BANANG!! - TTG's Company Running Gag?

edited February 2013 in General Chat
I found a YouTube video of ToMI's Banang! gag, and in its description it said that this is TTG's company running gag in all their games.

Any truth to that? I doubt Banang has appeared in Strong Bad or Wallace & Grommit since it was introduced in Sam & Max: Season 2.

Don't know. I only remember it in Sam and Max season 2 and TOMI. Is it an official Telltale video or is it fan-made? If it's official then maybe it'll become a running gag in the near future, otherwise it's probably untrue.

It's only appeared in the games Telltale have made since its conception (CSI excepted, it's a bit too silly for that), so it may be a new running gag. If it crops up in The Devil's Playhouse, then it may well be.

I hope so, it's a fun word to say. Ba-NANG!

EDIT: Ooo, post 400. Go me.

It's only been in Season 2 and Monkey so far, so I'm not sure you could really call it a running gag yet.

It would become a running gag if you put it in S&M season 3! At least by my standards…

On the S2 DVD, there's a secret alternate Banang Ending-if you know how to find it.

I assume they are referencing Tang On a related note my wife's brother's name is Teng and growing up he would often get teased about this beverage.

Bananas are the most marvelous fruit in existence. But if they're gonna be drinkified, cream or milk must be involved. I would be dubious of a real world Tang-esque incarnation if it's preparation is anything like actual Tang.

Doesn't make the Banang gags themselves any less brilliant, of course. :D

I don't think the Banang gag is strong enough to carry over past Sam's floor convulsions. But that's just me.

There's a font in MS word called Batang. I discovered this while writing a paper in the middle of a crowded computer lab, and proceed to say "Batannnggggg" to the stupefaction of all.

I use UnBatang for my ebooks actually.
I wonder why it's called un-batang and what the relation to regular batang is... open source equivalent?

    Yes, yes, more yes.

And where I live people don't like bananas. When there is a new product that's banana flavored, commercials that advertise the other varieties of the product never shows the banana flavored one. It's like companies are ashamed of having it. There is that ice cream commercial which goes like "all flavors you enjoy! chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and nuts!" Bitch, banana is the best of them.

And we don't have Nesquik banana here. Because they think noone will drink it. This land is fucking cursed.
