I like other 90s bands, but I love aqua! They are just the funniest most comical and fun band ever!



In 2008 they toured around Europe with remixes to their original work, got back together to make a new release Back To the 80s!

    Too much? I get carried away, my mother says I'd fight to the death if I was defending someone. People tell me I have issues, some times I just snap and let go. Guess I'm the only one who likes Aqua, lol. See ya all later, going to go play some Enemy Territory.

    I like Aqua. Especially their fast paced songs. I'm a bit sick of slow paced ballads. I also like ABBA, so I guess my taste in music doesn't count as taste.

    It's not the only music I like, I'm glad that someone else appreciates it. You're not alone. The group sold an estimated 33 million albums and singles, making them the most successful Danish band ever.

    I think people are just being quiet here because all Aqua is known for is Barbie Girl, (which they got made fun in school for liking )which is rather disappointing. I enjoyed reading the negative as well as positive comments in this thread, thank you.

    While I dislike Aqua, I love a number of bands that the majority of the world despises, so I get where you're coming from. One of the joys of music is discussing it with like-minded people, and so it can suck when you can count a band's fanbase on one hand.

    I love their first album and some of the Techno-Remixes on their singles. But as much as you may try their big time is over and will propably never come back.

    What about Dee Lite?
    I know it's a goofy, energetic, stupid fun band but it's so carefree that I can relax and enjoy it. I rarely pick things apart I usually just try to enjoy them. Unless i feel like arguing...

    Pure 90s trash, lol.

    I used to LOVE Aqua!(and by that I mean had both their albums, a few singles, even had posters on my walls...and other merch.)

    But..I think the age of Aqua is gone.
    (Although I sometimes blow the dust off their second album, love it.)

    They were a fun band, nothing too serious, but if Barbie Girl and Doctor Jones could somehow mysteriously dissapear, I'd be happy with that.

    Me too, made lots of people hate the band. I'm psyched they are coming out with another album. Rene and Lene have been very busy with their own styles, I can't wait to see how a modern Aqua collaborates together. They are definitely trying something different, their remixes have a more modern techno dance beat to them.

    Personally I think the band is capable of striking it big again. I honestly think their brilliant and if they focus together that they have what it takes. They broke up from personal problems that are no longer existent, I think now that all the stupid shit is out of the way they can be like they were during their first album, focused. I believe that their second album had alot of good songs though.

    I can't wait to see these talented artists come back together after all these years. They have more range than most nay sayers know.

    Lots of their independent music is over looked and is potentially a hit and when they get back together it's going to be a BANG.

    I started to listen to it in High School too. Yeah, I was 15, I'm 22 now so I came into it pretty late on.

    I promise you the 3rd album is going to kick ass.

    In their prime, Aqua's singles managed to chart top ten in a number of countries where European pop acts would not normally succeed, including the United States, Australia, and Japan. The group also caused controversy with the double entendres in their "Barbie Girl" single, with the Barbie doll makers Mattel filing a lawsuit against the group. The lawsuit was finally dismissed by a judge in 2002, who ruled "The parties are advised to chill".

    I love this band so much and this is coming from a guy who hates music.

    What I like about aqua is that it's artistic, almost poetic and most their songs don't literally mean anything or literally focus on anything. They're so liberating and free flow experiences. I just hope that album 3 wont be full of BF/GF songs and crap like that.

    Nope, it's still kicking about - it's actually a lot older than I thought too, guess the album was a while in the making. Since this is a continuation of the same stuff (Aqua and their third album), I'm going to add it to the existing thread. Please don't see it as a form of censure. :)

    LOL, you're messing with my posts! Nah,I was being silly. I just wanted what's fair, and well after I heard some reasoning I was fair to what I heard and I realized that you guys have your reasons. I wouldn't want your job. I say about any job, don't judge it before you've tried it yourself.

    The album may of gotten delayed because Soren got whiny about it, what can he say, he's a artist.

    The third album is scheduled to come out on the 6th. I want to live for 4 more days. And tommorrow is the Duke Nukem Forever demo. So I want to live for that.
