No, it'll just be 4 hours after most people are expecting it.

Actually it was an hour and a bit!

For what it's worth, for instance, in Monkey Island 2 you get to LeChucks evil fortress of evil voodoo torture by crawling into an outgoing shipping crate full of supplies being sent to him from the Voodoo Lady. I don't know if "the voodoo lady is evil!!" is the correct read, either. Everyone in MI has their own motivations, their own agendas, some simple and some complex, and I think the Voodoo Lady safely falls somewhere between purely benevolent or purely malevolent, or maybe not even on that particular scale at all.

I just assumed theres a bigger picture and shes setting up the advents for somthing cos in chapter 4 she hinted that there was a bigger threat and in this chapter she admits LeChuck folled even her and this want part of her plans so there still somthing mote going on

Elaine is the real Villain but has come to genuinely love Guybrush, but she can't quite stop her villainous behaviour. (This Explains a lot) She really wants to be the demon bride of Threepwood, but he's too oddly noble. Now LeChuck is gone Elaine can get back to her villainous ways without that pirate getting in her way.

While Voodoo Lady works on the correct ritual to get Le Chuck as a proper zombie instead of the awkwardly independent revenant he had been before, she decides to let Morgan out the Underworld. She may be more independent than wanted , but hey she has an advantage over Le Chuck- Guybrush likes her and Elaine has damaged his trust. Ghost Pirate Hunter Morgan Le Flay might actually work better in the end.

I agree with others who say the voodoo lady is not "evil" per se. She isn't deliberately trying to make Guybrush's life (or LeChuck's life, for that matter!) a misery. She's just doing things according to her own agenda.

I'd probably class her as selfish / self-interested more than anything else.

Am I smelling a Morgan LeFlay spin-off game?...

I don't want any more Morgan or Winslow for a next season. I mean, I want more newcomers! And some HT
    Marley
    perhaps

"In order to free herself from the strings of fate Elaine makes a reckless gamble. She loses. Disheartened Guybrush gave up. But support from an unlikely friend gave him one last throw of the dice."

"Love is not always returned. Yet it is not the same as trust. A potent sacrifice enabled Guybrush to return to the living. Little do the Threepwoods realise how potent"

"And a strange deal allowed Morgan to not only walk the Earth once more but interact with it."

I think the monkeys were underdone. There was a lot of intrigue about them for the whole season, and then they all just... sat there.

Right you are!! I was expecting them to be on LeChuck's ship instead of some skeleton crew or at least doing something useful for him on all this islands. Instead there were just sitting there, all hypnotized.

    Another secret to be revealed...

And HOW exactly did Guybrush get his hand back?
  • edited December 2009
He didn't, in fact, his whole body was created anew, along with his clothing apparently. His lost hand is still in the, erhm, hands of the Voodoo Lady apparently.

Okay, but wasn't this supposed to be clarified? All we got is "Oooh, Lefty's back!" and that was about it. I was expecting the Vaycalians with their reattaching limbs skills to come in here...

It seemed pretty self-evident to me. After all, the magic erased all the injuries he suffered at LeChuck's hands and the general unpleasantness of being dead for a while, why not his hand too?

Plus, you can tell it's a new hand, not the original reattached, because there's no wedding ring.

    No, because you
USED THE WEDDING RING to get back to the living world. It's gone, just like the grog, Franklin, etc from the first magic ritual thing.

No, you actually know it's a new hand because
apparently the Voodoo Lady has the old one.

...what? No it's not. Didn't you see Guybrush
put it back on Elaine's finger? I meant his ring - the basic gold band that was on Lefty when Morgan sliced it off.

Elaine: "You want to make Guybrush your undead groom!"

Morgan: "Yes, but I'm not going to use Voodoo. That never works."

Morgan to Elaine: "You really do love him, don't you."

Elaine: "Why the hell do you trust the Ghost Pirate Hunter LeFlay?"

Guybriush: "Without her friendship, LeChuck would have won."
