This is almost too much, as there were so many great movies in the 80's. Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Robocop, The Terminator, Back to the Future Parts 1 & 2, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, the first three Indiana Jones movies and the list goes on and on.

Wall Street to me is probably the 80's movie. Not because it reminds me of better times when I was young, but because it's just a great snapshot of how the excess of the 80's had its price

In addition to what's already been said I have to add John Hughes' films, especially The Breakfast Club, Weird Science & Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

gee, that's a tough one. but if i had to choose one, i'd have to go with Back to the Future. the greatest 80's movie i grew up watching was Back to the Future. i remember i was in preschool and whenever i could i would always knock on my teacher's heads and say "Hello! Hello! Anybody home? Think, [teacher's name], think!"
