Wait, I thought you were their first customer?
If I was, I sure don't have the post count to back it up, but if it is any consolation, I own every Telltale game NOW. Personally, I don't believe in love at first sight... anymore.

Now I wonder who WAS Telltale's first customer.

EDIT: I have not picked up CSI: Deadly Intent yet, and it has yet to be reflected in my Programming Guide.

Did a video game company break your heart? :(

    101: Culture Shock, '07.

Lost interest thereafter, before returning a few months ago with a reborn obsession with the crime-fighting duo, and adventuring in general.

Well, I am sure that a few have (LucasArts, Nintendo, Sierra, etc), but actually, I was talking about a girl.

I kind of thought so ... I hope it was a long time ago and you're happy now?

Anyone who follows me on Twitter can see that I am actually a fairly disturbed individual, but I do talk about Telltale quite a bit.

I think Telltale has proven one can be quite disturbed and still happy ;) You know what they say, "If you're not a little bit crazy you're boring."

    Yeah well. Get over it.

I don't consider anything that doesn't last to be love.

I'm a whole lot of Crazy, and I'm still boring, but along with the ToMI Boards, I wonder how many people will stop posting after ToMI is done?

    Yeah well. Get over it.
LucasArts broke my heart. There is no getting over it. First, they teased me with Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels, and then abruptly canceled it. Then, they teased me again with Sam & Max: Freelance Police, and just when I thought that I could trust them, they added insult to injury by canceling it, as well. Now, they show up at my doorstep with a goofy haircut, and ask that I take them back. Relationships are all about trust, and I just do not know if I can trust them again.

    [/sarcasm]

Oh, you were talking about the girl? Yeah, I knew that. As fate would have it, she does share the same birth date with Sam & Max: Freelance Police's cancellation.

Love does not alter, when it Alteration finds, or bend with the remover to Remove. Oh no, it is an ever-fixed mark, that looks on tempest and is never shaken ...

Shakespeare. It's not funny, just apropos.

I hope not too many. I'm sure Telltale's next series is going to be great as well, and now that we've all gathered together here why not stick around? And any man who dresses up like Farrah Fawcett for Halloween is not boring :p !

I wonder if doodo realizes the legacy he's left in his short tenure here? Rather impressive, really. :p

I was at PAX and walked by their booth and was all "O Hay Sup." I immediately got stuck on the StrongBad Demo. Adventure games don't always translate well when it comes to hit-and-run demo attacks.

Please don't mourn for Hell on Wheels, or it's former but equally failed (thankfully) counterpart Payback. Unlike Freelance Police, these were both games that were never ever meant to be made and we were darn lucky that they both got canned.

I agree about Hell On Wheels. I wanted to cry when I saw those screenshots they released :( But what I saw of Payback looked really good.

Back then I was in a weird phase and was looking for a CSI game that I have read somewhere. I downloaded the Demo, liked enough to consider buying it, but then the drama began with UBI. Somehow S&H alone was $5 than the cost of the game.
I cantacted UBI, no luck (Their support royally sucks) then, dissapointed and angry I went away.
A few weeks passed by and then I thought... maybe there is an update or someone else is selling it cheaper, I googled a bit and found the Telltale page and presto: No update for CSI but a monster banner about "SAM AND MAX"...
I tried an episode, bought the episode, then I upgraded to full season, then season 2, and ...

Have you read some of the story elements that were to be included? Ben gets framed (again) for the murder of Mo. Not only is it a repeat of the same story, but they killed off Mo. That's just stupid.

First time I heard about telltale was when I found out they were making Monkey Island... Then I realised they were making new versions of Sam and Max. Was a good day :)

I come from the LucasArts classics fandom. I was one of the later fans of Sam and Max Hit The Road (even though I'd first discovered Sam and Max back in the 90s when I watched the TV series). By the time I'd discovered Hit The Road, Telltale's season 1 was already in existence, and I discovered this when randomly looking up Sam and Max on google one day.

Then, sometime after, a friend of mine had already bought Sam and Max season 1 and 2, and showed them to me and I thought they were great! I decided I'd have to get them for myself someday.

And towards the end of June this year I was going on the Monkey Island fansites and saw TOMI being advertised. I followed the links, read the info about them on Telltale, and thought, "hmm... maybe now would be the time to sign up here and buy all these great games."

While browsing the LucasArts fansites again and whatnot, I then saw info about how Telltale claim that after Monkey Island, a series to follow DOTT would be "feasible", and even though it hadn't been confirmed or anything, that was enough to make me decide, "now is definitely the time to sign up!" So here I am!

Since I've been here I've discovered Homestar Runner and Bone through the company. Not only could I return to the fandoms of games I've loved for years, but also discovered some new great stuff.
