Also licensing with CSI should be cheaper than with Dr. Who (think difference in ratings is quite big too)

Dr. Who has had 754 episodes in 46 years, and CSI has had 504 in 9 years, so it's hard to say which is more successful in the long run but I'd lean towards CSI at this point in time.

Yeah CSI is huge in the states..... cant say I am a fan myself though.

Even with having partnered with CBS, Futurama and Dr. Who seem a little bit big for telltale
    Doctor Who is BBC

Uh? The show thats been around for less than a decade?! How is that "in the long run"?! At the very least, you've got to multiply up the number of Dr Who episodes to take into account the difference in the size of the populations of the UK and US

I meant right this very minute that CSI is likely more popular, and I don't know which will be considered more successful down the road.

    Doctor Who is BBC

    That is why.

twilight zone maybe? doubt it...just throwing it out there:)

Star Wars, maybe? I doubt it, and I really don't know if I'd like it. Well, I'd LOVE a good Telltale Star Wars adventure game, but knowing the Star Wars franchise multimedia editorial line, it will be Clone Wars AGAIN. And I'm getting a little sick of Clone Wars.
  • edited November 2009
Me too I too would love a Star Wars Adventure game..... just not set in the prequel era.... Heck I wouldn't even want a Jedi character... maybe a smuggler or something.
  • edited November 2009
I would want a jedi just to see which interface TellTale develops for the forcepowers

I will start collecting seemingly random reoccurring votes under Doubtful IPs. You know ... some of you guys might hit the jackpot.

The first person to mention it (the actual ip) in a single post without spamming, should win something like a free season pass...

Solving puzzles with force powers = very yes.

Twilight Zone? Well, they replaced Bill Farmer, why can't they replace Rod Serling!
  • edited November 2009
Uh, they would have to replace Rod Serling. :p

I've heard Umbrella Corp. is making huge advances in reanimated corpse technology.

It doesn't mean anything, does it? Is it just random office talk, or dialogue from the next game? 1 beep for yes, 2 beeps for no.

But that wasn't a yes or no question.

    No beeps for you.

I dunno, now I'm amused and want to keep the mystery going.

What's next, will you guys propose a Soul Reaver game? 'Cause Raziel is totally hot.

No, do something completely random next, like Seinfeld quotes. That'll get peoples' heads spinning.

It's only funny out of context, which is how I hear it. You know as much of the conversation as I do when I post it.

Ah... so... you don't know if it is in context to the game or not, or if it's people discussing the ratio of lollipops to death.

Myth Debunking: There is no relation to the games we make, or have intention of making.

    It's just cackle-worthy office banter.

    Enjoy.

Let's speculate on random nonsense! I heard someone at Telltale enjoys spaghetti, could this mean the next game they make will be based on spaghetti?

Will the game also have meatballs?

ZOMG! Clearly it's going to be based on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! It's all so obvious now!

Man what a stupid question, of course its going to have meatballs... I feel so stupid now.

Meatballs? That's just silly. My bet goes to "Lolcats: The Video Game".
