks demonic army of the damned is up to or if the Monkey Head is still there after the whole robot that shall not be named incident

I also miss the "Meanwhile, [insert LeChuck's ghoulish/deadly/demonic plan]."

Honestly, I've not been paying attention to a few of the screen shots, everything else I want as a suprise.

    FIVE Days till it happens!

There have been some press previews, but no reviews as of yet. Also, the playtesters are, as always, under NDA. So even if they wanted to say something, they legally aren't allowed to. You will just have to wait!

Can we expect a trailer in the next few days?
  • edited September 2009
I don't think I even want a trailer, I want it to be a surprise. The screen shots were bad enough to get my mind going crazy!
  • edited September 2009
Honestly, the press previews and screenshots were enough for me. I'm ready to play the next chapter without a clips or further screenshots.

I think I'm the world's worse counter, I thought it was going out this weekend...Even the release date moved or I just can't count to say my life...

Nah, I think you just needed a calendar. The release date is the 29th and a calendar would show you that the 29th is a Tuesday, which in most places isn't considered the weekend. :)

Review version went out yesterday, so pretty late this time.

A friend of mine has a powerful PC (AMD Quad core, 4 GB Ram, Ati Radeon 4890 1GB video ram, 850Watt power) with Vista Home Premium SP2 and... if he watches the videos in full screen at 1680x1050 on a Samsung 22" monitor from the IGN site after a few seconds it shows a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with an ATI driver error.
But everything is updated, drivers too, etc...
Any video from IGN in full screen crashes Windows Vista...

Vista sucks even if you have a powerful machine and everything is up-to-date.

Let's hope Windows 7 will solve these problems.
