Twitter

I'm guessing quite a few of you people are on Twitter, so post your Twitter address here, then we can all stalk follow each other. Here's mine:

haggisnl

I mostly use Twitter for writing fiction, so you'll always have something fun to read if you follow me. ;)

Could someone please explain to me the purpose of twitter? is it sort of like the facebook status? I don't use social networking sites.

I would have one, but it would be awful dull

08:32 - Burned toast again, fiddlesticks

I wouldn't exactly be keeping an eye on myself

I got a Twitter as a joke. I have only one post and it says "Going to the Bathroom." All future posts will most likely follow suit...

It's sort of like that, yes. But something I hadn't appreciated myself before, is that Twitter is just a medium, and in this case, the medium is not the message. You don't have to write "I am going to the bathroom" or "I am standing in line at the supermarket", you can use it to write about anything. The only limitation is the 140 characters, which makes it all the more interesting, in my opinion. I love writing short stories on it.

I use twitter to bug haggis, and throw something completly out of left field, to throw him off guard.

I think twitter is a great way to keep people in your buisness updated, fans of your updated, and just to let everyone know how your doing.

The whole twitter and facebook is just a big way to advertise. If you have loads of disposable income join twitter.
  • edited January 2010
What? Disposable income? Facebook has ads, yeah, although I don't notice them half the time, but twitter doesn't really have anything like that. I guess it has little ads for itself with that weird definition thing that pops up on the side, but otherwise I haven't seen anything else.

I think he was meaning that Telltales Twitter feed is an advert for telltale, and so on.

I don't usually see normal ads anymore, i use Adblocker, on firefox.

I like TTG's tweets! The posted one of my posts before! Long live TTG!
  • edited January 2010
Well if you follow a company it makes sense that they'd mention their own products from time to time. It's not like Telltales twitter feed is BUY MORE SAM AND MAX every ten minutes or something, either.

    The last TTG tweet

"Hey, the first Dank comic of the new year is up! http://bit.ly/8fW1Tp
    15 minutes ago from ttg"

Updating my dA and/or blog and/or RL status once in a while.
Getting more active in the dA department though...
  • edited January 2010
You might as well post your dA account here as well. I think you're the last person on the board not to list it in your signature.
