I bet Forge and The Fold are being developed behind the master vault door in the high-security super-secret Telltale facility. There's absolutely no way in...except, maybe...

    <grabs a distaff>

    EEEEEE SEEEEEE EEEEEE DEEEEEE!

    <high security vault unlocks>

    ...woah.

Zac McKraken made the list and Loom didn't? Ouch.

Even though I love Loom and it's the game that is the most in need of a sequel... I think Zak is a better game.

Loom has a better storyline, but it's very short on puzzles... it's much too short and easy.

I think it's amazing how quickly we've managed to very understandably read into this.

THAT'S why when IF Telltale creates a sequel to Loom, they create more puzzles including longer ones :)

Sierra-aware part of the Forums: No. I wanna know about Boom, the latest bomb from master storyteller Morrie Brianarty, BOOM is a post-holocaust adventure set in post-holocaust America after the holocaust. Neutron bombs have eradicated all life, leaving only YOU to wander through the wreckage. No other characters, no conflict, no puzzles, no chance of dying, and no interface make this the easiest-to-finish game yet! Just boot it up and watch it explode!

    TTG: ...hate you all...

Sierra-aware part of the Forums: Can you guys make a sequel to Boom?

    TTG: No.

Sierra-aware part of the Forum: How about a quest-type-game for Incredible Machine 5? :D

    TTG: No. Stop advertising Sierra!

Sierra-aware part of the Forum: Okay. Sorry.

Trekkies: Can we talk about Interplay?

TTG: You know what you can ask about?

    Trekkies: No, What?

TTG: What it feels like to sit in the corner.

    Forums: Hi

Sierra Aware Part of the forums: Hi

    Trekkies: How are you guys?

TTG: Don't make me get the paddle, corner means quiet time!

ever think that its how theyre deciding a future game and loom has already been decided for or against?? also, i didnt like loom =P
  • edited November 2009
also, of the poll options, Zak McKracken was definitely my favorite :D
  • edited November 2009
Who is Zak McKracken? And is loom really that good?
  • edited November 2009
Zak McKracken - a very old game about a tabloid journalist trying to save the world from some alien mindbenders. It also had a two-headed squirl, Elvis and locations like Mars and the Bermuda Triangle. It was as bizzare as your usual Sam and Max adventure, but it had some really, really hard puzzles. The type you draw a map on paper and write down numbers and stuff. Really old school.

And I never played Loom. I should try it.

I also have never played Loom. In fact, until recently, I only knew what it was because of an old joke in a BBS post about Doom:

(Paraphrased) "Fun thing to do while waiting for the release of Doom: Find a copy of "Loom" at the local game store and draw a line on it to make the "L" look like a "D"."

Yeah, it was a VERY old post.

Also just to say the reference to Loom in Secret of Monkey Island with Cobb and the sales pitch.

Also in Escape from Monkey Island, Guybrush on the log ride he always says something different when it just starts. One of the things is "What kind of name is Loom anyway?" and then keeps saying Loom in different voices. :D

My theory on loom, is that it's the predecessor to guitar hero, or if guitar hero was an adventure game...it would be loom.

    Use Distortion Pedal with Slipknot

    "Nah, it's overplayed."

Use Distortion Pedal with My Chemical Romance

"Wow, now I can listen to this."

    (:P)
