Yellow Submarine

So Zemmerick (Polar Express, Beowulf, A Christmas Carol) is doing a 4th "real-cartoon" movie, and its a remake of Yellow Submarine, do you think this is a good idea? If it's good, it will be awesome, if its okay, it will be horrible.

Seems like a cash-in to take advantage of the recent Beatlemania revival.

I'd rather a new story than a remake. There's a lot of fun stories you could tell with cartoon Beatles going on an adventure.

I also think this is going to lack the utterly surreal nature of the original's nearly-abstract animation, but I'll wait and see what it looks like before I judge.

I can't wait to see the art style... I think that's make or break for a movie like this.

Well all of his previous works mentioned are adaptations of literature of some form so, it's not all that surprising.

Yes, my family always loved reading Charles Dickens' "Back to the Future" and F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Romancing the Stone". :p

I honestly don't think, i'll go and see it. Because one, Zemmekis as much as I love his work. I don't think he should touch it, it's just me but only two of the beatles are still alive, and who knows who will be left by the time this comes out.

I mean it's a good idea, but for me it was done right the first time.
